The experience was so fun & whimsical. We dressed up for the part and everything. The bus is so beautiful! We loved every moment. We did the more expensive option & so we got really good food! One warning, if you're seated up top, the stairs are up are steeeeep. BUT, my friend with her cane was able to go up and down them slowly. We were so excited to do this. I cannot believe the lack of integrity of this company. We booked March 14th for a group of us, some coming in from out of town just for this and the bus not only NEVER CAME, but they have completely ignored our requests for a refund. Absolutely unacceptable. To fully paint the picture, their tickets are $85 each as the cheaper option (with tax). I thought my 3 year old daughter would love this, so since they don't offer kid tickets but claim even children need a ticket to board, I paid $85 for my 3 year old daughter as well. That's $170... Then I go downtown and had to pay $20 for parking. We waited for an hour and 15 minutes and this bus never showed up, completely abandoning the entire crowd of women waiting in their tea party dresses, hats, lace gloves and heels. Mind you, the bus runs for an hour and a half, so we waited what would have been almost the entire length of the actual ride around town. We called and called and someone would just answer and put us on an immediate hold and never came back to the call. We were absolutely starving as we had to eat breakfast only, expecting the noon bus ride to be our lunch. Imagine waiting in one spot outside with a 3 year old and you're both starving. It was horrendous. All we asked for was a refund for not getting the service at all and that request has been completely ignored. 0/10 A total of $190 straight down the drain because of this horrible business. Very disappointed today. While the experience is unique, it needs a lot of attention. The staff was very welcoming and the bus was cute. That's about it. The bus was so HOT, I felt sick. I couldn't drink the hot teas they were serving because of the heat. The food was mediocre at best and the bathroom on board was broken. There is NO WAY this bus can operate in Houston without a proper working air conditioner. They opened the two roof vents to let outside air in to circulate. . . If I could give zero stars I would. This was an awful experience and I want my 90 dollars back!!! They have stopped responding to my emails and I am reaching out to the BBB!!!! They did not arrive on time we had to wait over an hour, food was awful (jelly and butter couldn't even come out the container), teas were awful, the ride was less then 60 minutes and we looked at construction during the ride. I had a horrible experience this past weekend. The bus was 15minutes late picking us up from the meet up spot. In the middle of the tour the bus broke down. We were kicked off the bus and had find our own transportation back to the meet up spot. Food was ok but nothing to brag about. read more

I emailed the company early in the week to ask where alternate pickup would be since I was sure the street would be blocked off for the No Kings protest. No response. I also called the 212 number, but you can't record a message. Guess what--the street was blocked off. They sent a text around 2:40 to say they were coming (where?) in ten minutes. Then nothing till 3:20 saying they were meeting us at least 8 blocks away at 3:47. We expect you will refund our money within three days. My daughter and I went this past Sunday at 5:00pm. We were truly underwhelmed. Yes the bus is nicely decorated, Now let's talk about the food.. The food was already out on the table as we boarded the bus. Once seated , I looked at the food closer and It appeared to me to have been sitting out for some time . I ask our server if the food was from the previous tour and she said no.. After eating the deviled egg basket My daughter and myself became nauseous . This ruined the entire experience. The bread used for the petite sandwiches was all hard and crumbly. The desserts that were supposed to be served were not , specifically the Empire cheesecake and Floral fun pops . I brought this to the server's attention and she said that they were only included with the lux package , which was incorrect I showed her the picture of their menu . She still insisted that it was incorrect on there web site . Lastly ,our plates were picked up and the server later came around with pearls of caviar and plopped them on the table , I thought in an attempt to makeup for our missing desserts. After eating I think it was to get rid of food they going to throw out . Would I do again . Nope. Once on the bus the air conditioning was out, the food was awful we couldn't get a whole cup of tea and food that was supposed to be there was missing. The souvenir tumblers were also missing. Once they arrive and we got on the bus there was NO HEAT!! We were wet, cold and miserable. When she brought the tea around she would only give a little. The decor was nice, the sandwiches were terrible and it appeared the food had been sitting out. The service was mediocre and the older black lady with the short hair needs to not be rude and provide better customer service. Then we were told to contact customer service. When I contacted customer service they offered me 5% towards another tour. We were only on the bus for maybe 25 mins. Please be warned. STAY AWAY from this place. My family was excited about going on this tour event. What a disappointment. The company sent an email on the day of the tour about one hour from the start time and said they were moving the pickup location. We never saw this email since again it was sent about an hour before the start time -- so late. We arrived at the original location and did not see the bus. So we called to ask what happened. They said they had moved the pickup location and would only give us 5 minutes to get to the new location and they were leaving. That was impossible for us to get to the new location in that short amount of time. We then later reached out to them to reschedule our tour and they refused to do that without charging us an additional $185. This is a dreadful company. Please do yourself a favor and stay far, far away!!!! I have never witnessed such absolute dreadful customer service. This company is horrible. read more

My only thing is my daughter did not get to enjoy her experience due to peanut allergies, we did ask in advance and the staff was very nice to point out which not to touch but I'm sure 100 percent is never guaranteed, and even though she did not touch the ones the staff told her not to touch she still got a bad reaction. Additional Information: Tea Around Town needs to improve on their food, service and ambiance. The air conditioning was not working and the temperature was 90 degrees. The bus being so hot puts them at risk for food poisoning since the bites they serve contain dairy as well as fish. They offered hot tea in a 90 degree cabin and when we asked for ice to refresh ourselves they had a shortage because everyone was trying to survive this miserable ride. My husband has contacted the business to resolve this matter and what they offered was two free rides, what makes them think I would like to experience Tea Around Town again? Such a cute experience. Decor/ambiance was on point. Lela, Terri and Immanie were super sweet. Music playlist was fitting for a tea party. Now the cons: -Restroom left much to be desired as there was no running water. -food was mediocre. The chicken salad sandwich was delish but the other ones felt like they were not filled enough and the bread was dry. The scones were hard. Good variety of options but portions seem to be on the lacking side. -there is only tea, water and ice available on the bus tour. Also only received 3/6 tea types during the tour. 0 stars if I could!! We had a terrible experience yesterday evening!!! I was with a bridal shower that was scheduled 4/11/26 for a 5:00 pm pickup. Our party finally gave up on waiting and left at 6:45 pm and went to dinner elsewhere (prior update was 6:40 pm arrival from the bus). Host received an update 2.5 hours after scheduled pick up time (after we were long gone) that the bus was at the pickup location, and there was a representative waiting for us. Wasted time waiting, wasted time + money + energy on dressing the part for the tea party , and wasted money on parking. Host Evelyn Garza needs a refund, and I want a reimbursement for the cost of my tea party accessories, parking, and mileage! Still won't make up for my precious lost time searching for accessories, moving personal appointment around to attend the bridal shower, getting dressed, driving 25 miles and sitting in traffic to access downtown location, making and paying for parking reservation, or the 2 hours lost waiting and waiting and waiting!!! They were not able to provide anything to eat or drink for my DIABETIC friend. All of the tea had sugar (despite the fact that it wasn't sweet), and when we asked for hot water, they didn't have any?!? I'm just a little confused considering that hot water is one of the only two ingredients in hot tea. I was invited to enjoy this experience with seven others. It's a cute concept but need some work. I did the one in Dallas last Thursday evening. The bus was way too warm and it's only June in Dallas. I was pretty uncomfortable the entire time and I was wearing a sleeveless dress. The food looked beautiful however it lacked flavor and filling I was disappointed in the quality of the food and the desserts were beautiful again, but not good. It appears they may have been frozen. They were not fresh the first tea we sample was so hot. I scolded my tongue then we sampled other iced teas which were fine. There was a tour narrator on the bus but if you were sitting in the back where we were, we could not hear her another hostess also sang again, it was cute. The entire ride took 60 minutes, so the website is incorrect by stating "Experience duration: Approx. 90 minutes (75 minutes touring, 15 minutes boarding/disembarking)."
