Both large and small dog parks are double gated so the dogs cant get out and run off. The area for the small dogs is maybe a third if the size of the large dog side. There is fresh water for your dog to get drinks and there's a poopie bag dispenser so you can clean your mess. Most of the people here pay attention to their dogs behavior and I personally haven't seen a blown out dog fight. Its a good social spot for you and your dog. Not much seating area but there are a few fixed benches in the fenced parks. Parking is usually available and near the park entrances. If your dog needs a energy release, give this place a try.

The admin office in the back is much better with customer service. They actually talk to you like a human. The nature trails here are lovely, beaches are gorgeous and the gate guards are so kind. People will throw your laundry out of the wash so beware of the selfish people that come. It's nice that there's so many cabins because it is easy to have last minute visitors make a reservation.

My only complaint is regarding the trail in the woods behind the athletic fields and playground - the trail loops around itself multiple times and it can be hard to follow where you are. I would recommend to Rec and Park to put in routes spray painted with different colors instead of just yellow, and a few more map stands (currently only one at the entrance).

I am not a member and I saw that the registration for open play filled up before it even became available for non-members. Luckily, there were cancellations so I was able to get a spot to try out the courts. The open play is pretty high level play. I would say that the average play was about 3.5. I enjoyed the competitive but good spirited players who I competed with. There are 6 courts and it is a four on-four off rotation with paddles stacked on the fence. The courts had lots of space for ATP and Ernie's. I also thought it was hilarious that most of the advertisements and sponsors on the walls were for physical therapists and senior homes. That's pickleball in a nutshell! Hopefully will get the chance to drop by again.
