You can't beat the ham and cheese w/cucumber sandwich on the best croissant, in town. You have to have the mamaki lemon ice tea...the best ice tea! It's locally grown on the islands and has great health benefits. They have great desserts, berry cream cake, Portuguese custard and berry crumble cake. I'm new to the area and checking out what's around and I couldn't be happier to have stumbled into this absolutely adorable cafe. I knew I walked into the right place when I saw bags from my favorite local coffee farmers being offered here (Shout out to Anita and Jim at Blue Corner Coffee) which they both sell and exclusively brew. I read some reviews before coming in and knew I would be trying the Portuguese Custard Tart and you Yelpers suggested well! I cut into it with a fork and the soft custard parted for the fork to meet a crisp pastry with the most satisfying crunch sound. Perfectly sweet, which isn't too sweet, and the crisp, flakey, buttery pastry shell create the perfect combination of flavors and textures in your mouth. A quick sip of coffee only enhanced this perfectly splendid bite. The coffee brought out the flavors of sweet cream and butter that complimented each other wonderfully! And if I wasn't already completely enamored with this little cafe, they sell Stollen w/ marzipan (German Christmas Fruit Cake) which is a beloved family Christmas treat that I've missed so much since my Aunt Heidi passed away. When I asked who makes it, I was delighted to find that the proprietor of the shop does and we share a first name! Hurray for Yvonne's! I will definitely be coming back to sample more of their menu and may have found my new favorite local cafe in the Kona area. read more

Stopped here for a quick early morning breakfast to go on our way out of Kona this morning. I got the chia coconut milk and fruit and it was divine! I also got the Chai coconut milk tea and my husband got the drip coffee,both were excellent.It's a quaint little tea shop the nicest woman at the counter helped me pick out some loose leaf tea (they have a lot to choose from including some grown and made locally in hawaii!) as a Christmas present for my mother in law. I am visiting Kona and I had to go back to this place instead of try a new Coffee shop. The atmosphere is vintage and cozy. The eggs have little hats on them and they have a gratitude journal where people leave little notes of what they are grateful for, and I really needed to read, made my day even brighter. For food and coffee I had the iced Kona coffee with coconut milk and second time the iced latte with coconut milk . They were both good, just like I make at home , and that's the quality I look for in coffee shops . I had the chia and oats bowl and it was so tasty. The pastry's look fabulously delicious. Was a little bit skeptical coming here to be honest. Small and cramped cafe, but it was a good choice to come here. I got a yogurt parfait with a little bit of agave and a macadamia nut iced coffee (with coffee ice cubes!) and almond milk. Both were really good! Community gem . Tiny cafe in the middle of residential area. Perfect for a break or brunch date with your girlfriends. Great selections of loose teas and they will be served in one of the kind tea cup. You may want to call first to make sure they are open because the hours and closed days were not accurate due to COVID. What an amazing find. This small, local coffee and tea shop has a beautiful, German inspired restaurant paired with the inherent charm and friendliness of the islands. The oats with chia and fresh fruit, topped with local honey, was delicious and the iced coffee was as refreshing as it was awakening. Came in a little after 7:30 on a Saturday and there were already 4 people in line ahead of me. Waited 15-20 minutes before I was able to order just because it seemed there were some bigger and more complicated orders that the staff was working on (not their fault as I could see how hard they were trying to keep things moving). I ordered an iced honey cinnamon latte to go and the swiss roll with berries and a Portuguese custard tart because it looked intriguing. The pastries were phenomenal and probably the only reason I would ever come back. The coffee had a bit too much honey so it was sweeter than I typically like it, but they did have good coffee to ice ratio which I always like to take into account :) The service was very friendly, but a huge crowd came in about ten minutes after me so the place was jam packed when I left. Would definitely have liked to sit and enjoy my coffee as the place was cozy and quaint but not with the hustle and bustle of everyone coming and going. If I went again, I would come closer to their opening at 6am to avoid the crowds. read more

A small, intimate space--there are a half-dozen tables, counting the one just outside the door! The food there is excellent--I find I am addicted to the apple and brie sandwich! Other highlights for me include the pasta salad and the fresh pastries. Top it off with a latte or an iced coffee and you have a wonderful brunch or lunch! The staff is friendly and courteous. Very nice little place. It's away from the strip so it's not over crowded like many other places are. It's still within walking distance from the strip. The service was very good. They brought our food and drinks out promptly and everything was made fresh. The coffee was good, maybe a little watery but not enough to complain about. The food was very tasty, but I could have eaten more. The atmosphere is very unique. It's quiet and comfortable and very pleasing to the eye. I would recommend this place to someone looking for a relaxing cafe near the ali'i strip. read more

They had about tables to sit at inside which made it very intimate. We ordered a Portuguese custard tart which tasted great. Custard was at a perfect sweetness with a caramelized outter crust. We went in for Chai, my daughter got the traditional iced chai and it was very good, however I was very disappointed with the coconut chai, don't waste you time on that.
