I almost want to bring all of the other BBQ places I've tried down a star, just because this place is so good. I found this place from a fellow Yelper's review, Jang C.'s review. I've been on a quest for good southern BBQ. I found some decent ones, but not the best. I've tried many of the top BBQ, and they can't even touch this place. I've past this area when I needed to go to buy grocery's at Publix. I didn't even know they had BBQ here. It is at a Shell gas station. Okay, so, lucky for me, it wasn't busy. I told them that it was my first time here, and they said, "We treat our customer's with love". And boy did they teat us with love. We didn't know what to get, there was so much food offered. So, they helped us out by letting us try their pork ribs. It is literally one of the best ribs I've had. I try not to over-exaggerate, but it is true. On top of letting us try their ribs, they let us try their peach cobbler. I am actually not a fan of cobbler. This may change my mind. I wouldn't eat it all the time because it is so sweet for me, but if you are a fan of peach cobbler, I would recommend you trying it out here. Is that all? Nope, they let me try their pasta, their shrimp pasta and their gumbo. So after the hard decisions into picking out what to order, we decided on their pork ribs and brisket. My sides were rice and mac n cheese. My boyfriend got the beans and mac and cheese. We got our ticket and paid at the gas station side. Once we paid, we showed them the receipt. When we got home, my boyfriend and I really do enjoy their ribs more. The brisket was good, but I'm bad and I like the fatty brisket more. I can't wait to come back and try their wings, I mean, actually everything. They treat you well over here, and all in a gas station, no doubt. I thought this was a food truck that was never manned for years. I totally missed the fact that they had a counter in the shell building. This is really good bbq, just stand outside at an off hour and watch how many folks are in and out for food. We had the pork and brisket and they were both excellent! The brisket was outstanding. We had potato salad and it was excellent with a slight kick at the end. We also had the jambalaya and I'd skip that next time. Still good but I'd rather something else. The cobbler was fresh and outstanding. I will always order the cobbler, that's a don't miss item. My wife said that she's going to just order the brisket and the cobbler next time. This is a very good bbq spot. I read the reviews and was 50/50 if it could live up to the hype. Let me just say it did. The brisket is one of the best ones I have ever had. Yes, it's located inside of a gas station but that doesn't mean it can't be good! This is a solid choice for BBQ and sides. I've only had the ribs for meat but they do them right, you can even see the smokers on the side of the gas station. They have good portions for a good price. The sides are ok to good. I've had the collards, green beans, Mac and cheese, baked beans, sweet potatoes, and potato salad. My least favorite side so far are the greens and I can't say that I have a favorite. I'm not a huge fan of their sauce so I usually sauce it up myself. read more

The ribs fell off the bone they were so tender!! The chicken was PERFECTION!! The sides ABSOLUTELY tastes like someone's family recipe passed down generations!! EVERYTHING seasoned to PERFECTION!! Omg I have drove past this place a thousand times and never thought to check it out until I found out they have Turkey Ribs. It is a strange set up where you order in the back then pay for the food up front with the gas station attendant. I went on a Saturday and boy that gas station stays busy. So much going on. When I walked to the back to order my food there were like 6 people waiting on food but it looked like they were getting served right away. I ordered a half rack of Turkey Ribs and the price was cheaper than other places I have been so that was a plus. I did not try any sides but will next time. I saw on Instagram that they had grilled lamb chops one day so I hurried to go get some. By the time I got there, they were sold out. . But Chef Shombe gave me a rain check and said I could come another day to get some and they would be on him! I thought that was very nice since this was my first time visiting there but I'd been following his IG page for months. I decided to get the turkey wings, ribs, sausage dogs, Mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, collard greens and potato salad. OMG!!! The turkey wings were smoked to perfection and seasoned just right. The ribs fell off the bone and had that grilled/smoked flavor I love. The sides were cooked like my grandma made them. Everything was sooooo good. My family of four ate off this food for two days. I've found my new favorite spot for soul food. I highly recommend this place! I'm definitely going back - for the grilled lamb chops and on days when he doesn't have those on the menu. read more

I swear to god this place has the best bbq i have ever tasted in my life! The bbq joint is inside a gas station but who cares when the food is this amazing! I ordered at the counter and had to turn and pay at the gas stations counter! Once I returned to the bbq counter my food was ready! Now the customer service can be worked on for sure! The young lady at the counter wasn't the most polite and she definitely didn't direct me to the bbq sauce or notify me about the utensils being self served. While crying over a romantic comedy on Netflix I ate 6 ribs, 1/2 lb of Brisket, and a Qt of Mac and Cheese. It was therapeutic!

Everything about my food was flavorless and no seasoning on anything. The collards tasted like nothing. Literally not even salt or pepper was used. The brisket was hard as a rock , the dirty was had not a lick of salt. Tasted like nothing. The only thing that was edible was the baked beans and sausage. I am extremely upset I wasted my $25 here. I passed this place for years because I thought all it was somebody on the corner selling ribs stopped to get gas and realized it's a whole restaurant in there so I had to try it and I did I ordered online because my first time in the line was super long I ordered a rib plate and a brisket plate for the next day lunch the ribs was well smoked falling of the bone and the brisket just what the doctor ordered.the sides was good too so if you coming down Floyd rd see the smoke better stop if you love good Smokey bar-b-que oh yea and the price is very reasonable!!! Chef Shombe is my caterer for life. I am saying this after one week of working with him. Tuesday morning I was referred to Chef Shombe by my neighbors, in need of a caterer for my mother in law's memorial service for Friday, yes just three days later because the other caterer wasn't respondent. Sure I could have reached out to any caterer, but what Papa God has for you, it is for you, and it is beyond good. For a reasonable charge, while my family was at the service, my neighbor gave entry to Chef Shombe to deliver and set up the food and drinks. What a relief, to not worry about preparing and setting up for the repast. When we arrived home shortly after the food delivery , the food was hot, all we had to do is say our grace and eat! I am yet speechless to how absolutely amazing the food tasted, I mean everything was delicious; fried chicken, baked chicken, fried flounder (the most talked about), mac & cheese, collard greens, rice and peas, rolls, a beautiful spring salad, and lemonade. Nothing was wasted, I had to hide away a few items for the next day, just to have left overs. So glad I did, everything was gone, not that we did not have enough, there was plenty. Family and friends were going for seconds and perhaps thirds throughout the day. Now...I am sold on Chef Shombe's peach cobbler!!! I purchased two full pans of peach cobbler from another place, Chef Shombe stated, I will bring a sample of mine (half pan) for you to try, when I say Chef's Shombe's cobbler is truly authentic, balanced, and it makes you want to go to a quite corner, face the wall to be at peace, and just enjoy every bit of it. Chef Shombe's half pan of cobbler is scraped and gone, I still have two pans left from the other place. I know professionalism and passion extremely well, I also know great quality food when I see, smell, and taste it. Listen, Chef Shombe is living in his passion, from the way he speaks about his food, to his delivery in every aspect, he is the epitome of the title ~ Chef. It satisfies my soul to know who to call on for future family events...no matter if it's Joyful or Sad. We tried the pulled pork, ribs, green beans and mac & cheese. We wanted to try the greens but they were sold out. Everything was delicious and the shredded pork was not fatty. The green beans were very seasoned in a vinegary, spicy, smokey broth and the mac & cheese was creamy. They make their own bbq sauce and it's really good. The location & inside of the Shell station is a little sketchy but the the food is definitely worth the trip for take-out. read more

The ribs were meaty and tender and the rub on them was delicious! The brisket was good, although some pieces were lacking in seasoning, the fatty portions were great! The mac and cheese was the best I've had in a long time! I mean strings of cheese with each bite. The beans were great too, spicy and sweet. The portions were not stingy at all. By pure happenstance I stumbled upon this hidden gem. Labor Day, no family members cooked, and I wanted some BBQ! I'd called 3 other places a little closer to home before I found this one. It's inside of a little gas station, but you can tell from the amount of patrons that the food is GOOD! You go in and to the left to place your order, they hand you a ticket and then go pay at the register. And then, you get deliciousness. The food is 5 stars! I'm only giving it 4 because the side portions are a bit small, and while I ordered the 2 meat combo with ribs and brisket, I only received my ribs and I'd driven too far home to go back. Check your food before you leave but if you're craving great, fall off the bone BBQ , give them a try. Got The small Rib Tip Dinner! Very flavorful! Although, there is a lotttt Of black pepper in the Mac n' cheese & Collards( luckily I am a huge fan of black pepper) it is overwhelming though! Where is this place? It's in the Shell Station on Floyd Rd, next to the Silver Comet Trail. I discovered place on my Uber Eats. How do you know if a place is good? Well, the Uber Eats driver eats your food! One hungry Uber Drive decided to eat my order instead of delivering. So I decided to handle this myself and visit TDT BBQ in person. I didn't mind it was inside a Shell Station. In fact, some great places were located in a Gas Station. When you pay, they give you a ticket. Then you take the ticket to the gas station cashier, and you pay there. Then you go back to TDT's counter and hand over the receipt. It's a weird system. Anyway, if you're close by, I think it's worth it to come and pick up your food yourself. Why? It's because they have a whole lot more stuff than the menu on Uber Eats. They make more sides than they list in the Uber Eats app, depending on the day. So skip Uber Eats and just bring your lazy butt over and order in person. Besides, you won't risk the driver eating your food. I love their BBQ. Their ribs are seasoned great. It falls off the bone well, and their sweet BBQ sauce goes well with it. The pulled pork is moist, smoky, and delicious. The corn bread is also sweet, fresh, moist, and good. Their green beans are packed with flavors. I tried other things, and most of their other items tasted great. I was never disappointed in anything I tried here. I think this is a hidden gem inside Mableton.
