Saw someone on Facebook sharing pics of Tea Daddy a week ago, so my wife wanted to give them a try. She has been super busy this week; she didn't want to be disappointed, so she called ahead of time asking all her questions before we actually went... Let's just say, their customer service is absolutely amazing! She asked about their Golden Milk-tea, what sort of tea leafs are in it, if their drinks are dairy free, what other milk-teas they have on the menu if she doesn't like the Golden, etc. Yeah, she is very particular about her drinks (LOL). But hey, the lady on the phone really was a pro. She didn't only answer all the questions, she even said they have samples of the Golden MT if we want to try first. That's when we know we have to go check them out. We ordered the Golden MT at 20% sweet with boba, Jasmine MT at 30% sweet, and an egg-tart. The milk-teas are great; a bit towards the sweeter side, so we will do even less sweetness next time. The boba texture is perfect! The egg-tart is not what we expected (minus one less star)... It is sweeter than other egg-tarts we have ever had, and the texture is off. No worries, it's all worth a try. Overall, we will definitely be back! Will try their other pastries next time and get more of that boba tea! read more

Everything we got was solid and their prices are *actually* reasonable! (Under $5) Our order was golden milk tea with brown sugar boba, cheesy hot dog, and chiffon cake. Dare I say that the cheese dog is even better than the Korean corn dog shops? Serious cheese pull and not greasy! Cake was light and delicious. Milk tea was creamy and flavorful. Wow! my new favorite boba spot! I could drink here every day and still love it. Peach orange lemongrass is amazing. Sweetness of peach and endings of tartness but the boba! Boba is always made perfect. They have brown sugar boba and honey boba and both are great in drinks. Gonna be back ASAP! read more

When I looked at the reviews I thought this place was very promising, but it was very disappointing with some things. For starters, I got a oolong milk tea with boba, but it was more like milk with boba. Although the boba had a good texture, the milk tea itself was lacking any tea flavor. Also, I asked a worker if I can add more tea to my drink, but they said it was pre-mixed. Yet I saw multiple drink being mixed with tea. It's almost like they ran out of tea and tried to make a drink anyways. But, one thing that was good was the coffee milk tea. It was not too sweet and a good flavor. It was almost perfect! And lastly, I want to talk about the taiyaki. It took a really long time to make the taiyaki and none before us ordered any. I don't know if they had a problem with the taiyaki maker, the taiyaki is smaller than other I had and a little soft. It could have been a bit crispier. To wrap it up, the place was good, but I believe they need to work on a few things. But, if you start to crave tea, you can go to this place, just remember to choose wisely. read more

New pearl in town. I ordered the Lotus Macchiato and absolutely love the drink. The tea reminds me of the old time when I sipped some of my grandfather's afternoon lotus tea. So glad that we have a change of flavor after all this time drinking jasmine and oolong tea. Their boba is super yummy, just the right amount of chewiness and sweetness. A roach crawled across the top of our table. We moved tables. A roach crawled up the wall near my head. We grabbed our bag to leave. Beside the bag? A third roach. Less or more important depending on who you are, this is not a safe place for anyone with food allergies. Staff didn't have adequate training to say if a drink had a top allergen, and could not even identify ingredients. My drink looked great, but I couldn't drink it because no one could tell me what the "non-dairy powder" actually was let alone if it contained wheat. (Richardson location). read more

I have been here twice already and the place has lots of potential. 1. Atmosphere - Nice and clean aesthetic. It doesn't look like the nicest on the outside because it's kind of in a random plaza. 2. Drinks - I've been here twice and ordered the same drinks: Golden milk tea, Milk coffee, and Winter Melon Tea. The golden milk tea with honey is good, but nothing special. It's a good balance of creamy and tea-y. The Milk coffee is a Vietnamese coffee and it's decent. The first time, it was pretty much all ice. The whole large cup was filled with ice and about 25% of the drink. So the 2nd time I was there, I ordered the milk coffee again and said light ice and the drink about 50% of the cup and finished it in like 2 mins. They're quite stingy when it comes to the drink and ice ratio. And the winter melon tea my grandma really liked. 3. Service - service is slow, but understandable cuz it's a new place. But needs a lot of improvement. I had ordered like 4 milk coffee drinks and 3 of them were made by the same person, and the other was made by a different person and it was clearly different from the other drinks. It also took a while for them to make about 6 drinks and it wasn't busy. 4. Food - I've only ordered their egg tart and they're really good. Disappointing. The egg tart was all scrambled eggs in the middle instead of custard :( and they cut the sausage on the corn dog (was, I kid you not, 1-2 inches of actual meat, the rest all cheese) to maybe make more corn dogs to cut cost? Price point was very affordable (but now I know why) and interior was clean and tidy. Staff was friendly but not very knowledgeable. It's a new business so maybe better luck next time. read more

I rarely write review on Yelp but I think I should let the owner know about their customer service. I've been supporting Tea Daddy since they opened, always get my Golden Milk Tea with milk foam so I should know how it looks to have the milk foam on top of my milk tea, plus I had worked at boba shop before as well. Today I came at 2:45 ( so the owner should know who were working), ordered 2 milk tea with milk foam, and they forgot to put milk foam in one of it, so I brought it in and told them so. The girl told me that she did, and I said I didn't see it. She took the drink and said "Bruhh" , then she opened it and said she did but because she shaken it up side down ( do you suppose to do this with my drink, i didn't ask for it, and even you did the foam would still show). I swear I have this problem almost all the times I been here, and they just put it on top for me, I never complain or say anything, but this time, when she gave me this attitude, I don't think I want to come again! read more

The 2 girls that where working at noon today where very racially discriminating towards me. I've been coming here for months and I noticed they added a new item called "fish balls" on their menu. I asked if it was Takoyaki! But she just said no and then turned away as I'm standing there trying to order? I said okay, what is it? And instead of her saying something like it's dough with fish or a piece of fish with- or something, to give me an idea so I can order it, she goes "I don't know how to describe it to you" and turns away again? I then ask if she could please try to give me an idea, but then her and the girl next to her look at each other, say something then laugh and the other girl tells me "I don't know how to describe it to you" too. I was like okay, can I order a cheesy dog then? (like always) and they go "we don't have any" and just stared at me. I am honestly super disappointed. I've never been treated so unwelcome at an establishment let alone have I heard of an employee not knowing what they are selling. I believe it's because I'm a brown woman that they didn't think I would order? But I was very exited to as this was my favorite bobba spot. I got the jasmine milk tea w/ brown sugar boba and the spicy popcorn chicken, both were outstanding, the drink tasted fresh and the boba was the right amount of sweet, the popcorn was piping hot and super tender and flavorful. Dipping sauce for the popcorn chicken was alright, I thought it tasted better on its own. Overall great experience coming here! read more
