I mentioned a few issues I had in addition to the main problem - wipers quit working. They looked my car over and found the problems, providing me with details and what could be fixed now and what could wait. They provided me details, cost, etc. and kept me apprised of progress. Additionally, they provided me a loaner car. This was a godsend as I was going to daily radiation therapy for cancer. I was so pleased with their care, I also asked them to give me an oil change as I knew it would be needed soon. I feel the cost of the work was very fair and will have the continue with the other things we found and put on hold. Great business!

Explained situation to intake person Kory, and worked on differential fluid change. Problem persisted and we had to order new transmission ($4000) and considered $1500 labor. Luckily problem has seemed to resolve with fluid change, they refunded my $ for transmission, only charged for fluid change. They were VERY good with communication, not up-selling, straight shooters. While they may charge a tad more than others, it is worth their quality and honesty any day!

Had UFCR do a couple things for me. Valvoline said the inner section of my oil filter was damaged…read more& they replaced it free. So I wanted to have it looked at make sure it was done right & figure out why/how it was damaged. Apparently Valvoline must have dropped it. The damage wasn't caused by the car or road. My car needed a total transmission flush.. they did it in a timely manner & things are working good. The reason I went to them was in the spring I had some issues & come to find out there was a recall for it. When I had called Spartan Toyota (before going tho University Foreign Car Repair) they wanted over $200 to "diagnose". Interesting there's a recall & the dealership wants $ to diagnose a recall. The folks at University told me about it & printed out the recall info thus Spartan repaired it without the diagnostic fee. Who does that? Tells you there's a recall & take it to the dealership & get it fixed free. When I came in this time for these other things (granny flush etc) they told me they had a bad review. Now that I found surprising. These folks have been in business many years & always had a stellar reputation. But I didn't use them until recently. I was very confused by them 1st telling me about the bad review. So I read it. That post after reading it seemed like somethings missing. Maybe it was someone else's card, maybe she had a previous experience that went away? But something in it seems like there's more to it. These people at University knocked hundreds off what they originally quoted me. Even during the quote and drop off. When I came back, it was even less than quoted. The work was great. I had no problem with payment with my card. They were jovial gentleman, and truly seemed like they not only cared about my car, but my budget & me as a person. Some people are just never happy unless it's free & even then....they'd probably complain ​​

He did at first give me the option to replace 3 tires ..which.. honestly the One was the only one that Needed to get replaced.. the other two can wait another month or two.. They aren't too old, I got them the year before last. The tread is coming up on where they are recommended buying new ones.. but they have a bit to go yet. Other than that my appointment went as expected and they hit the time frame within an acceptable window. I will be back for the tires but not right away.

June 2025 I brought my van in for an alignment. I told the manager Jeremy Baker that i was hearing…read morenoises coming from under the van by the front tires. After the alignment was done, he told me that they did hear the noise but that it wasn't anything to be concerned with. He said " it might be annoying but just turn the radio up. So i drove through the winter continuing to hear the noise. Early spring 2026, I called and spoke to Jeremy Baker and told him that I was hearing the noises and they were getting worse and more persistent. He told me to bring it in. So I bring it in and after they drove it and examined it, Jeremy Baker said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my suspension or any parts of it. On Saturday, July 18, 2026 I had an alignment scheduled and Jeremy said they would check it again because I told him I could feel movement under my feet and that the noise was really bad. Within 10 minutes, Jeremy Baker told me I didn't need an alignment because I was good. He also stated that he had his best man drive and inspect the van. Jeremy Baker for the 3rd time told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with my suspension or any parts of it. I said you know if anything happens because there is something wrong, I'm going to sue Belle Tire. At that time he said you've been here 3 times and never paid for anything. I had work done previously, bought 4 brand new tires and paid for an alignment. On Sunday, 7-19-26, I was speaking to my neighbor and he told me he was a mechanic and had a shop. So he came over, crawled under the van and with in 30 seconds he said you ball joint is horrible and shot. You need a new lower control arm. He said being it in on Monday and I'll replace it. Today, 7-20-26 I took it to his shop. With in a minute of taking off the front driver wheel, he said you have a crack on steering nuckle and your tie rod is bent. Everything needs to be replaced. 3 minutes of inspecting my van, the mechanic find 3 serious issues one of which if very dangerous. 4 visits to belle tire and not one issue found. The belle tire on Homer St in Lansing is under HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!!! Jeremy Bakes is a huge liability for belle tire. He's a straight up joke!! I uploaded picture of the damaged part for proof.
