When…read moreI came back later to pick the battery up I had a hard time getting the attention of the guy that's doing nothing at the counter but he finally looked at me and I told him I wanted to pick up my battery and (after looking confused) he goes back and doesn't come back for 10 minutes which I found to be rather odd. So I asked the female employee to go back and see what was happening--she had a very nice attitude and was friendly. She didn't come back for a few minutes so I asked the other guy at the counter to go back and check. The second guy finally came out and he started laughing like a maniac. I nicely asked if he was on drugs or something and he said no this is the way I am all the time ( I thought well that's too bad and pointed out that AutoZone employees don't usually act like that Then he made it clear that he thought it was funny that I had waited over 10 minutes only to find out that my battery was defective. He then slapped the sticker on the side of the battery (which said ("defective") on it to make his point. A few minutes later I talked to the manager about his behavior and he just stands there hardly moving like a Stoic from the days of the Greeks. He finally moves and tells me that he doesn't believe that his employee was laughing about my battery being defective and so there's not much of a problem. I was rather surprised at finding three 1 and 2 star type employees in the same AutoZone locations as this had never happened to me before. It was kind of like spotting a UFO or walking past a haunted house in July to me. Ha. But I recallef that about a year before I had encountered some rude behavior at this location at that time.

First of all, there is No Kellogg's cereal here; This is a hardware store. I know I was a bit let…read moredown too. But the bigger let down was that a worker said they don't carry much steel material, which is the type of material we needed. The worker referred us to Ace Pipe & Steel. As for the layout of the store, the aisles can get you claustrophobic, especially this one weird aisle that forces you into a turn and there's a support beam in the way. That is the sacrifice for having more variety to offer. Last but not least, I have said that when a store refers me to a competitor store they gain some respect but this store lost it. They did not loose my respect inside the store but rather here on Yelp. I noticed that, after 9 months, Doug F. responded to Joe K. but instead of simply replying or commenting he wrote it as a review giving his store 5 stars, thus artificially bubbling his store's rating. In my book, this is cheating, unfair to honest businesses, and cause for loss of some respect. Hopefully they will redeem themselves in future visits, if I visit.
