It was very loud with kids everywhere of the staff's, which is fine but blaring tv of nonsense was just over stimulating. A baby in the walker just running into my chair while I am trying to relax while tv blaring not a good mix. I'm not anti kid, just not good for a bissiness that promotes relaxation. Then there are no prices anywhere and was not expecting to pay as much as I did for one color basic set. She told me "our prices aren't anywhere because we are remodeling". I am not from the West Bank so needed a quick fix. And boxes were everywhere so it was just a terrible experience overall. So i went here for the first time in forever and i feel like they were rushing a lot , but you can't rush nails or else they'll look rushed. I had a man start doing my nails by taking my current nails off and applying tip & a women lay my acrylic and paint but in between they stopped to work on other people. I feel like that's really unprofessional. I paid $75 for a set I didn't like & i just left bc I felt like if i would have asked for them to fix my nails it would still be rushed so i fixed them myself. Update 13 days later 7 nails are off , I'm not rough my nails last for months definitely do not come here ! read more

I was fresh off the plane ready to start my birthday vacation but first priority was getting my nails done. After multiple calls to various shops & research I decided to give TBD Nails a try. I called the nail shop to ask about pricing, dip powder availability & wait time. Emma stated they were available to take me in right away & had plenty of powders to choose from. TBD Nail salon is located in a mini business strip (maybe 3-4 businesses if that) with a small parking lot located right in front. Upon entering, I was greeted immediately & explained what I wanted. They asked if I had called & spoken with Emma I said "yes" they said "okay she will be right with you" & boom there she was walking in. She confirmed what I asked for & got straight to work. Throughout the process she suggested doing different styles to my nails for my birthday. I normally stick to my usual for the most part put was down to let her do something different. If you refer to my pictures you can see Emma did an AMAZING job creating a smooth pink ombre' with designs. My little heart just fluttered because I was ready to show them off. The best part was that the nails were layered thin enough for them to appear natural vs the too thick layers other shops do. I even got a cup of wine to sip on while getting my nails done. I honestly wish that I could have Emma has my personal nail manicurist (don't let me get rich lol) because I am so sick of going to different shops all the time. If I lived on the Westbank, this would be my go-to spot but because I live way in Dallas I'm out of luck until I visit again. So for anyone who lives in New Orleans or is visiting give Emma a try you won't be disappointed. read more

They offered drinks and made me feel like I could truly unwind for a bit. As I was leaving they gave me a gift bag that they were giving to all clients for the holiday. We were visiting New Orleans and looking for a place to accommodate 4 people at once for different services. TBD got us in the same day! The short drive was definitely worth it. The staff is all so friendly and the ladies doing our nails were very fast! We got speciality designs and the cost was much less than I expected. I never write yelp reviews but this has got to be the best nail shop on the westbank! Came in and it was very welcoming and quiet and the owner was extremely nice. They do 10% on Mon-Wed and for a frugal girl like myself, those are music to my ears. Based on "good" reviews and photos, I decided to come here from the east. I planned to get plain French tip on my toes and a full set. First and foremost, they don't have different options for their pedicures. Only regular or gel polish. $32 for a basic pedicure and an extra $5 for a French tip that they struggled with. They only scrub your feet. I've never been to a nail salon where even the basic pedicure, they will scrub up to your knees and massage you for longer than 5 minutes. They cut down my nails but didn't file them so by the time they went to polish, my nails were not even. I had four women working on my pedicure for different things. My friend who came to get a pedicure almost 20 minutes after me, finished the same service before me. They insisted that doing a straight French tip polish was more difficult for them and that I should've gotten gel. Now onto the full set..I previously asked the man doing my set how much they charged extra for design to which he replied, "it just depends on what it is." I show him the design and he just said "okay." I let him freehand the design and the design came out great(that's the ONLY thing I liked and would recommend) - didn't mention it was going to be $70+ for my full set when I asked how much the extra charge for design would be. He was very rough when shaping and filing my nails; cut me a few times with the electric file and a manual hand file. I would usually hold my tongue if I've felt like I've had a bad experience somewhere but the least they could've done was offer me a discount for how long they took on a basic pedicure with four women working on me and cutting me multiple times when doing my full set. 10/10 would NOT recommend coming here. read more

I love the nails I ,the friendliness,and the wine options. The staff even gave my husband some wine because it is my birthday. My only complaints are how much they rushed and how aggressive the process was.I don't get my nails done often but that was very painful and my nail beds are actually sore from how raw they are. I did not have a good experience here I went to get a full set and a pedicure for my birthday and I was very disappointed with my experience as well as the outcome. My pedicure was disappointing I left with uneven toe nails and my heels were still rough like I didn't even get a pedicure. My nails look terrible as well they are all different lengths and the outcome was disappointing and not what I wanted. Not to Mention it's only been 7 days and my nails are already lifting smh. I visited this nail salon about a week ago. I am new in town and am still searching for my permanent nail place, unfortunately this place won't be it. First, let me say that the salon is exceptionally clean, they were able to get me in on the same day, they have services like paraffin wax for a reasonable price, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Second, let me say I get my nails done regularly and I have high expectations which I admit make me pretty picky. When it came to the actual work of my pedicure and manicure unfortunately technically they were done poorly. My pedicure was okay but was rushed despite me being the only person in the salon during my whole appointment and the callous removal was disappointing. I couldn't enjoy my pedicure because through most of it I had to awkwardly balance a bowl where my hands were soaking off my nails and even when I made mention of the fact that working on both at the same time was uncomfortable they continued which again was disappointing. The real issue that will keep me from returning was the quality of my manicure. It was the worst manicure I have received in years. My cuticles weren't well trimmed, I think the technician forgot to shape my nails before dipping them and when I pointed it out she did it in between dips. The shape was incorrect and crooked. Then a gel coat was applied on top of powder dip and the paint was unevenly applied and you could see the brush strokes making my nails uneven and bumpy. The worst part was the manicure has chipped and lifted on the majority of my fingers and it has only been one week. I am sad I made such an expensive mistake because now I have to go get them redone somewhere else after only a week. I won't be back to this salon and thought there should be a review to reflect that. read more

This place is like 3 minutes from my house so I decided to give them a try due to the fact that I could not get to my original nail shop because of the bad traffic. When I walked in there were only 3 nail techs. 2 people doing pedicures and a gentleman during nails. Within 5 minutes of me waiting a young lady walked in and asked me what I needed today. I told her I just needed a pedicure . Once I was seated an older lady started on my feet. Now I'm very particular about my feet so I paid real close attention to her when she was doing my pedicure . She took my gel polish off with the drill. Which was fine. But after she just clipped my toe nails down a little and ignored the Cuticle build up. I asked her why didn't she do my cuticles and she started speaking in "her language " out loud and ignored me . She then applied the gel polish. Once she was done with that she took the tweezer things and was trying to get the white nail polish from around my toes. So I'm looking like... is she serious? I just wanna see if she's gonna play me and try to send me out the door like this. After about 1 minute she said " ok baby you finish" that's when I said oh ' no I'm not! Do you see how jacked up my feet is? Look at all this polish you have around my toe not even on my toe nails! So she started speaking out loud on her language again! Which that time I replied to her and asked what she was saying! She told me she wasn't talking to me and the younger lady said she would be right with me to fix it. So I waited for about another to minutes! Her and the older lady were still talking back and forth in another language ! Surely I'm sure about me. The young girl came behind her and cleaned my Cuticles up real good! And I'm like wow so she know this lady messed up my feet. Then she took the polish off and did it over and also reshaped my toe nails. So when it was time to pay my total was $60! For a pedicure ! I got gel polish! Which is usually an extra $15 and I also get actinic on my toes which is 10! But no way it should have been $60! If anything they should have gave me a discount for the inconvenience! I would NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!! I was so annoyed I just paid it and walked out ! read more
