Not sure they'd let you use theirs anyway. There is no parking lot. The YMCA lot doesn't allow for park parking. You have to park on the street. There is usually close parking available. There is no shade. It gets really hot during the summer. All in all, I like the park for its age range. I wish there was a bathroom. We've had to leave early a bunch of times because we need a bathroom.

There are paved paths and clear routes to trails and the beach. We ended up walking them down to the river, which had a lovely sandy beach, which was such a surprise! There were benches and tables down there, which I am sure are very coveted in the summer season. For a nice fall day, this was the perfect spot! I would love to come back here with some takeout and enjoy a lovely meal on the river. Very dog friendly, great views, and awesome amenities (water fountain, showers, trails, easy signage, bathroom). It truly has everything and is completely beautiful. There is tons of parking and it usually isn't too busy. They have yurts, tent camping, and drive in camping. All gorgeous spots. There are 3-4 amazing river access spots. The river has deep spots, shallow, fast, and slow, making it perfect for any speed of swimmer to hang out. There are usually people in floaties and on paddle boards enjoying the area. The view from the suspension bridge that connects the two sections of the park is stunning. It reminds me how much beauty Washington has and gets me choked up just thinking about it. There are endless cool trails to explore, all leading to fun little adventures and scenic views. This is the perfect park to just spend a day getting lost in nature, swimming, having a picnic, or having a leisurely campout.

There is a sign that you must have some feet in between groups. You'll get to the trail which is at your right. Watch out for bears with cubs. It is a nice trail with pepples at the beginning. Not a good idea for strollers but still can have a great time at the lawn. Easy parking near the baseball field. Good way to spend family time on a weekend.

It's a small park with a playground structure but there's a decent amount of grass for picnics and certain outdoor activities. The cool thing is that they have some private cabins that can be rented. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance making this park a nice spot in the area.

There's a great little railroad-themed playground that my son plays at. They have a fun wooden play set with a metal slide that's very zippy. Also, there's a baseball field that has games you can watch from the tree-shaded benches. I really like sitting there on a sunny summer day while the kids play. All around the park are railroad tracks with old train cars to look at. My husband drove my daughter and I here this morning, and I was surprised to see some farm animals here (cows, horses, pigs, ducks, rabbits, goats). There were some kids waiting to ride a horse too, and it looks like they also took them to the trail in the park (there is an equestrian trail too (yes, I've never seen that word in my life until today lol). The park seems well-maintained, and the barnyard area looks clean too. There are electrical wire around some areas of the barnyard, so I'm guessing some people violates the rules of no feeding/touching the animals regardless of the signs. I've never seen it before, so we exercised extra caution while trying to see the animals at a reasonable distance away from the wires. The park itself looks like a forest with super tall trees and fresh air. Some parts of the park is paved and it also looks well-maintained despite the horse poops on the road. There is a small creek in the park that kids can easily get accessed to as well. The bathroom was also clean despite looking like a bathroom at a campsite. ps. There was also a cat who came to me to let me pat. It also meowed when I stopped meowing, so I had to pat it again (this repeated for maybe 5 times). I am not sure why nobody else mentioned this, so I'm guessing it's a stray.

There's no feeding the animals as they're on special diets, but some of the animals like the goats will come up to the fenced area for pats. I can see why they don't allow feed, as when I visited there was a private party with lots of kids-the animals would have probably gorged themselves if there was free reign of food. I liked how there was an outdoor row of sinks at the restroom facility since it encourages good hand hygiene after petting the animals. There's also a family restroom to make this place especially family friendly. I didn't have time to check out the trails, but they go through a wooded area and it looked cool.
