My car was what could only be described as mechanically "rough"; I bought it about a year ago as somebody else's project and managed to get it running but just barely. Basically, the head needed rebuilding and was in need of a valve job, the engine itself needed rebuilding, the fuel system needed replacing, as well as the brakes and electrical components to get it street legal. Awesome Z was thorough and thoughtful about the whole thing and comparatively speaking surprisingly affordable. There are shops in Houston that say they work on Datsuns but Awesome Z really has a passion for them. Go in there shop and all you'll see are S30 chassis, some S130s, and occasionally more modern Z cars. You'll also find a crew very knowledgeable about the cars they work on will give you plenty of options on which way you want to take your build. I can't wait to continue working with them, they definitely have a customer for life.

We brought my wife's Infinity to Andy's company - American Dent Specialists - a few years ago and they did a great job detailing the car. When I bought my Porsche a few months ago, I was encouraged to look into having ceramic applied to protect the finish. I called Andy to get his take on the technology (very positive!) and learned that his company applies ceramic coatings. I was fortunate enough to be going on vacation a few weeks ago and Andy arranged for me to have the ceramic coating applied while I was gone. This had the added benefit of allowing the car to sit in Andy's shop for 5 additional days to give the ceramic coating more time to cure out of the elements. I was blown away by how nice the car looked when I picked it up. It is perfect! Very shiny and the detail work to the car was excellent. Andy introduced me to the two guys who worked on the car and they were really excited about how the car came out. One of the reasons I chose ceramic technology is the ease of doing maintenance washes. I have done one maintenance wash since I picked the car up. Used two buckets as they recommended. Then, I used my leaf blower to dry the car. It worked incredibly well. My wife was with me when I picked up the car. Andy, and the two guys, let my wife know the advantages of getting it done on her Mercedes SUV. The guys were so strong on the technology, answered her questions, and of course she could see the result in my car. She is very practical, and a tough sell, so not sure if she will make it happen. While my accident was very minor, Tesla being a Tesla needed extra work and parts to be replaced, and these parts don't come cheap. CMS is a Tesla certified shop, so I believe they only replace your parts with OEM. Thankfully, the other party's insurance was paying for it, but Angel Robles is the absolute man. He was very accommodating and helpful and got me in and out in very little time. Marisa at the front desk was also a wealth of knowledge and experience dealing with the insurance companies. My repairs were spot on, but on top of that they washed my car and vacuumed the interior back to the condition it was in when I drove it off the lot.
