I am writing this update to let interested Yelpers know how my membership program worked out so far. Their membership does not require you to visit monthly but I been doing it every month for about half a year now. Nadia really knew the areas to focus on (such as my feet and shoulders) from my requests of earlier visits. This made each visit better, allowing me to relax and enjoy the massages. Whenever I requested more or less pressure, she quickly compiled and always remembered for my following visits. The facial I received was wonderful. The room was relaxing and she was not rushing. She provided great insight to my skin and how to nourish it properly. The recommended Seaweed mask felt amazing and really reduced the redness of my skin. She was very knowledgeable, personable, professional and friendly. I am giving 5 stars to Maryam for an awesome facial! And eyebrow wax. Her precise attention to detail was great. The receptionist was not communicative about the wait. But, Maryam made up for the wait. I would highly recommend her to anyone. I haven't had a facial in awhile and was definitely pleased. No groupon, have been coming here for 4 years now. Excellent massage from James!! Last week I scheduled a last minute deep tissue massage. James was awesome, very courteous, professional and did a fantastic job. He checked in several times ensuring the pressure was adequate. Prior to beginning the massage, I mentioned certain areas that were more painful and bothersome, and he spent extra time working out these tension points. Massage was a combination of light strokes, deep tissue and focused acupressure. Overall, again another great experience at Tea Spa and will likely return only to James for future massages. A truly therapeutic experience which provided relief that carried me through the rest of the week. read more

They asked if we wanted to do our massage together or separate as my husband had a two hour massage while I had a facial and one hour massage. The couples massage was good. The facial was fine. I still had white stuff still in my hair. They use to offer nail service, which is no longer there. They moved to a new location and didn't let customers know about it. They offer water or hot tea when you finish the service. The front desk person tries to sell every customer to buy the member package. It is a good local spa. read more

I am at a loss on how to start this review. The young lady at the desk is probably the only reason I even gave it 1 star. She was so polite, pleasant and was welcoming. Now, onto the place and services. My daughter and I booked mother-daughter package 10 days in advance. After it was all arranged we got a phone call 2 days before telling us they couldn't accommodate the 2 of us together. Ok. It is what it is. Too late for us to make other arrangements since she took a day off work. We get there 15 minutes early, we fill out the paperwork. She goes back 1st for her facial and I wait for 20 minutes out in the lobby for my massage. The massage was average. Didn't get to the front of my legs or arms. Then onto my facial. The lady wore gloves and was really rough in using the products. At one point she said the moisturizer had to sit for 20 minutes then walked out. No hand or foot treatment. Just there, 20 minutes. As the lady came back she wore the same gloves coming in and out. Didn't wash her hands. Not cool. The place itself was not relaxing. Just out in the open. No privacy. I used a groupon to get a pedicure here. It was good/fine. The nail tech was chatty and sweet. The atmosphere was standard and they let me pick the scent of my foot scrub. The technician scrubbed my feet so hard it hurt - but I never told her it was too much, so I really can't blame her for that part of the experience. read more

I bought a groupon for a pedicure and I had a great experience. My pedicure was done really well and the polish stayed great for over a month. It is a small place but they are very friendly and they do a great job. I liked it so much I booked another pedicure with out the groupon. The second experience was just as good. I think this is supposed to be what the groupon is for, to treat clients well so they will come back. This place actually gets that. They also take Spa Finder Gift certificates which you can get at Safeway and get gas rewards points for. read more

This is by far one of the best Spa's I've ever been to...The staff from the receptionist to the masseuse were wonderful and attentive..environment is relaxing and warm. Couldn't of choosen a better place. My girlfriend and I got a couples massage and it was amazing!! The only negative was the room we were in had no ventilation so my nose got stuffy while getting the massage, nothing a small humidifier can't solve. Aside from that, it was great! My husband purchased a massage for me to use for Christmas from here. With the busy life of the military and 5 children I just now got to redeem it Saturday, March 03rd with Dorianne. I was excited for a little time away to relax and get a massage. Well, neither really happened. Like 2/3 of my massage I was covered with my blanket and she was just grabbing me and shaking me.. legit like just shaking. When I was laying face up and she was doing it I was having to hold my chest so they weren't shaking all over the place. I was shaking all over the bed which isn't relaxing at all. She also had long hair that was down so it kept dragging all over me.. I asked for firm pressure and she wasn't firm at all.. the very little time she did "massage" it was with her elbow. She felt a knot in my back so she moved below it and wouldn't touch it again. She uncovered my butt multiple times, touched all up between my legs when trying to tuck the blanket between them when she rubbed my leg, tried to massage my butt (which I've never had a masseuse massage that area before), when she asked me to turn over from stomach to back she was at my head and held the blanket up really high so she had a full show of me flipping over while trying to hide my chest, she pressed really hard on the top of my head and wiggled her thumbs where it just hurt, put a hot towel on my face and just squeezed my cheeks together. Then while trying to rub my leg she held it straight up in the air as much as she could which wasn't comfortable in any way.. Most of her "massaging" felt like you are just rubbing lotion onto you type thing. She then also barely used any massage oil on me even for the very short time I was uncovered. With my massages I'm usually relaxed and not quite ready for them to end.. but the entire time of this one I was wondering how it was relaxing, didn't feel good, and just wondering when it would be over. So by the end of my so called massage I got dressed and ran out of there as fast as I could. Not only did I not feel relaxed in the slightest I also felt somewhat violated. It was very disappointing as I don't get to get away just me much and taking my time away for this was a let down. I was so excited to try this place after finding a Groupon and reading the reviews, yet I was not satisfied with my massage at all. But I must say the front desk lady was very nice, and I liked that the atmosphere was pretty relaxing despite the busy area. My massage therapist seemed like she was only gliding oil on my back rather than rubbing with intention/skill or pinpointing any troubled areas despite my instructions. I don't think I'll be back... especially at full price! It may be better if you pay the extra $25 for the deep tissue to get any kind of pressure. read more

I had to give this place 1 star, doesn't give you a choice or it would have been given a 0. Yelp seemed to have deleted my review of yesterday. I just want people to know the truth. The place is poorly managed and seemed to blame the receptionist who was the only good thing about the place and I could say the same for the MT even though she only gave me 50 min. instead of 60. The owner commented yesterday that this is the rule of thumb in the area and even if that was the case the other establishments will tell you this upfront. I have never had this problem before. Anyway, my first problem with them is they overbooked me on a day of a big party and called and said they needed to reschedule...Ok, no problem. I rescheduled for the following week and they called me that day and asked if I could come an hour earlier, again, no problem...then they called me back and said the MT called in sick, again, I rescheduled. On the comment left by the owner yesterday, before the Yelp deletion she said that Heather's child was sick so she called in...who was Heather, my appt. was with Nadia. If I hadn't bought my Groupon I would have just cancelled this and that would have been the end of it., and by the way it was not Groupon's fault as I have never had a problem with their service. Called to book an appointment as there is no way to book it online and no way to get a confirmation number. Could only get in 2 weeks after the call. They took my groupon number on the phone and gave me time to come. There is no place to park at this place. It's a town center style location, so be ready to walk. When I finally showed up they didn't have me in the system at all. That was frustrating as I waited 2 weeks and drove 30 min to meet this appointment. The girl at front desk barely spoke English and the place was empty. The girl said they were completely booked for the day and offered me to come back in a week. Right. About half a year ago I had brought my boyfriend here for a couple's massage. We had a great experience. My boyfriend saw a groupon available for a couple's massage for this place so he got it for me since I liked it here so much. Today, I just called to make an appointment for another massage at this establishment and had the worst experience. The front desk girl who I spoke with had put me on hold twice for a very long duration of time, gave me very bad attitude throughout our conversation (it sounded like she was never taught any manners or how to speak with customers), told me that I cannot use my groupon since I used one upon my first time here (even though this is my boyfriend's groupon that he bought FOR me, not MINE). So I asked her what I should do, he already paid for it, she just tells me, "oh well just return it," and to top it off she proceeds to hanging up on me. Very rude ! I work at a salon as well, along with other jobs where we have to treat our clientel with our best so that they will return, I guess this is one business in which they do not care about returning and happy clients. I bought a livingsocial deal at Tea Spa and used it for a hour long massage. I scheduled for a Wednesday but was called and it was cancelled due to the therapist not able to come in. Was rescheduled for a Friday. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the receptionist. The ambiance was pretty nice and the music was soothing. There was a pleasant smell in the air. The therapist, Nadia, introduced herself and brought me to the therapy room. It was very clean, smelled nice and warm. Lights were also dim which was relaxing. (Last place I went for a massage had a bright light directly above my face.) Anyways, Nadia is a very professional and talented therapist. Right off the bat, she hit all the right spots. I have gotten quite a few massages in the past and other than the one at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai, this was by far the best massage I've received. I was so relaxed and pleased with the massage that I signed up for their membership for $49. Glad to have found this place. read more

This review is for body polish. I got used to them while living in Asia for a few years where they are considered as a middle class staple rather than the upper class indulgence as it is often viewed in the West. Back in the States I experienced the sticker shock. I knew it would cost more, but somehow did not think it would be THAT much more. However, with many spas running virtually constant promotions, discounts and coupons, it is always possible to find a reasonable deal in around 65 to 75 dol. Cathy offered me a one day pass which allowed me to take advantage of membership discounts, so I got the body polish for $69. In Asia I discovered that the cheaper versions of polish do as much a great of exfoliation job (or better) as the fancy variations with seaweed, chocolate, clay, etc. Nadia used cucumber salt scrub and a brush, simple and effective. Half hour later after I took the shower my skin was baby soft, fresh and glowing. I felt 10 years younger, lol. A combination massage after the polish felt especially good. I told Nadia I get cold during massage and she put me on the heated table with warm sheets, it felt great. Cons: I asked Nadia to skip my neck and face which she did. I expected though that she would use the saved time to concentrate on areas of tension. However she did not spend extra time on the problem areas, so in reality I got a shorter massage. The polish room was cold - no heater. When I stopped by to pay for my treatments 2 days in advance, I was put off by the dirty rug at the door. I thought if they don't clean the rug, do they clean their towels and sheets? (2 days later I discovered they do). I did not like also the sight of pedicure chairs in the lobby. The small waiting area carved out of the lobby has a see-through screen that hides nothing. I know rent is high in the U.S. and small businesses want to squeeze everything out of their commercial space. But not everyone wants to look at a fat woman doing pedi to an old woman while waiting for massage or body polish. In Latin America and Asia they hire only fit people to work in spas, this is not discrimination, this is business savvy. Clients come to spas to de-stress and relax, they are paying for positive emotions just as much as for treatments. If customers see unfit staff around, they may think, would this spa really do the trick for me? Should I give them my hard-earned money? A few little things could go a long way. Get the carpet cleaned daily, get a dark glass divider for the waiting area and position sitting in a way that does not face the pedi chairs, put a small 20-dollar heater w fan in the polish room, keep it on lowest setting and plug it in if the customer asks. And if you skip certain areas at the request of your client, still give the full massage time paid for. This certainly makes a difference for the repeat business. As I said at the start this review is for body polish, so I give 4 stars. But the spa has significant room for improvement... read more

It was pretty disappointing. I got a Groupon for the Paradise pedicure for a great deal. But I might as well have spent a little extra somewhere else. They called me 5 min before my appointment time (I had just parked my car) to inform me that I would have to wait about 10 minutes since the previous appointments were running a little behind. I don't really mind waiting, but when I got inside I noticed that they only had two pedicure chairs - both were occupied by previous customers and the only employee (other than the receptionist) working was with another client. After waiting 10-15min, the previous customers finally left and I was able to sit down and start my appointment. Since the estimated time for the pedicure was 45 min, I expected a little bit of massage to be included. She ended up spending majority of the time on my cuticles (slowly at that) and the massage was barely there - it was like a basic pedic. I was really looking forward to it, so I was disappointed to say the least. Probably won't go back. read more

I like to go to spa because it is a form of relaxation. My experience with this spa was the worst I have experience. The quality and the whole process felt un-professional. My face didn't feel like I came out of a facial. The glow you experience when you get a facial wasn't there and the fact that the payment invoice had a line for tip was distaful. I'm use to paying for the service and if you want to give a tip they provide a separate envelop at your request. The person couldn't explain the process...I could go on and on but I do not recommend this spa. read more

My boyfriend surprised me with this groupon deal, a 30 min massage and 30 mins in a sauna. After filling out some paperwork, they took me right back. I received a massage from Mimi (I think), and she was amazing. She asked me what areas I would like her to work on and she worked on those areas. She made sure that the pressure was just enough, I felt so relaxed that I almost fell asleep. She did the full 30 minutes as well! Afterwards, I changed into the robe and slippers that were provided for the sauna. I'm not much of a sauna person, I could only stay in there for 20 minutes. I would definitely recommend a 45 min massage and 15 mins in the sauna, if they were to do another groupon/livingsocial. However, the reason why I am only giving them 4 stars is because of the people at the front desk. They seemed kind of disorganized, when I came out from the sauna and went to the front desk there wasn't any direction. I think it could have been a smoother transition.
