Cute little hole in the wall in Des Moines. The outside is deceiving... the inside is clean, modern and fresh. Service was A+, I ordered a Thai ice tea and a pork bahn mi togo. Their commitment to making their drinks with fresh brewed tea, cane sugar, and only fresh ingredients is unique and different even in comparison to some of the more popular spots found in the city. While I'm not going to go out of my way to come here for a drink. I work very nearby and will be keeping this place in mind when I need a quick boba fix. On another note I also had the chance to try their combo Banh mi and tofu spring rolls. The bread had a crunchy but still fluffy and soft on the inside! 4.5 stars but what the hay..I'll round it up to 5 stars. I love checking out new boba locations opening up in the southend of Seattle. Especially with their buy one get one free (milk tea or fruit tea), I had to take advantage of the deal! (I'm a fatty like that) Easy to find, in an ampule strip area with other businesses. Got the teacup milk tea which contains 3 toppings - egg pudding, boba and crystal boba.. ALL my faves already! Also got the passion fruit lemon green tea with crystal boba. Both were pretty good, not too sweet but had enough flavor. Only con was the boba was a bit too hard? Maybe it's not cooked enough.. idk. I'm not sure if you can customize the sweetness because there are no signs but I think you can ask. .5 star taken off because of the boba & the fact that I stood there like an idiot for about 5 minutes. She took the order of the lady in front of me and then proceeded to help with the rest of the drinks. The drinks we got were (L) creamy dreamy matcha w/ grass jelly 100% (m) honey bee (r) teacup milk tea 100% with boba -crystal boba, boba, pudding 75% sweet. The dreamy matcha was a bit thick to my liking and the matcha was very gritty. So make sure to mix it well. My sister had the honey bee and she said it's pretty good. I got the teacup milk tea and 75% sweet was still too sweet for me. I recommended 50%. This is the place to enjoy a good bubble tea with some banh mi. Beside the usual suspects, there's a mean green avocado banh mi. It's both fresh and refreshing with a touch of sweet mayo. The sweet mayo doesn't work too well with the other sandwiches, though, especially the ones with pâté. I'm used to the traditional savory, buttery mayo to go with the meats. Great family owned store that serves the best Banh Mi sammies. We also got Vietnamese iced coffee and a blueberry smoothie for our daughter. I decided to pay this place a visit after reading all their positive reviews. I was not disappointed as this place offers some of the best milk tea I have ever had. I tried their seasonal matcha milk tea hot and their classic "teacup" milk tea cold. Both were exquisitely made from real tea and bursting with rich flavor. This place offers options of sweetness on a scale of %25, %50, %75, and %100. I ordered %75 and found it to be plenty sweet, on par with %100 sweetness of most other places. Additionally, this place receives 5 stars for their customer services. I felt that the owner here is genuinely trying to improve the quality of their tea, as evidenced by the owner's soliciting of feedback from me after making my drink. In the "teacup" milk tea, crystal boba is added instead of the traditional black bobas (as written on their menu). I did not know that was different from the black boba so I asked the owner if I received the correct drink. She took the time to explain to me about the crystal boba in addition to offering me another drink with black boba to try, on the house. That is customer service at its absolute best. Super good black milk tea and delicious boba that's sweet, soft and plentiful in the drink. The avocado matcha smoothie was also really delicious and filled me up for hours. The egg rolls were good but were reheated so they had the kind of chewy texture to the wrapper that wasn't my favorite , but the flavor was really delicious and went well with the sweet and sour sauce provided (extra points for being my fave sweet and sour sauce too, so good). The employee was so kind and told me about their popular drinks, offered me a punch card while she worked on my order.
