If you like OverPriced & BAD BBQ !!! This is the place for you !!! The food cost is higher than the cost of living! & the absolute worst part is the food is bland ! This business goes by 2 different names. 1 has all positive reviews & the other has a the true! They are duping their customers with the fake reviews to get us in the door. To serve you meme BBQ! The food is overpriced & bland ! They need a new chef.

Collards and Mac, sorry for the awful photo job

I've had their food at some of the other locations, although it's been awhile. It's exciting to have more food options in this area so I wanted to give them a try again. As I remember, they're food is on the mediocre side. We got the baby back ribs, collards, and Mac n cheese. The rub on the ribs had a good flavor that needed a little more salt, sadly, the ribs were kind of dry. I didn't care for the red BBQ sauce. Mac n cheese lacked seasoning and the kinds of cheese were not the stronger cheeses that make Mac n cheese tasty. The collard greens weren't well seasoned either, I wouldn't have known that they were cooked with hamhocks if I didn't see it on their menu. They do have family meals available with a meat (no ribs) and two sides.

LAWRD!!! GC BBQ made my night!!!!! I was browsing on yelp when I saw it popped up on my list as a new restaurant. Its right off of Bankhead Highway/Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. It is below The Eddy Apartment complex, a nice up and coming area. I ordered online the brisket sandwich $8.99 and my husband had the pulled pork sandwich $6.99. I ordered a medium mac and cheese $7.99 for us to share. I selected curbside pick up but they are open for dine in with social distancing. The area seems to be a little gem and I cant wait to visit again. I use to frequent the location in Milton, Ga because of work. I am so happy there is a location so close to me. Thank you Grand Champion for making my husband and I night a success!! My husband is officially sold on the BBQ! I see some catering in the future.

Pork ribs, 3/4# pulled pork, 1/4# brisket, baked beans, collard greens, and some suds from the brewery next door.

Great curbside service with mobile ordering. Part of the Eddy, great area to visit near the river. Service is prompt, friendly, and lives up to the name. All their meat stands alone as excellent. The traditional sauce is very thin and tangy - which is perfect for any of their meats. The NC sauce is a mustard dressing with some sweet heat. Our favorite was the half slab of pork ribs. Just perfect, like candy. We also enjoyed their brisket. While I love it fatty, they do offer the lean option which is made perfect to order. All their pork and smoked meat gives you the option of outside/inside. Baked beans are simple, delicious, sweet, and compliment the meats versus being being the same flavor, as some places prefer the beans catch the smoker drippings. I love that style too, this is just a great version that is based on their traditional sauce. Will try the sausage and SC sauces next time. And we definitely recommend supporting this business and it's adjoining brewery or coffee shop.

    Macaroni and cheese side- $7

Food is ok tasting but drastically overpriced. The $7 side of macaroni and cheese is literally a single scoop in a 3"x2" container. Should be 1/4 the price.

    Brisket - bland

The food is so bland I almost thought I had Covid again. Employees were very nice but the food was't great. Very bland brisket and mostly flavourless. The BBQ sauce is very sweet and they don't have a variety to select from. Don't recommend at all.

The brisket is so good! Also really liked the potato salad. Love this bbq and how close it is to a brewery!

We really enjoyed our lunch here! I ordered the salad with smoked chicken, My husband ordered ribs with the Mac&cheese and collards - both were great! It was out quickly and they brought it right over to us at Reformation. We will definitely make this a rotation in our weekends.

    Green beans

Have driven by Grand Champion BBQ a few times, decided to try it recently. The bbq joint is attached to Reformation Brewery Smyrna. It's clean and friendly service. Has a cool modern vibe to the place. I ordered the chicken plate with green beans and potato salad. The green beans had a slight spicy taste to them but other than that, tasted like any green beans. The potato salad was ok. The texture of the potato was perfect, not too hard and not too soft, however it was on the sweeter end. If you like that type of taste then you may like this potato salad. The Chicken was ok as well. Overall, this BBQ place fell short in my expectations.

Mac Bowl with side of brisket and Carolina vinegar bbq sauce yum!

Mac and cheese was on point and the brisket was good however a little dry on the pieces with no fat. Prices are a little hefty, for what u get but all in all good service and nice location. We will be back!

Normally, I'm driving 20-30 minutes or more trying to find decent ribs and brisket, and half the time I end up disappointed. Owens & Co. absolutely knocked it out of the park. And don't be fooled by the location. From the side, you might think you're walking into some small "wannabe" BBQ joint. Walk through the front door and that impression disappears immediately. This is a real restaurant--with great service, great atmosphere, and, most importantly, GREAT food. We showed up around 12:50 on a Saturday afternoon, and I had my favorite lunch partner with me--my wifey--which made discovering this place even better. It wasn't very crowded yet, but the smell when we walked in was hypnotic. Smoked meats, BBQ, and all those incredible sides hitting you at once. The space itself is really nice, too, with huge windows and a great view. Then, while we were eating, the crowd started building both at the attached brewery and inside the restaurant. Before long, the whole place was buzzing with energy. I can't say enough about the team at Owens & Co. I don't remember everyone's names yet, but I plan on learning them because WE WILL be back. Great BBQ, great people, a great atmosphere, and a great Saturday lunch with my wifey. What more can you ask for? If you're anywhere nearby and you love real BBQ, check these folks out. They are the real deal!!

We ordered the brisket, pulled pork, lemon pepper wings, half slab of ribs, mac and cheese, and coleslaw, and everything was flavorful and cooked just right. The brisket was tender, the ribs fell off the bone, and the lemon pepper wings were some of the best we've had. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service. Chandler, who was working the register, went above and beyond. Not only was he friendly and welcoming when we ordered, but he also walked around the dining room checking on everyone, making sure guests were enjoying their meals, and even helped clear our table. That level of hospitality is hard to find these days and made us feel genuinely taken care of. Great food, amazing service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

I stopped by Jim 'N Nick's last Friday and ordered a two-meat combo to surprise my son at school…read morewith a nice lunch. When I say this was an absolute waste of money and still some of the worst barbecue I've ever had, I mean it. Honestly, I probably should've known when I saw "barbecue" spelled Bar-B-Q that we might not be on the same page about what good Southern barbecue is supposed to taste like. I ordered the chicken and sliced beef brisket, and neither meat delivered. The chicken didn't even look barbecued. It looked and tasted like a plain chicken breast that had been chopped up and served dry, with none of the smoke, char, moisture, or depth I expect from barbecue. The sliced brisket was equally disappointing. It arrived dry and grey, without that juicy tenderness, rendered fat, smoky bark, or rich beef flavor that makes brisket worth ordering in the first place. And honestly, I've had frozen brisket from Costco with better flavor and texture than this. Maybe they should start grabbing that and serving it instead. A restaurant with Bar-B-Q in the name simply should not be losing a brisket battle to something I can pull out of my freezer at home. And then there was the barbecue sauce. This might have been the biggest miss for me. It was extremely watery and completely lacked the smoky flavor and richness I want from a barbecue sauce. A good sauce should complement the smoke and seasoning already developed in the meat. This one didn't add anything enjoyable to the plate. The potato salad actually wasn't too bad. I probably would've enjoyed it more alongside a barbecue sauce I actually liked. The cheddar muffins were easily the best thing I tasted and probably the only item from this meal I'd willingly order again. I also ordered mac and cheese, but I never tasted it. Considering my opinion of everything else on the plate, that was probably for the best because I may have ended up having something else to add to this review. Visually, at least, it looked more promising than the rest of the meal. For me, authentic Southern barbecue should bring smoke, seasoning, moisture, tenderness, and layers of flavor before you ever reach for the sauce. The sauce should enhance great barbecue, not be responsible for creating all of its flavor. Unfortunately, I found none of that here. If you prefer very mild barbecue without much smoke or seasoning, this may be more suited to your palate. But if you're looking for the bold, smoky, deeply seasoned barbecue I expect when eating BBQ in the South, I absolutely would not recommend this as a representation of it. This was my second time giving Jim 'N Nick's a chance. There will not be a third. Thank you Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q Team Kay Lachelle
