This is a small Teaspresso inside the L&L at Koko Marina. I come here to get my matcha tea boba fix once a week at least. I've had several drinks but the boba are the best they offer. They do also have oreo shake drinks that my kids enjoy but I'm a sucker for the boba drinks. If you need boba in Hawaii Kai, this is where I'd go. The teas are actual teas and not artificial flavor-filled boba drinks that you would find elsewhere. read more

This teaspresso is mediocre compared to the other locations. Service is terrible here in the Hawaii Kai location. Two teenagers are just sitting behind the counter chatting along without any concern about the customer. If you want to get your drinks in 20 min, come on over to this location. The Piikoi location is WAAYYYY better than this. To the owners of Teaspresso please make sure your young workers practice their customer service skills. I've been here twice. Once around 5pm on a Friday and 12pm on a Tuesday. I tried to order the taro smoothie both times, after I paid a worker would come up to me on the side and say "sorry we're out of taro, can you pick another flavor?". Maybe you should put a sign saying you don't have any so people don't get their hopes up... or perhaps telling customers before they pay would be nice, so they can take their money elsewhere. I think they're working on it. I keep coming in here and there since they opened and it's always a hit and miss. Sometimes no large boba. Sometimes doesn't taste just right. Even though there's a sign now that says something like if you're not satisfied we'll make it again. But I'm the type who just says whatever and just drinks it. The location is really convenient, it's a good place for students to go after school to grab a drink, especially on early release days! The tea here is just as great as the other locations, although a line built up when I was here. My drinks came out within 5 minutes and the amount of boba, as well as the sweetness, was very satisfactory! I will be coming back again when I get cravings. On a side note: they don't have FiveStar set up yet, but they do have stamp cards (10 stamps for 1 free drink). There are also not as many drink and topping selections available. read more

Honestly, appalled by how horrible my experience was here. I was so excited to have one open up close to home and it was a big mistake. I ordered a jasmine milk tea with boba, 50% sweet, and no ice. I have never had a problem with this as it's my usual order at every boba shop. When I got my order, it was piping hot! Even worse, it was in a plastic cup for cold drinks. You'd expect the worker to put the drink in a paper cup made for hot teas. I would have been understanding if she had misheard me but no, I grabbed it and it burned my hand. When she remade it... It was still hot. Keep in mind, I have worked in a boba shop before so when you order no ice, it means you still shake the milk tea with ice and drain it out without the ice to make the drink cold. Unless the customer ordered a hot milk tea, then they should know not to shake the tea with ice. Horrible experience and taste is not consistent with the other Teapresso Bars around Honolulu. read more

This is the worst Teapresso. It's stuffed into an overcrowded corner of Loco Moco Drive Inn at the dilapidated Koko Marina. It's so stuffy, hot, and smells like a stink restaurant when you walk through the doors. Half the time the employees are so behind on orders. Here's the most annoying thing, they are almost ALWAYS out of boba! How the heck can they run out of boba every time? You'd think they'd plan ahead and make sure they were well stocked. A bunch of teenage girls that just talk to each other and have a really bad attitude when taking your order... should hire new employees or train the current ones to know how to deal with customers... Out of all of the Teapressos I've been to, this one is the worst. They don't have a wide selection of drinks, and the quality of them is pretty bad. Came here once hoping to get a decent milk tea during my time in East Honolulu. When I came here though, I realized they didn't have all of the drinks Teapresso usually has. I decided to still try something, so I got myself a Brown Sugar Drink. I've been to other boba places around the island, so maybe my expectations were too high. When I got the drink. My favorite milk tea/boba place has done it again! Big ups to Steve (owner) for expanding out yet another location this time with this one being in Hawaii Kai (specifically located at Koko Marina Shopping Center). It is even more specifically located inside the Loco Moco plate lunch place. Been a fan and follower since the OG Teapresso Bar #1, #2 Piikoi, now Hawaii Kai I can't keep track anymore. Anyways my favorites drinks are usually their top 5, preferably the teapresso milk tea followed by tropic osmanthus, Vietnamese milk coffee, etc. Like all other locations, they usually have their samples out on the front counter. This location is similar to their Koolina and Pearl City location where they share a stand with another small business. It is more like a to go and take out kind of location. However, it is perfect if you are eating a plate lunch at Loco Moco. Love it that they have one in Hawaii Kai now since infrequent the area from time to time. read more

I've been coming to this placepretty often and I've noticed that you have to come at the right time to get a good drink. When they make it correctly, it's usually amazing, with the rose black milk tea being my favorite but I also like the taro and coconut. However, most of the time, they don't make it correctly and it tastes kind of awful. They have this thing where if you don't like your drink then you can return it (i think) but I'm usually too shy to ask for another one. Nonetheless, if you decide to get boba, be aware that it may not be the best 100% of the time, and if the drink is brown when you ordered something that shouldn't have been brown, they most likely made it incorrectly. read more

Went one night at 8:30 and wanted boba. However when I got there and as I ordered they then told me that there was no more milk tea and boba because they closed the brewing machine for the day. I told them that there was still 30 minutes but they kept saying it was closed. I was very disappointed and discouraged on how they closed everything up 30 minutes prior to closing just because they didn't want to clean up after 9 and what made it worst is that one of the owners was counting the money in front of us ready to close up. It's not very professional to count money in front of your customers and to even close up everything 30 minutes before. If they want to earn money they shouldn't discourage customers or even make excuses so that they didn't have to clean up after. When an establishment closes at 9 they stop sales at 9 or 5 minutes before. Not 30 minutes before just because they want to leave at 9. Definitely not going back to this location again. read more
