The hair salon is under new management new owners. It is an extremely high customer service. They really take care of their clients. They just schedules. I've visited twice now and enjoyed my experience. Both times the owner cut my hair, and it came out exactly how I wanted. Everyone is very friendly, and they just remodeled the place which came out great. I spent 8 years going to the same person before moving to Michigan, so I will happily stick to this one now. I have gone to Taylor Cuts since 2013. My stylist is Marie, she is fabulous.she listens and gives you ideas. The prices are very affordable, and you can find coupons on their website. Senior citizens get a 20% discount and everyone gets 20%off on Mondays. The also provide waxing services. Give them a try. Also free coffee! 5/20/18 update. I needed to get a trim and since I had my nails done next door, I figured I would just go here for a trim. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! First off, they had one person working, so had a slight wait. No problem.... The stylist/ hair dresser ETHEL loves the sound of her own voice: She doesn't stop talking EVER! When she asked what I wanted, I told her just a trim and to not cut too much off the back, as I was letting it grow out for some length. She totally HACKED me! She cut off WAY TOO MUCH!! I feel as if she didn't pay attention to what I asked for, and was so busy talking she just kept cutting. I'm not one to complain about haircuts being a bit short, ( it will grow back...) but I feel this was a TOTAL HACK JOB! It looks AWFUL! When I complained that she cut it WAY TOO SHORT, she tried to say she only took off " about a 1/2 an inch.... sorry, I did what you wanted." WTF?? She then said she'd give me the 7.99 price since I was "so disappointed with the cut." REALLY? This is THE WORST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER RECEIVED! If you value your hair and want someone to listen to what you want, I'd avoid going here! read more

I give them 2 stars because the prices are great. The people themselves aren't bad. I went there many times and had some good and bad experiences. Mostly bad though. My beef with them is that they don't seem to understand curly/wavy hair. I have to keep my hair layered or it gets way too bulky. Mostly my experience has been that they rush through a cut. I get what I call "surface cuts". They seem to only shape the outer layer of hair when my needs a bit more attention than that. Even if I ask for layered hair they don't take time to layer it correctly, most of the time they don't put my hair up in sections to make sure they get one section at a time. They just seem to guess and it makes my hair look really bad. If feel forced into spending more money on my haircuts by going to other salons than I want to. read more

I've been going here for years and always ask for the same #4 haircut after previously getting a #6 with few issues until today. That's all I've ever asked for and I've never been asked any questions and have been charged $6. Today I was charged full price $14. When I asked about the price increase, the woman quickly said its always been $14 and pointed at the sign. When I tried to explain that it's been $6 for years, she interrupted and said that she's been working there 8 years and that she asked me what I wanted and I said it sounded good to whatever she claimed to have said and if I wanted a "buzz" I should've said so. I also tried to explain that I've never been asked a question and I've always been charged the same price by their employees, so why would I even think to specifically state "buzz" when every other time, the person cutting knew exactly what it was and charged me the same price. She was the only exception. She kept interrupting me and claimed she didn't want to argue, while it was clear to me that she did. By the way, during the actual haircut, she continue to interrupt when I tried to speak and never shut up complaining about her hip, her back, her and her family experiences with Covid, her needing 2 1/2 year to retire at 70, etc while cussing repeatedly. I don't mind a cuss word now and then, but she was too much. On a side note, there is another another older woman that made my son very uncomfortable when racial statements. read more

I actually used to think that this place was great, until today when I sat there waiting for about 45 minutes & it was all for nothing, I was a walk in unfortunately. As I sat there waiting they were calling out for their customers that had appointments, but they weren't even there on time, one of them walked in around about 10 minutes late, as I sat there thinking I would be next, they called the late arrival first. Ok fine, they had an appointment and I didn't so I sat there waiting some more, they then call someone else again with an appointment and he is not there, well he walks around about 25 minutes later, as I still am waiting and should be next so I thought, but not so much they took another late arrival before me. So after sitting there for 45 minutes I asked how much longer I would have to wait & their response was I don't know, but we have to take the appointments first & then the walk ins, so at that point I was done & just left without getting my hair cut. Needless to say I will never go back there again. read more
