I own a Porsche 981 GTS and purchased a cat back exhaust from another vendor. The exhaust was too loud, it had drone and the fitment was poor. Paid in full, then had to return and pay again to have them remove this system that had UNBEARABLE drone. They said it "shouldn't drone." I was in desperate need of replacing my catalytic converter because I didn't pass my smog test. While I'm loyal to my mechanic and his wife, he wasn't as efficient in scoping out the market for a converter replacement that would align with my car and suggested that I call a few dealerships. I initially needed a sticker to verify what type of converter I needed. Hyundai dealership required me to pay $300 for a new sticker through, and then they would quote me an upward of 2k. Absolutely never! Every quote was nearly more than I wanted to spend. So, I was referred to Team MPE and thank the universe I was. Of course there's always the stigma of being a woman in a male dominant environment when dealing with cars, however, I felt so ensured that I was in good hands. Essentially, I was informed that MPE is well known, but they were very down to earth; none of that show-boating. Thankfully, they were open even on a holiday, and I was the first car in the morning. Juan checked his tablet for prices and to see if they had any parts already in stock, and quoted me $1,200 based on market value. Sold! And when he asked when I wanted to have it replaced, I said today. Due to me running around all morning, I was famished, and I asked Juan if there were any nearby restaurants I could go to. Conveniently, he told me that a woman comes with food everyday to cater to the shop. Authentic Mexican food which he asked me if I like. Absolutely! And he was going to buy me a plate and just put it on my tab. The woman came not long after and the food was chefs kiss! They made me feel so comfortable where I was able to sit on this long table with outlets. But, being that I preferred to sun bathe, Juan set up a chair for me to place my food on (which I ate every last bite), and offered me water. More cars started showing up, but my car literally only took about 2-hours max. I digress. I asked them to build a custom exhaust system for me. they asked if it would be alright to push in one of the header pipes just a bit to get the headers to fit. i said alright thinking it'd be a tiny thing. my car had been driving like sh*t, i thought it was because of the headers not being long tubes, i swapped them at a different shop and found this. they abused them. made my engine run terribly. they even left a little hole in the tail pipe they installed. a hole. in a brand new exhaust. not to mention they are very very pricey. i would not recommend this shop. read more

Another updated review. I've since been here about 8 times with a couple of vehicles since my last review earlier this year and every single time, they never disappoint. I live about 20-30 miles from them and i still will not take any vehicle of mine to any other place for exhaust work. Juan is my go to and his work is just beyond words. He takes the time to really make any installation look good (from measurements and leveling to the color of the exhaust tips) and even when you're unsure about what you want, he knows how to give you that perfect sound that you're looking for and he will always give me a fair price. I swear he's there everyday or at least whenever i needed to go there, don't know how he does it cause that place gets loud sometimes but i'm lucky enough to have him work on my cars. Unfortunately, I didn't have the same experience as what others described. Don't get me wrong, they were all nice guys. However, I felt like the job done on my car was done poorly. Brought my BMW 3 series in on a Sunday morning. Had to get my exhaust tips realigned. Saw that it was pretty busy, so I knew I was going to be waiting for an hour or two. Talked to the receptionist and some mechanic (forgot their names, but one was a skinny guy and another was like mid 20s). Well, they said it was good to do for $45 and would take about an hour wait time. That was fine with me. So I stood in the lot, waiting with everyone else, watching all the exhausts done on other customers' cars. I completely understand when you have a lot of people at shop, there is a long wait time. I didn't mind at all and just waited patiently. However, there shouldn't be instances where you get skipped, and that happened to me twice! When I finally asked when I was next, they told me that my car was the next in queue. However, that was just another 20-30 minutes when there was two empty stalls. When it was finally my turn, the guy who helped me did take some time to help my align my exhaust tips. I'll definitely give him brownie points for putting up with my OCD. Took about 5 minutes going back and forth aligning the tips. When he was welding back my tips, he accidentally burnt the sides of my exhaust tips! He sprayed it with water, and just went on with it without apologizing or anything..... I even brought it up, but he ignored me. Once everything was done, I went in to pay and the receptionist quoted me $50....when they said something different in the beginning. I spoke to him calmly, stating the whole incident and was somewhat sincere enough to lower the price to $40. I still wished I had a better experience here, but that didn't exactly happen. I drove all the way to their shop from Covina because of the reviews I saw and they were open on a Sunday! I brought it up to them and they went right back into fixing the issue... no attitude... so side-eye... they just did it. I made the mistake of letting them know I needed something installed asap. I had a tow hitch from mopar and I was quoted over the phone. Originally they were charging $200 and I was ok with that. I arrived, apparently the part from mopar direct was bent and needed to be heated and straightened out. And it would be "too much work". So that $200 quote changed to $600. I was able to do it with the help of my pops for free. I just wanted the convenience of having someone do it for me. I gave the $200 to my pops very gladly. And I was still able to have a tow hitch in my vehicle for my trip. read more
