I ordered 2 chicken subs last evening around 6:30pm. They told me 15 minutes, which kind of shocked me being it was Thursday night just after dinnertime. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I went to pick up my order after 25 minutes. Walk in, tell them my name. They repeat my order to me. He looks at all of the ready orders on the table and says mine is not ready yet. So I wait. It's not crowded, just steady. Patron after patron come and go with their orders and after about 15 minutes I approach the desk. He sees me and looks over the orders again and nothing. He walks to the grill area and says "is this order ready because he is waiting in the lobby". He comes back over and begins serving other patrons again. Finally after 30 minutes of him checking the orders, running to the grill, etc. I am the only person in the store. I ask how much longer. He says "what's the name again"? I tell him and he walks to the sitting orders and picks it up and says "that's my fault". Should have asked for a refund right there but I was too irked and just wanted to get out of there. When I get home and because my sandwich was sitting on its side for so long, the bread was completely soaked and just fell off. I had to eat my chicken sub with a fork. It was basically inedible as it was all chicken and cheese with 4, count them, 4 slivers of peppers and zero mushrooms. Just a poor overall experience for what is typically a great meal. read more

This was my first time trying landos and I spent a decent amount of money. So I was really surprised when I opened my sub and my bread was so soggy I had to eat it with a fork. The bread was not salvageable. My husband's sub did not have the ingredients on it that were supposed to be on it. The only reason why I gave it any stars at all is because of the pizza. Big fans of tc landos- especially their subs! 3 stars because I ordered what I thought was going to be a really great bbq chicken salad and wanted to give others the scoop. The Big Bad BBQ comes with beans, sour cream and tortilla chips *despite* not being in the description or checked off on the ingredients while online ordering. They *are* on the picture- which I only noticed after I ordered. We called and were told that is how the salad comes and I thought maybe I ordered the wrong salad so I went back and checked. It would be great if the online ordering auto populates the options for beans, sour cream and tortilla chips so if you are a purist, like me, you are aware and can take them off if you want :-) read more

Here's the deal. I was at a baseball tournament and being who I am I checked Yelp. So when I saw the cheese steak at this spot I had to have one! I get to the place and it's got a nice little setup. They have a cool menu on the wall but there's no pricing on it which is weird. The lady who was behind the counter and the kid who was cooking both were warm and friendly. The older gentleman not so much but that's life I guess. So for the food it was absolutely delicious. I had the kamikaze sub and my son had the buffalo chicken sub and he loved his too. I read the reviews, and they said that this was THE place for a steak and cheese sub. I decided that is what I wanted, went in, ordered and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. TC Lando's has great food. That being said every time we order something is wrong with the order - my niece's salad is missing the extra dressing or has items that were asked to be held on it or my nephew's quesadilla has something that we explained he was allergic to on it, but tonight was my turn. My niece clearly said small steak & cheese extra cheese, ketchup in a white wrap. I could hear her from the next room over. and she said that was the one part of the order that was repeated back to her. A plastic bowl held my steak and cheese, the ketchup was in another little container and the receipt said "no bread." Thankfully we hit the grocery store this weekend and had some bread on hand. Because of my work, I am always on the road. So, I came across TC Landos today and ordered a Steak and Cheese Sub. Doooooode how have I not reviewed Landos yet?!?!? Truthfully i have to get this out first off : if you grew up eating papa ginos in the 80s and 90s and noticed the change in taste and drop in quality since the early 2000s - this plain cheese pizza at Landos will reawaken that exact flavor and may even bring a tear to your eye out of nostalgia. That being said I haven't had a bad pizza there. The dough is fresh hand tossed and the sauce is flavorful but not overpowering. Absolutely DIVINE thin crust Pizza. Hands down my favorite in central mass .. or really outside the north end. Not feeling pizza? Get a monster steak and cheese sub and eat it over the next month. Again freshly prepared ingredients make the difference and they cut the steak super small for an enjoyable sammich experience. If that doesn't suit your fancy may I make a recommendation- the MOAB (mother of all burritos) Yes there's a Mexican place across the street but don't waste your time there (review pending) the real deal is at Landos. They DO NOT skimp on the portions. Burritos and quesadillas I've had are LOADED with meat and cheese, tons of rice and beans it's almost like they are giving it away. Very efficient take out service window makes for a quick pick up experience but I see why - dining in is rest not all that comfortable. I found it to be stuffy in the summer and drafty in the winter. Wish they hand a fountain or better beverage variety but still not bad. Take it home and enjoy. read more

This is my go to place when my family wants great subs and pizza. I wish they was closer because I would have their food any time I wanted pizza and subs but they are in the next city over but they are worth the drive when we have the time. I always get a large sub and have to finish the other half the next day. I usually get their Italian cold cut but like last night I went with the chicken jimbo, my wife loves their popeye pizza and my son is all over the place with giombati to the kamikaze. A friend has been telling me to eat here for years (when it was still called Tory's) an the rumors are all true: steak subs here are the bomb. Pizza is also true NY style. Huge, thin and garlicky. Loved all the food we ate here. My only complaint was the 65-degree dining room. Also, somebody should keep the bathroom door closed at all times cause it's close to the tables and not a fun smell to mix with your dinner. read more

Sometimes our subs are slathered in sauce, and they're perfect. Today they were dry as could be. This is the 3rd time the food has been tasteless. I recently had lunch at TC Lando's in Leominster, MA. This is a small, sort-of hole-in-the-wall sub shop. It is a bit worn down, but average when it comes to sub shops. There are a couple tables in the back room where you're able to sit too. If you don't know already, the portions are huge! While a +$9 small sub seems overpriced, keep in mind that their version of small is larger than most large subs at any other sub shop. Full of meat too! I ordered the "Cherry Bomb" steak sub. The steak was very moist, not dry at all. The cherry peppers and the pepperoni added a ton of flavor, while the almost sweet BBQ/tomato sauce mellowed it out. I only wish there was a little more heat, and more cherry peppers. All in all, an enjoyable and filling lunch! I will continue to come back. read more

First of all, I love this restaurant. The food is great and the service is good as well. Today, however, I experienced something that I never thought I would. I was having a nice conversation with two employees and it just so happens that we were speaking Spanish. Suddenly an older lady (I believe she's the mother of the owner) comes up to me and expresses how we should be speaking English, not Spanish. I for one, am more comfortable speaking Spanish sometimes and the cashiers were nice enough to accommodate. I was baffled that someone had the audacity to say that to a person and the fact that it was someone who represents the restaurant makes it even worse!That's not how you speak to your paying customers!!
