The employees were friendly and fast! They boxed up my cakes before I was even done paying. If you like cheesecake, this is your place! I'll admit I'm not a huge cheesecake person so I opted for the strawberry tart and matcha tiramisu to share with my husband. I also got a citron cookie but I didn't love it. My husband really enjoyed it though! Every single piece is beautiful and fully loaded with tasty toppings. I will say the pieces are generous for the price at just under $10 a slice. They are BIG. The strawberry's and cream were delicious. Strawberries were super fresh and still crunchy. I really enjoyed the matcha tiramisu as it was really flavorful and not too sweet. Their cream is really good. Very light and creamy. I can't wait to return and try either the black sesame or melon tart.

We paired that with their blueberry lemon cake and I believe they procured that item from Pinch of Salt. I haven't had the opportunity to review Pinch of Salt yet, but their lemon blueberry cake was an immediate hit for me. They nailed the lemon zest in the icing, cake is best served warm, and the blueberries bring extra sweetness against the tartness of the lemon. We haven't had as much luck on the matcha here. We tried a few, but haven't fallen in love yet. The staff is very kind and the drinks are creative so I'll keep trying to find my perfect drink and snagging a pastry while we search!

Luckily, there's plenty of parking in the attached garage and a good number of tables and chairs inside the store. However, most people come with a group of 4-5 people since it costs $15 for the first person as a base, and then only $5 more per person, with a max of 5 people per group. We were lucky enough to snag a table, and we got to enjoy their various classic games, including Jenga, Uno, and even Monopoly! They also have some stands that sell various crocheted plushies, stickers, and cool keychains. In regard to the Boba, there is a good amount of tea bases that you can choose from, and so many flavor choices as well. It's awesome that they let you customize your sweetness level, and you can add on toppings such as boba, lychee jelly, or coconut jelly for no additional charge. My friends and I each had about 3-4 Boba drinks, but the best one we had was definitely the Thai tea with brown sugar and boba at a 50% level of sweetness. It was refreshing, and you could actually taste the tea flavor. The boba was soft and chewy. Hopefully, they add some popping boba in the future. We will for sure come back to Miao as it's a great place to catch up with friends and enjoy some classic board games!
