Sorry to say that Tea Be Honest was a miss for me. I came in on Sunday night New Year's Day and they had a flow of people coming in and leaving. I ordered two regular Dirty Milk Teas, one with boba and another one with egg pudding. I did ask for 75% sugar level (which may have thrown off the drink). Unfortunately both milk teas were really overthrown by the creamer. It had more creamer than tea ratio. Could've have been a one off. read more

The barista with the glasses and brown hair is very rude and had so much attitude. We accidentally came in 10 minutes before closing but didn't mean any harm and this barista was so unnecessarily mean. She made sure we felt unwelcome and that we were a bother even though we didn't mean to come in right before closing. We left and didn't get drinks because we have common decency, unlike this barista. We would never want to cause any trouble but this barista was unapologetically rude. She needs to be fired because this kind of attitude at a service-oriented place is unacceptable. We are just younger girls and we felt very much bullied. I got the Jasmine Green Milk Tea with boba and I was thoroughly impressed coming from a socal boba enthusiast. My friend got the Dirty Milk Tea (which was just a brown sugar milk tea) and flavor wise, it was nothing I haven't tasted before but still good. Tea Be Honest is located in the Waring Plaza. It is a big plaza with plenty of parking. I honestly did not think I will find a decent boba spot in Palm Desert. I tried their Jasmine Green Milk Tea with boba, Mango & Strawberry Fruit Tea Blend, Messy Brown Sugar with boba, and Sweet Garden Fruit Tea with boba. The jasmine milk tea has a strong brown sugar taste to it with a lingering sugary taste to it, but it has a good mix of cream/milk with the tea and it was on the sweeter side at 75% sweetness. The mango and strawberry blend reminds me of a Slurpee from 7-11, the mango was a bit more overpowering in flavor. The brown sugar drink was not that sweet surprisingly and tasted like a brown sugar milk. The Sweet Garden is kiwi based, the cream was a good addition because it gives it a good mix of salty, sour, and sweet taste - it was good at 75% sweetness. The boba was had a good chewiness to it and not sweet which I prefer. I recommend the Sweet Garden Fruit Tea with boba. read more

Absolutely delicious boba in HUGE cups. Extremely reasonable prices as well. We chose the mango galaxy tea, a strawberry tea, and some rose bubble tea. Make sure you adjust the sweetness level of your drinks, because the default comes quite sweet. The flavor of the rose tea was great as it came with whole rose buds, while the galaxy and strawberry teas were more for the aesthetic and tasted less strong. Highly recommend to anyone passing through Palm Springs! And definitely get the large cup ... it was pretty much the size of my forearm :O read more

Looking for a new tea spot we fell upon this gem. The staff was welcoming and patient as we asked questions. The large cups are very tall, so they fit in cup holders, but be careful of them tipping over when going around a turn in the car. Because of the high heat outside we wanted drinks that were refreshing and we found that in the fruit teas. We visited a few times during our time in the area and enjoyed each of the teas we ordered. One heads up - there are seeds in the passion tea. That was the only downside we found in a drink. Spitting the seeds into a napkin wasn't fun. read more

We love tea and have tried a lot of tea and boba places. The tea here was a bit disappointing. We ordered a regular matcha milk tea and a large peach black tea. Their milk teas are non-dairy (they said they use a plant based creamer). The matcha tea tasted very bitter and was a lot coarser and seemed like they use a much lower quality matcha. I've had much better matcha at other places where it's a brighter taste and cleaner finish. For the peach black tea, we could barely taste the white peach in the tea and the black tea seemed lower quality. read more

I love getting boba here, it's one of my favorite spots in the desert. I got their Lavender Milk Tea and my friends got the Early Grey Milk Tea, Brown Sugar Messy Milk Tea, and I think another Messy Milk, I don't remember. I usually order the Lavender MT at 50% sugar and it was just the right amount of sweet. The boba was chewy and had a good consistency. Service was quick. I recommend trying this place out. read more

The flavor selection of the teas here is so cool; so many fruit teas as well as milk teas. I believe you can also get nondairy milk, and you can change the ratios of sugar and ice as well. The staff are also so friendly and quick to make your drink. I went here 4 times and 1/4 the boba was kind of hard (harder than it had been before & tasted kind of oversaturated idk). We've been coming to this location regularly since it opened. In the beginning the drinks were terrific, and the sweetness levels were pretty spot-on. We always order our drinks "less sweet" (25% to 50%, depending on the type of drink), but lately every time we get our drinks they're total sugar bombs! I feel like they write down our sweetness preference, but they don't follow through when making the actual drinks. Everything goes out the window at 120% sweetness level no matter what we ask for. Today's drinks were undrinkable. Sadly, we had to throw them out since they were way too sweet. I don't think we'll be coming back to this location anymore. Sad, since we really did enjoy it for a while. Hopefully the management fixes the issue. read more

tried a different location before & i really enjoyed it, so i wanted to try this location since i was in the area. i like tea be honest b/c of their big sized cups which i don't really see often at other boba shops. i got the honeydew milk tea & they layer it (the honeydew flavoring would be on the bottom, the milk is in the middle, & the black tea is on the top), so don't forget to stir it so the flavoring of the drink is even. plenty of parking in this area & i got my order pretty fast! read more

I love this place! The variety of drinks on the menu is amazing. And you can tailor them to your liking. Staff are friendly & helpful with all of my questions. And the unisex bathroom is very clean, as is the whole place. The only thing I don't like are the skinny cups - they aren't secure in the cup holder in your car. TBH Dirty Milk Tea is milk tea with brown sugar. Just in case you're wondering, like I was. We visited family and I was heavily craving Boba so we stopped by this place since it was on the way. It's a clean space, have fun ice blends creation and price point is fair. I ordered the dirty milk tea and it is pretty sweet. I love sweet stuff. I was even planning on asking to add more sugar when I ordered (but I forgot), but I'm glad I did because wow, this drink is sweet! I love it! I only mention that because if you're not a fan of sweets, you should probably request to have it less sugar. I will definitely come back here again if we ever visit Palm Springs again. read more

This is my favorite boba spot in the desert area! Lots of options to pick from on the menu. My go-to drink is their jasmine green tea with cheese foam topping (extra $0.70). Of note, the cheese foam is on the sweeter, rather than saltier, side. However, of the few times I went, they only give a minimal amount of the cheese foam, approximately 5% of the drink versus other boba shops that give 2-3x the amount. Most drinks are customizable in terms of sweetness level and amount of ice. Inside the shop, they have a variety of Asian snacks for purchase. Staff was friendly and helpful in explaining drink options. Parking is plentiful. As of the last time I went (April '21), there was no indoor seating, but there are a few tables outside. read more

One of my favorite boba places in the desert. Tea be honest does tea right that's not overly sweet because you can adjust the sugar levels on most of them. Additionally they have such aesthetically pleasing drinks that I don't even want to drink because it'll just become nothing. They also sell some snacks, the popcorn chicken is so good. It definitely reminds me of Tawainese popcorn chicken which fulfills my cravings whenever I get it. Their boba is perfectly nice, soft and chewy without being mushy. Their tea is very fragrant and you can taste it when ordering the fruit flavored tea which is nice because the fruit flavor isn't too overwhelming but is still delicious. They do get pretty busy but they make their drinks pretty fast. I will stop by many more times to come becsuse it's just that good! read more

I love boba and the boba here is BOMB. Some places the tapioca balls are incredibly to chewy and it just throws the whole thing off. They have two sizes regular and large. The aesthetically pleasing one is the large because it is LARGE. It's super narrow but makes for great photos and I wish I took a photo before I sipped it all down.
