    Popcorn chicken

Walking in the place has a beautiful interior with soft music playing. The popcorn chicken was tasty as well as the mozzarella corn dog. Our drinks were refreshing. The only downside and a complete disservice to the establishment was the lack of customer service. We walked into the empty building and received no greeting from any staff. Even upon approaching the cashier the young man said nothing to us. He literally just looked around. I had to ask him "if he was ready for us". That is the only time he responded. Not even a thank you when our items were ready. Customer service = 0 stars

The inside decor of Tea Plus looked really nice and aesthetic! I felt like I was in a futuristic setting than an actual boba shop. Service was friendly and quick with the orders. I got their Roasted Brown Sugar Boba Milk ($5.25), Popcorn Chicken ($6.50), and Takoyaki ($6.50). Honestly, the brown sugar drink tasted a bit watered down as I felt like it didn't have enough of the brown sugar taste to it. However, the popcorn chicken tasted amazing! It had the perfect crunch to it and a zest of lemon pepper to add good flavoring to it. The takoyaki was good too, but I felt it was a bit mushy not enough squid on the inside. Overall, my experience here was good, but the popcorn chicken had to be my favorite out of everything I ordered.

Ten, ten, ten across the board!!!!!!!…read more So I was passing through Slidell and asked a friend if he knew a good coffee spot that wasn't [insert coffee shop, you know the one]. And in that moment I was reminded why I rarely ask for recommendations because my taste runs a little too refined for most. Nevertheless I turned to Maps and typed in "coffee," and the first option was an immediate no. But the second one, the name alone, told me everything I needed to know. The only problem, it was the opposite direction I was headed and I was already running late. But I couldn't ignore that instinct. I had to see for myself. "Sorry boss, can't come in today. I was on my way to work and then a gentle fall breeze blew me in the direction of my destiny and reminded me it is a serious thing just to be alive on this fresh morning in this broken world!" Anywho, I'm so happy I stopped. The moment I walked in it felt like home, not in the corny sitcom way, but in that deeper unexpected kind of way. Like walking into a crowded room full of strangers and then seeing your homegirl that instantly makes you feel like yourself again and suddenly the day is yours. Mind you I hadn't even ordered at this point, but that's how good just walking inside made me feel. i felt like a mom that has been saying "you not getting that" all year then christmas day be grinning when baby open that present they been wanting!! Then there's the coffee, I'm still sipping my Beehive Latte now and it's fabulous. And I don't say fabulous often. I was going to go with a vanilla latte but since I sort of felt like I was in Adam and Eve's garden I wanted to try something new. The owner recommended the Crème Brûlée Latte but his wife overheard me going back and forth in my head (out loud) and suggested the Beehive since I like my coffee sweet but not overwhelming. This latte is perfect, pure perfection. I grabbed a chocolate croissant too because they looked delicious and they absolutely delivered. Flaky, golden and brown and no I'm not describing myself. The pastries all looked heavenly. Everything was perfect. Sure, I'm having an exceptionally good day already, maybe because of the weather, maybe because it's Friday, or maybe because I'm an attractive single 6'3 male and ready for eligible suitors. Either way, the service, their smiles, the coffee, the plants, everything was otherworldly. I'd go out of my way to come back. Wanna come with?

I have been to Roots Plants Coffee twice since moving to Slidell area. It's not an understatement…read morewhen I say this is literally the best coffee ever. The lattes are on point. So yummy and so sweet. The environment is cozy. Plants everywhere. Nature makes a space a positive element. I go here to relax when I need a pick me up or simply am craving a sweet caffeinated beverage. My only thing is the prices. They are a bit high, which is why I'm rating 4 stars, BUT totally worth the price for the amount of options you get to choose from and the quality of the coffee. :)

I buy extra when I can because of the minus side... It is almost impossible to get in here! I don't mind queuing up to wait at a restaurant, but every time I try to go they are lined up out the door. I have tried to go at off-times and it's still busy. Being so busy, the experience at the counter always feels rushed and there is nowhere to sit, so I never stick around once I have my bagels. I realize it's a good problem for a restaurant to have, but it still makes me want to go elsewhere. Most times I do. The bagels are a definite 5+ stars. The overall experience is 2 stars at best. Splitting the difference and giving them 3. I keep going back (well, trying to, at least) because the bagels are that good. Your results may vary. If you figure out a decent time to go in, give me a holler and let me know. I'll buy you a bagel!

The fresh bagels are delicious as are the house made cream cheeses. I got a half dozen to take home with everything and oat being faves but the cherry almond and pumpernickel didn't disappoint either. They have a nice serve yourself coffee bar offering all Abita Roasting coffee in all varieties. Creole Bagelry and Cafe also offers a huge selection of bennys, omelettes, Belgian Waffles and breakfast sandwiches , lunch sandwiches, salads and lunch platters. Don't skip the frozen coffees and teas !

They were all hustling. Nobody was standing around. Consequently the line moved quickly and I got my tea faster than I expected. That's a plus, I suppose. They earned their gratuity. I don't know if they are redecorating or not, but the decor is very stark and the atmosphere is not inviting. No artworks on the walls, paint color is neutral and boring, no music playing. Hard surfaces and high ceiling makes it echo-y and the constant noise from the drive-thru adds to the din. Simply not a place I want to stay and hang around. This location does a TON of drive-thru business so maybe that's the idea - play to your audience. There is free wi-fi and hard tables and chairs to sit, but no stuffed couches or anything cushy. The parking lot at this location is poorly designed, so when the drive-thru line gets long it blocks all the parking spaces in front of the door, including the handicapped spaces. The alternative is to park on the drive-thru side of the building, but then you have to cut between the cars waiting in line and walk around the building. Not user-friendly in the best of circumstances, and if it's raining I'll go elsewhere. It's the closest one to my house and it's not ALWAYS lined up around the building so I keep going back. I love Starbucks' hot tea.
