My bubble tea addiction continued to be satisfied at Xing Fu Tang in East Village, Manhattan, NYC. I am enamored with this locale for its kinetic energy nightlife including old-school bars, music venues, and performance spaces. Peach Oolong tea, $7.50 Xing Fu Tang carries my favorite default grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 choice topping, it dispelled a lot of my wary, anxieties enabling an evening's calm phlegmatic disposition. The grass jelly was average and disappointedly paucity for quantity. Former NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg would be proud of my sugar intake level. I highly despise extreme sweet drinks for the high sugar content volume and agree with former NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg's limiting sugar level initiatives consumption of sugary drinks. Yes, I control my sugar intake level. However, I requested 30% sugar but the cashier associate disregard my request and inputted in my order as "less sugar." I also requested ice which there were none imbedded. Large size is the sole size available without the choice of small or medium, which is deliberately intentional. Ergo, three stars as my drink order was egregious inaccurate. I took three (3) fortunes which two topics pertain to love and one is inner beauty. It is very easy to obtain by pulling one red wooden stick which contains a number then locate the drawer to match the number on the wall and pull out the fortune. No one blockage me to obtain these three fortunes. Nota Bene: The fortunes are written in both Chinese (simplified) and English. These Chinese fortune sticks (kau chim 求籤) are inspired from flat wooden sticks inscribed with text or numerals in a Buddhist temple. It evoke wholesome memories of my beloved family member who treks annually to a Buddhist temple obtaining annual fortunes for our entire family prior to Lunar New Year. This bubble tea business location is medium size with minimal eating. Drink orders are ready for pick-up with a coaster pager vibrating or lighted similar to chain restaurants Olive Garden, Cheesecake Factory, and Houston's to signal a table is ready. Napkins are readily available for grabs. This bubble tea business is located at 133 Second Avenue, East Village, Manhattan, NYC in the Washington Square Park locale. It is accessible via MTA NYC Transit 4 local train at Astor Place station, R local train at Eighth Street-New York University station and A, C, E trains at West 4th Street station. My proclivity for bubble tea grows.

5/5 Brown Sugar Boba Soft Serve ($8.7) - boba had great brown sugar flavor, really loved the tea flavor and silky texture of the soft serve! 4.2/5 Brown Sugar Boba Milk ($8.1) We came late at night, service was quick, and we appreciated there were some tables and standing room inside the shop.

Probably the best boba (the topping itself) I've had at a boba shop. I got their oolong milk tea and I feel like I've had better oolong milk teas, but the boba itself is delicious. So chewy and perfectly sweet. They have really perfected the boba! Service is fast and efficient. They have these fun fortunes you get to grab and it is right next to Korea town! It was a perfect ending to the night.

I forgot how much I love this area, it's where I spent a lot of my 20s. This boba spot wasn't here at the time and I'm not mad that it's here now. Yea this is some of the best boba out there. And I was in need of a sweet treat, so I went in and went rogue. I strayed from my usual brown sugar/fruit tea order. Tonight I deserved to treat myself. I went with the medium ube Oreo boba and after confirming it was caffeine free I was excited about my choice. And it was absolutely delicious which is why I increased my star. It was not too sweet and the boba was confirmed as it being some of the best.

I was very excited to try their boba because I heard people praising it on social media. Seeing that they make their tapioca pearls from scratch felt authentic and made it seemed it would be delicious. This was probably the best tapioca pearls I have ever tasted from a boba shop. You can tell it was freshly made without any explanation. As for the brown sugar milk tea I have ordered, it was average sadly. I should've asked for more brown sugar because the milk overpowered it. For me, the drink itself just wasn't memorable for me.

This place has terrific boba teas made fresh per order. Sure, brown sugar tea might have been all the rage a while back but I still enjoy how they serve it here and I make sure to drop by for some when in the East Village area. Staff is helpful and fast even when there is a line. There really is no seating so it's basically a grab and go.

Super nice spot! Fresh made boba will always be the best over any other place !! Flavors here are always great and the workers are kind and work very fast! When this place is busy service is a tiny bit slower but always efficient and worth a visit!!

I was having dinner nearby and wanted a sweet treat. My friend said that this is one of her favorite boba shops, so I had to give it a try! I got the black sesame boba, which was so good. I loved the nuttiness of the black sesame, which paired well with chewy boba. There wasn't much seating inside, but we did have a table to stand at. Not the best hangout spot but would definitely recommend for boba!

SOFT SERVE RATING their milk tea soft serve with boba was delicious!! the boba was still so warm and soft yet chewy at the bottom. people don't really know how to line up so it can be cramped in some areas. they also have a fortune pulling towards the back of the store you can do while you wait! love the concept.

Ive been here pleanty of times , was going to become my go to but just today I decided I will no longer come back. I asked for two large drinks and was given two small drinks but charged $21.I realized it once I got back in my car. I returned back to the store and was questioned as if I were lying, despite being the onñy customer at the time. Two of the three gentlemen were quick to assist meanwhile one of the three tried to give pushback and remade my lychee rose with the maximum ice, despite my original request of less ice. The other two kept speaking to him in their language , based on body language I could tell they were telling him to just make up for the mistake they made and remake it.

I've never been to a US location of Xing Fu Tang and I think I maybe have been missing out this whole time. I thought that they would not be able to make any drinks up to Taiwan's standards but that was not the case at all. First of all, I appreciate how many options they have that are just pure milk with no caffeine in it which is perfect for those who are sensitive to caffeine. I ordered the Herbal Jelly Boba Milk and it was great. The caramelized boba mixed with the not sweet at all milk was the perfect counteracting agent. I wish the herbal jelly was a bit softer and carried more flavor but it was still a great addition to the drink. Also even though I got the smaller option, I felt so full afterwards. Would recommend this place especially if you're looking for a non-caffeinated milk tea option.

I had their matcha w strawberry matcha for the first time it was delicious and fresh. The matcha flavor was strong which I appreciated. My sisters milk tea was really good too. Inflation hit them like crazy though a regular was 8.50. Def a once in a blue treat.

Ordering frozen yogurt at this Pinkberry was one of the most horrifying customer experiences I've…read morehad. When I walked in, I immediately went to the display showing all the toppings. I've never been to a yogurt store that makes you pay a set price first before selecting toppings, which also means toppings are limited based on the yogurt size (something I only realized later after looking at a picture I took in the store). The employee who was supposed to help me immediately gave me attitude, as if I was supposed to already know all the "rules" of the store. I said nothing that would have warranted that reaction -- I simply went over to the display. At the register, I scanned my rewards app then couldn't find the card reader to pay. After about 20 seconds, I realized it was sitting on top of a case of water bottles (pictured). The topping limit signage was also placed off to the side of the register where customers wouldn't naturally see it -- it wasn't even on my side and was partially blocked. I only found this out when I went up to the counter after I got my yogurt. While choosing toppings, I asked how many I was allowed, and she responded, "How many toppings do you think you're supposed to choose?" with a noticeably rude tone. When I chose cookie dough as my fourth topping, she only gave me a few pieces, dropped another on the counter (pictured), and ignored it. The cookie dough topping was stale too. I also noticed she did not seem to treat other customers the same way. I eventually went back to the register - I asked her if the yogurt was actually strawberry matcha because it tasted like vanilla. I also asked about her rudeness because I genuinely didn't understand why I was being treated that way for asking simple questions. She said the information was "on the wall," even though it was difficult to see. I actually ended up apologizing earlier because she made me feel like I was burdening her. The only personable thing she said the entire interaction was that I didn't need to apologize, but the tone still felt unfriendly. Two customers sitting nearby ended up leaving without ordering. I understand it was Super Bowl Sunday and she appeared to be working alone, which may have contributed to stress. Still, I left feeling extremely shaken and even spilled yogurt on my jacket afterward. I would not return to this location. I used to come to this location sometimes, but after this experience -- and a previous visit where I ordered a tea and received very little -- I would not return.

Ahh, grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my childhood favorite dessert and summons nostalgia! It is my mission to search for bubble tea businesses that offers grass jelly as a topping for my primary reason to patronize. It was abundant which filled one quarter of my medium sized drink. The grass jelly topping is New York City standard priced at $0.50 at least there is sustainability and a sense of normalcy. I requested regular ice, but the entire ice dispensed disappointedly melted and the drink became room temperate. Heat wave medium $6.00 Passionfruit green tea with grass jelly, 50%, light sugar. The drink alone was good quality. While scanning the electronic menu the drink names appear very comical and not business appropriate as well as this bubble tea business name Ho Ho Te. The sound speakers is boisterously loud blasting music directly at my face by the ordering counter. The cashier associate was 90% inaudible of her customer service questions due to the boisterously loud blasting music as I had to fight loud vs. loud by blurting loudly several times: "WHAT?" Why would a business intentionally place sound speakers in front of a ordering counter station where customers must communicate their food/drink orders? How can customers place their drinks orders with clear specific description/instructions only for the cashier associate to inadvertently obfuscate by misinformation because the message conveyed was utterly misinterpreted? Communication is vital for ordering and order fulfillment accuracy in the food service industry! The cardboard paper straws available are environmentally sustainable friendly for biodegradable and compostable. However, these cardboard straws taste AWFULl!! The drink selection is very limited menu compared with other bubble tea competitors. Disappointedly there is no Jasmine green tea on the menu. There are some food items. Takeout menus are available for grabs. Loyalty card is available which also serve as business card where the back is printed in gold foil. This business is very accessible by MTA NYC Transit at Port Authority 42nd Street's A, C, E trains and buses near the peripheral of Times Square.
