We had to clear our own table because I only saw one waitstaff running around. We were finally told we can look at the menus and order at the front. I knew I wanted the po-boy and that is what I ordered, my wife got the shrimp basket, and our daughter ordered the steak finger basket. Our meal took a while to come out and what came out was not a shrimp po-boy. It was a shrimp sandwich on Texas toast. I looked at it and told the server that is not a po-boy. She said they were out of the hoagie rolls and that was a sub for the bread it would have been courteous to let me know before I ordered this that this was what was being offered. Unfortunately I had to send it back and order the basket instead and I do not like doing that. No tartar or ketchup was sent out with the meal and had to ask for it. They sent out room temperature tartar sauce in an already handled bottle by other guests which to me was not very sanitary. Will not be back. I'm not a fan of their location - sharing the same building with a gas station. It's an ick for me and seems a bit uncleanly, even the parking lot is a bit shady. This whole thing caused a huge scene in which could of been avoided if they sat us down appropriately to our request of a party of 10 and provided us a high chair upon our first request; or better yet simply acknowledge you can't accommodate us before dissapointing us after the fact. Poor systems, management, customer service, and situational awareness. The owners (who also are the cook and wait staff) were very friendly and helpful in assisting me in making my meal choices. I never had Salvador food before, but everything I tried over the weekend was delicious.
