    Making the tea
    Lori Z.

This tiny shop in Chinatown is popular and draws a line. When we showed up, there weren't many waiting but it took maybe 20 minutes to get inside because only 1 order is taken at a time, and it's made to order by one person. We ordered Onigiri and several types of tea. All were great quality and carefully crafted. I assume it's the owner making the tea, and he heard me tell my daughter that the tea was a bit more sweet than expected so he insisted on changing it and it was perfect. The number of options seems endless. There are so many varieties and combinations! I don't know if I'd wait an hour, but 20 minutes was worth the time. The quality is high, the care is above all expectation, the taste is excellent, and the experience is unique. Enjoy!

Let it be known that this is THE premier bubble tea shop. Let's be honest: bubble tea is generally good. This place separates itself. This is made-to-order, exactly how you want it, making every order tailored to the customer's taste. No other bubble tea shop (that I know of) does that. There was a wait out the door. Reason being, the inside is tiny. He takes in one group at a time and makes your order. Then moves on to another group after you leave. The inside is cool with a lot of plants. I keep thinking about this place every time I have bubble tea. Don't change a thing!

Came on a Tuesday shortly before 11:30 AM, which was perfect because they were just opening up. There was only one person in front of me, so I was able to get my tea within 20 mins. They serve one customer at a time which is why the line can get long! Iced passionfruit ice slush with jasmine green tea was phenomenal. The prices are also really good. Will definitely be back.

This is one of the best bubble tea spots in NYC!! They always give you a sample of your drink before serving, so you can have a say if you want to alter the drink. My favorite drink here is the Thai Milk Tea, add clouddo, 100% sweetness. I ask for 100% because less sugar at bubble tea places gives less flavor. This place is not an exception to this sugar rule. Maybe the sugar is in the drink formula itself? Anyway, you cannot go wrong with their Thai Milk Tea, it does not taste like what most places offer. You can really taste the flavors and it's not crazy sweet at all like most of the Thai milk tea places in NYC. I also tried one of their fruit tea drinks with lychee jelly and it was really good as well. The lines at this spot do get long, but the line moves very fast. This is not a sit-down place because it is very small inside. It's almost like a hole in the wall place, but it is pretty and decorated.

Looked up the best boba shop in Chinatown and this came up! So glad we stopped in! It's a tiny little spot with a line out the door but so worth the wait. The latte was the best I had all weekend in NYC! They offered samples of the drinks before we received them to make sure we liked them as well which is above and beyond service in my opinion. Great little spot in Chinatown!

Stopped here just before hopping on my plane back to California and I'm so glad I stumbled in this cute and homey tea shop! It's so welcoming and when I ordered my drink, the owner made me a tiny sample first to see if I liked it, if I wanted to change the sweetness or drink. Definitely will come back here when I visit New York again, thank you! They serve one at a time so please be patient when you come here!

Stopped in on a hot morning for something refreshing but not too sweet and the herbal jelly drink hit the spot! Such a cute shop that's a one-man show. Lots of great options and a wide variety of teas. Boba was not available until 11:30 am so keep that in mind.

Super small, one-man shop. Wait can take awhile especially if there's a line, but the owner makes sure you enjoy your drink. Lots of options and drinks are delicious!

Got the taro milk tea with egg pudding and boba. This tea was something special like completely different from any taro milk tea ive ever had but in the best way possible like this tea caressed my taste buds so sensually that I had no control over vacuuming it all down. Boba was soft and the pudding couldve been a bit creamier but was still really nice.

Wow. The person who served us was working solo and he carefully created our tea drinks with a true desire to create a masterpiece. He made us samples of our teas that we ordered and asked us to sample them before he made the whole drink to ensure the combination of tea ingredients and sugar was exactly to our liking. He shared that he has had over 25 years of making tea. While the area serving customers inside is small and only fits a few people in order to place your order, it was super cute inside with lots of decorations and plants. And we weren't in need of a place to stay and enjoy our drinks. We all loved our teas. Multiple people in my group said that this was the best tea they have ever had. We will definitely be coming back. I ordered the #5 peach and lychee ice tea. My friend ordered hot peach tea. Another ordered iced earl gray milk tea. And another had matcha cloud tea. We loved loved loved our drinks. We couldn't stop talking about them the rest of the day.

Small tea shop with a cute interior. Only one party allowed inside at a time. Was suggested to try the Hojicha, which was solid, though I didn't love the texture of the boba. Given the wait, I probably wouldn't stop by again, but that's likely because I got a basic drink. There are much more interesting fruit teas here that I think would be worth the wait and journey.

This was a really hole in the wall type of bubble tea shop. The owner only allows one guest/party inside at a time which makes it feel like you're getting a 1:1 tea making experience. The owner works alone making all the drinks so there was quite a wait. I liked how calm and serene the interior décor is with plants in sake bottles, artwork on the walls and a small fish tank on the counter. It felt like I stepped into a quiet oasis in the middle of our busy city. I went with Wind's special with a passionfruit base and aloe vera topping. It was nice to sample the drink before it's sealed (feels a bit wasteful though to throw away that many one-time use mini cups). It was a good drink and very refreshing on a hot summer day. Just the right amount of sweetness but not too sweet! It's a solid fruit tea. The aloe vera must be cut fresh or something because it was too chunky to fit through the bubble tea straw so I ended up having to use a spoon to scoop it out.

The Jeju Green Tangerine Matcha honestly just tastes like a tangerine selter drink but in the best way, because I don't typically enjoy seltzer or carbonated beverages. I really enjoy the flavor and the carbonation isn't too strong, probably because I brought it home to drink. I don't really taste the matcha but I would definitely still order this again. 2. Matcha Einspanner. This is my first time having an Einspanner so I have no idea what I was expecting but this is DELICIOUS. It's so silky and smooth and the TASTE is just right up my alley. The matcha is light but you can still taste it. Absolutely, would drink this all the time if I could. 3. Purple Sweet Potato Latte. This. This. Omg, why haven't I tried this sooner?! The first sip and initial taste, I almost tasted nothing, just milk. And then all of a sudden, there's an explosion of flavor in your mouth. As a sweet potato lover, I was in heaven. I have absolutely no words for this drink, just try it. 100/10 recommend. This is probably my favorite one out of the 3 that I bought. I went around ... 2:45PM on a Friday and most of the seats were taken, if I remember correctly. There were a decent amount of seats and the space was decent. I liked the minimal aesthetic they had for the design of the interior. Not to forget, the staff at the register was absolutely wonderful, she answered all my questions, she's so sweet. I think I'm disappointed that I haven't tried this place sooner. Y'all get out of your comfort zone and try the Purple Sweet Potato Latte !! Or if not, just try this place out. I will definitely be recommending the Purple Sweet Potato Latte to all my family and friends.

While it was a fun and unique drink, I probably should have opted for something else. The topping was literally like actual tiramisu rather than just tiramisu flavoring, and it felt like there was more ice and tiramisu than latte. Personally, I would have preferred more of the tiramisu flavor without the full tiramisu texture mixed into the drink. That said, it was an interesting concept and I'm glad I tried it. I'd definitely be open to coming back and trying another latte on a future visit.

I probably never leave reviews in general, especially negative ones, but this experience was so…read moreegregious that I honestly felt like I had to say something. I've worked in restaurants and bars long enough to understand that staff drinking happens, but this was on another level entirely. I came in with a group of friends and one of the bartenders, Will, was so visibly drunk that it made the entire experience uncomfortable. Slurred speech, wobbling behind the bar, taking orders while chewing food with his mouth open -- it was honestly embarrassing to watch. He looked like he absolutely did not want to be there. At one point, my group had been trying to get his attention for another round for quite a while while he stood around talking with coworkers. We then watched staff take a shot together, and when he finally came over he burped mid-conversation and literally had whatever he had just been drinking dribbling down his neckbeard. That was the moment where the whole thing went from unprofessional to just gross. What made it worse was that it didn't seem isolated to one employee. Throughout the night we watched staff openly taking shots and drinking behind the bar like it was a house party instead of a business. There's a difference between bar culture and complete lack of professionalism, and this crossed that line hard. One of the friends I was with actually frequents the DUMBO location and said that the last time she was there, the same bartender also seemed intoxicated, which makes this feel less like a bad night and more like an ongoing issue. The DUMBO location itself is in an amazing spot, which makes it even more disappointing. But ownership seriously needs to get control of what's going on there before someone gets hurt or the place develops a reputation for having drunk staff on the clock. Unfortunately, the experience was uncomfortable enough that my girlfriends and I won't be coming back. I genuinely hope the employee mentioned gets help if this is a regular thing, because nobody should be working service in that condition.
