My son is always working on his car and this is his go to store. This is also where I get my wipers, filters, etc. it's a great location, plenty of parking, the corner of Olive and G, where Lyon's used to be. The workers are helpful, I've seen them out there putting on wipers, headlights and batteries for people. That's great customer service. Another cool thing here are the reward points. 5 men just standing there and non of them were able to help me placing the headlight of my car. I really needed help as I'm a woman that know absolutely 0 about cars, It sounds fair that If there were 5 man just standing there and I just purchase $40 lights I could get some assistance. The man said he couldn't do it because it was very complicated and my model car has some hooks and needed special tools! Well guess what went on YOUTUBE and change it myself in 10 minutes. How sad!!! I went to buy snow chains on I believe Saturday, the guy looked up my car make and model etc. they had the chains in stock, saw that they were on the top shelf. Decided he didn't want to get them down, then decided to tell me "sorry your car is too new, we don't have the chains." Like because I'm a female and have no brain apparently, as if idk that chains go tire size. Look if you don't want to do your job say so. Don't make up some stupid excuse and piss someone off. The one chick was sitting there on a step stool eating, the other guy was watching the World Cup and on the phone, the one helping me didn't want to get my chains. I wasn't even the the only one who got bad customer service. There was a guy who needed his battery sized up and the other one was worried about the World Cup came and was like have you been helped and this guy was like well he was helping me but he's busy now, and the sales guy was like oh ok and walked away to continue not helping him. The girl at the end of the counter was the only one willling to work. Idk who the owner is but you need to get your employees in check majorly. I straight up told the guy well I'm going yo O'reilly at least they want my business. Went to the other auto store spent a good 85 dollars. I brought in my old strut for reference. They didn't have the part so I was told it would be ordered and would arrive on Friday. I called Friday and they had no idea what I was talking about. The female on the phone was rude. Said "if the part comes in...it comes in with FedEx" I gave my name and number and never heard from them again. This was six weeks ago. Needless to say I went to a competitor. Would not recommend this place to any friends after my experience. read more

I'M STUCK IN MERCED! Needed an alternator replaced while out of town. When guy at counter said it would be here at 1pm, I believed and trusted him. He (Odus) was great... very helpful earlier and top notch service. Heather, the manager... not so much. She left me on hold forever when I called at 1:30 to see if it was in. Hung up and drove there. Should not have been surprised when I found out it was not delivered. Wasted my entire day waiting for nothing. Odus was great, This Autozone as a whole sucks. Weak apology even though they knew this means I have to stay another night in Merced to get the car fixed. Just didn't care. Offered no other solution. Went in there to buy a very expensive battery charger. I was harassed by the ignorant woman that worked there for not wearing a mask. I have already had COVID-19 and I carry with me proof that I have the antibodies which proves that I am immune to it. Every educated person knows the whole point of getting a vaccination is to have the antibodies so you don't catch a particular disease or have less of a chance of catching it. This is the only place I go for car parts, mostly due to the workers. Everytime I come here the staff has been so helpful and reassuring when I have questions. They always know exactly what part I'll need for whatever fix I'm attempting. One worker even replaced my broken turn signal light for free. I cant remember his first name but his last name was Morales and he had a beard. I can't recommend this place enough for any repairs or questions you may have. read more

I was in a hurry and needed to get a headlight (high/low beam) bulb replaced. The employee quickly found the correct bulb, got me through check-out and performed the install. My car is a bit tricky and it took him 10 minutes to get the bulb replaced. Great service and they went the extra mile. I'd definitely recommend. read more

I had ~THE BEST EXPERIENCE~ at this store (3096 G Street, Merced, CA). DeMarco was super amazingly helpful! I was traveling through town in my bf's truck and the Check Engine light came on, so I decided to take it over to AutoZone and see if they could pull the code. It turns out it was the mass air flow sensor, which I was informed is a pretty important part of the vehicle. DeMarco helped me figure out what I needed to buy in order to get home safely. He even brought me a screwdriver to try and help me remove the part, so it could be sprayed out. I was having trouble with the angle, and the tiny screws, when an extremely kind customer and his lady friend pulled up next to me. They were another set of guardian angels, Leo and Desire! Leo helped me with the last tiny screw and even got his hands dirty and sprayed the part out for me. I literally left there **shaking with gratitude** for these three wonderful souls. AutoZone should definitely hire more kind and patient souls like DeMarco! read more

Customer service would not be their strength. 2 customers, 3 employees, one would think it would be easy to get assistance. One employee was helping the other customer, the other two employees continued to stock shelves and scan products. Finally, one of then was able to pull them self away from the fascinating task of scanning products. His question still amazes me, "can I help you". I'm never sure if this is a serious query, I'm standing at the counter, waiting...what do you think? I'm always tempted to ask for a burger. I walked in to autozone expecting to me be helped 100 percent specially because the man there was wearing a grey shirt meaning his manager or something higher no instead I walked out feeling discriminated he had the long beard and his name tag said he spoke Spanish I asked him if they sold cabin filters for my car he said yes and when I asked to help me instal it he said oh no we don't do that but my friend went in there a week ago and said a guy from there literally left there work to go help her install it so I felt discriminated 100 percent because why would my friend tell me they do help but this guy didn't wanan help me he didn't even offer that there's instructions or anything o went to orlieghgs and they have instructions on how to do it yourself regardless this store sucks for this there district manager should train employees how to be more professional I get it if he can't install it maybe ten other guy just did it because he was trying to be nice but the fact he was negative and couldn't even solve the solution was like wow that's horrible customer service never going back read more
