You got me so addicted, I stopped by twice & looking forward to more visits. Teapresso is located on Piikoi, right next to Ichiriki. How did I miss Teapresso after all of my visits to Ichiriki? Parking is located in the back of shop or street parking. The reasons why I'm addicted: The tea is made fresh & I really could taste the difference. They have special machines to brew their teas. I just love the coffee Jelly. when request is half sweet means it is half sweet, I like the atmosphere of this shop, cute décor, board games, picnic bench, even a popcorn machine. The workers are friendly. All the polaroid photos are so cool, shows you how many customers just loves Teapresso.!! My last visit, I got the Green Tea latte with coffee Jelly. Wow!! I LOVED it!! This drink was very GOOD!! My goal for Teapresso 2, is to try all the different drinks on the menu. I think that would be hard, since I am already addicted to green tea, but I will stick to my goal. The prices are lower, than the other tea shops & don't forget to get a stamp card. Tuesday is double stamp day! As all my friends, co-wokers, family, mentioned - another boba, milk tea place?! Sharing and reporting this employee at the Teapresso Piikoi making drinks without putting mask on. Kindly advised to the employee, but she seemed to be averse to put mask back on and argued back. Ended up leaving without having the drinks that were already paid for. Wanted to emphasize this as precaution is strongly recommended and needed during this covid pandemic. If customers are required to wear masks on for entrance, employees should be required to wear masks as well especially during the process of making food & drinks. My friend took me to Teapresso Bar 2 located directly to the right of Ichiriki restaurant on Piikoi. They had two containers of iced tea to sample at the front. I tried them both and liked the lilikoi / passion fruit / lychee. Sure enough, it was about 5 bucks for a cup of iced tea. They have a very relaxed seating area and a very cool popcorn machine. So yes, unlimited free popcorn with cheese and salt topping. Unfortunately, the popcorn pops dry so the cheese flavoring doesn't really adhere to it the popcorn. So in the eighties when Starbucks came to town, I couldn't believe people were paying four bucks for a cup of coffee. Then in the nineties when Hard Rock Cafe came to town, I couldn't believe people were paying ten bucks for a hamburger. Now in the new millennium which is a decade and a half past, people are now paying five bucks for a cup of iced tea with gelatin balls! I must admit, the iced tea was delicious and now I'm a fan of bubble tea. I will be returning soon. Definitely recommended. read more

Spending more time in places with a significant Chinese population only in recent years, I've been exposed to better quality boba and tea drinks, but I still have a lot to learn. The boba competition is tight on Oahu. Teapresso wins in my book for two simple reasons... - Their teas are MADE TO ORDER with great flavors - Customers can adjust their preferred sweetness level! Recently, after studying more about tea out of sheer interest, along with my steady love for coffee since college (so I'm now more keen to bitter flavors), I want to taste specific tea flavors for what they are, and not have tea masked by sugar or cream. I honestly don't remember the last time I ordered a smoothie boba drink. By the way, fruity smoothie boba fans won't really find what they're looking for as this place is called TEApresso. I love the iced tea drinks, but somehow, I can never steer away from the house Teapresso milk tea, all at 50 or 75% sweetness. Plenty of boba spots surround this location, but for the drinks, this one tops the list if I'm not concerned about convenience. read more

I take my boba seriously (as in, I often drive 25 miles from home solely to get the good stuff). Teapresso is right up there with the best of the best! The boba balls are flavorful and just the right amount of chewy, and the tea is all brewed fresh and completely customizable. No pitcher of pre-sweetened milk tea pulled out of the fridge nonsense. If you're getting milk tea, you can choose what kind of milk you want (the traditional non-dairy creamer, or whole milk, soy milk, etc.), customize the sweetness level (they run pretty sweet...I like it sweet but 75% sweet is perfect for me here). I love their seafoam (salted cream) option. Pair it with jasmine green tea for a serious winner. But everything I've tasted there so far (Lady Gray, Earl Gray with lavender, black milk tea) has been absolutely delicious. read more

Things to note: There is limited street parking and paid parking behind Teapresso. It's the same lot shared with Air Park Karaoke. That lot is $1 an hour. It's the only reason why I took away a star. Sometimes we park at Payless Shoe store because there is just no parking. Ambience: This place would be a great first date meet up. I always wanted to try their downtown location but never made it there. I'm so glad they opened up their second location where Kung Fu tea used to be. You can park in rear but after 6pm you need to pay $1. Parking can be challenging especially dinner time. Spaces are tight too. As soon as I walked in, I was acknowledged by one of staff and asked if I ever tried their drinks. Her approach wanting to help me was subtle but helpful. She didn't rush me. I appreciate good customer service. I ordered my usual jasmine milk tea with half sweetness. I also got Hong Kong milk tea with small boba. My order was up within 5 minutes. The jasmine milk tea had nice fragrance to it. Hong Kong milk tea was nice and light. The mini boba was soft but stuck together. I did receive 2 free drinks coupon on my next week. Definitely a solid boba option if you are in the ala Moana area. Teapresso is located next to ichiriki, across from the Nijiya Market lot. I ordered the wintermelon milk tea and asked for 25% sweetness. The cashier warned me that the wintermelon tea sweetness could not be adjusted significantly. It was extremely sweet for my liking so I drank half and saved the other half for later. Wintermelon flavor was good, but could be stronger. You are able to add in boba and jellies at an extra cost. I also loved that Teapresso has a variety of games such as mancala and jenga. Makes for a fun place to hang out with friends. Parking: Can be a little challenging. Not sure if they have designated stalls. There are a few street parking stalls in the front. read more

Ding ding ding.... I think we have a winner! After all these years of searching for a legit boba place with all the fixings....I think this is it! There's tons of different types of drinks from milk teas to slushes, smoothies, and iced tea... And let's not forget coffee! Their drinks are made from actual tea and not any of the powder stuff. If you're not a fan of tea... Then you shouldn't order their tea drinks.... The location may be tricky but no fear because there's parking in back. However be warned... nights may be a little busy due to other restaurants and Air park in the same location. I've tried their mango kumquat tea, lava flow, yo tea (Calpico), strawberry slush and Teapresso Milk tea. The only drink I didn't care for was the strawberry slush. Their milk tea isn't like coffee or teas because they have a strong tea flavor. Each drink that I've had with boba have been a treat! Their boba is always consistent being chewy and flavorful. On a cold day you can even order hot boba which is delicious as well! Overall, I really enjoy this place. After I finish work, I usually want to get as far away from downtown as possible. So of course that would mean I don't visit the original Teapresso on weekends. However, this location is right in between where I live and downtown. Parking is free up until 6pm (behind the building). You may be lucky enough to find street parking otherwise. I obviously can't write the same review as the original place, but I can tell you the similarities and differences in experience! Similarities: They are still using the espresso-like machines to make their tea. Unlike one of my friends (who will most likely read this review) who thought they put a shot of espresso in each milk tea (SAY WHAT? -- They do NOT). Which basically means every order is freshly brewed. Differences: Since I've been sick for about the past 6 weeks, I decided to try something else. On their menu, you can find it as "strawberry taro" but because a taro smoothie was actually one of the things I drank from non other than... Gong Cha, that is what I decided to order, a taro-only smoothie. That's right, this was going to be a comparative drink. The drink was pretty spot on. If I were to guess, it was about a 90% match which is pretty good considering this isn't a menu item. Verdict? WORTH. After getting the initial suggestion to come to Teapresso from a friend, I have tried other places as well, but nothing here comes close to Teapresso. read more

Newly opened tea place! It's where Kung Fu tea used to be. Seems like they're making good business to open a second location. I haven't tried their original location in downtown. So my friends and I ended up here. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed by the owner and employees. We were newbies so the owner came to us and explain the menu options. They have all the steps on the menu which is very helpful. There seem to be so many options it was soo hard to choose. The workers gave us samples of the topping so we can choose what to get. 5 minutes later.... I ordered the iced rose black tea with matcha pudding 25% sweet. All drinks are one size which is a large, around $5 each. I can taste the tea flavor. Loved it! The pudding wasn't too sweet, it was like firm tofu. Tasty. My friends liked their drinks too. The owner offered us more sample toppings when we sat down. Then he came up to us and gave us a free sample drink of green milk tea with sea foam. Other tables got a free sample drink too. First time trying sea foam tea. It was pretty good. Don't forget to shake it. We didn't and it tasted funny at first. We didn't hear the owner saying to shake it because we were into our uno game.. ...that's right, they have board games and card games on the side so we can play. Awesome! We stayed there for 2 hours drinking tea and playing uno. Ahem, I won once! The owner also offered to take a polaroid pic for us. We get to put it on the wall. Wall of fame! Just kidding.. Been meaning to update my post for a while sorry it took so long. The last time i went they was so much better with the service and everything. The workers made our drinks fast and i tried a watermelon drink that really tasted like i was drinking straight out of a melon. I loved it! My wife had a kit kat frappe that she really loved too. Now when I'm down in the area (Piikoi) and I'm fixing for a drink i know that I'll be back. So sorry again Steve for not taking the time to update my review. When I heard this place was opened by Ala Moana, I was excited because I never tried their first location yet because it's kind of an inconvenience. I went the week they opened and they were doing a promotion! Buy one and get a free drink the next time you visit. So yay to that! I didn't know what to get so I decided to get their Teapresso Milk Tea with regular boba and I really liked it! I like places where you can actually taste the tea and this place did not let me down! After taking a couple of sips, I realized that I recognized the tea flavor they used so my friend asked what were the tea leaves that they used. I forgot the name though :( but they used two different kinds of leaves :O I would recommend this drink if you don't know what to get :) I came here again the following week and it was busy since it was night time. This time I tried the Tropic Osmanthus. After ordering, my friends and I decided to sit at one of the tables and wait for my drink to come. Then I started to wonder how come people that ordered after me got their drinks. So, I decided to wait by the counter area and the owner asked me if I ordered and I told him I did and said the name of the drink. He was looking for it and realized that one of the workers gave it to the customer that was before me since she ordered the same drinks as me and ordered quite a lot as well. Right away, he told one of the workers to make another one and he gave me a free drink for the next time. Thumbs up to that! :D The drink overall was good, I just love how their tea flavor is really strong! After my first initial review and experiences with Teapresso, the owner of the business kindly reached out to me to offer a complimentary drink, as well as a tip to order a tea more to my liking. My previous review stated that the drinks were way too sweet even for "less sweet" mixed with their boba. Again, the owner reached out and recommended that I try light sweet and that they can always remake the drink. Record scratch. Wait, what? This was a game changer. I always assumed that speciality drinks were served as is. Knowing that they could remake my drink, I sought out to find out exactly what it is that I liked! Some drinks are perfect with lightly sweet (like tropical Osmanthus). Others, I need an extra boost of sugar (like for yo-tea). In all, I really appreciated Steve reaching via Yelp and I've been a diligent consumer of Teapresso since then! If anyone is curious, may I recommend trying the Osmanthus black tea, less sweet with small boba? That's my mix right there! read more

I loooove bubble tea! Can't believe when I was little I refused to eat the boba! What was I thinking?! After reading all the great reviews, I really wanted to like this place! It's such a cute shop! I love all the pictures of customers, the cute picnic bench-like seating, the free samples! Aaah! When I went there were two sample drinks out: their Teapresso Milk Tea and their version of a Mai Tai (non-alcoholic). I really loved both drinks but opted to get the Milk Tea. My friend decided to make his own drink! There are up to 7 things you can add to your customized drink from the type of tea you want, the syrups, milk, toppings, the list goes on and on! This is a great option but I had nooo idea what the teas tasted like so for me, it was better to just pick a drink I was already used to. Although I absolutely love the atmosphere, the options, and samples, the price for me is a deal breaker... my Milk Tea with boba turned out to over $5! Oh my gosh!! Never had to pay so much for milk tea before! Also, although super great for custom drinks, each thing you add is $0.50-$0.75 more! If you don't do your calculations, you could have one super expensive drink! As for my Milk Tea, I asked for half the sweetness which is what I get at boba places but it was still too sweet for me. The boba was okay. It was plainer than I'm used to. My friend really loved this customized drink and his was around the same price as mine. I guess if you wanna be adventurous and create your own drink, this place is great! I forget what he got but it was something with lavender, and Assam tea. I told him it tasted like Gau (the Chinese mochi made during Chinese New Year). I was really stuck between giving this place a 3 or 4...but I'll give it 3.5 so I rounded it up to 4 stars. Three words: CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. It's unbelievable that I have to make a review like this but I feel like others should know (and others have also mentioned about in previous reviews) - My bf and I have caught them multiple times of adding additional toppings to our orders to scam us and our total coming out to more than it should We've noticed the Vietnamese lady who works at night doing it and it's happened to us again with the younger male who also works at night. When we asked them why we were charged extra they tried to play it off like it was the system that made a mistake. FALSE because I've seen her punching it in and seeing it on the smaller screen while she tries to have small talk with us. Quality has gone down and no longer worth it when there's a dozen other boba shops in the area, and it seems like they never get orders right. Would not recommend this place to anyone at this point unless they do something about their workers or work ethic. read more

I don't know what the lady was trying to do but she added an extra $2.00 to each drink and refused to print us out a copy of the receipt. My daughters love all their drinks - all kinda of unique flavors like Strawberry Lilikoi with Lychee jelly - Love their original milk tea- its the only one I will drink because it is freshly brewed and tastes fresh! Worse experience I ever had. I placed an Uber eats order 10-15 mins before heading out. When I got there , the order was not even ready. I had asked the women at the counter, a Vietnamese women, she explained it is not ready, she said 5 more mins , I thought 5 min didn't seem bad, so I waited, 5 mins passed, I checked again and she told me 5 more mins. That time I started getting annoyed. It took her more than 15 mins to get my drinks ready. I then see her pouring a full scoop of ice into my drinks, which I requested on my Uber eats pick up order "less ice" , I informed her I wanted less ice, and she said "this is less ice". At that time , I was getting really frustrated , I went back to my car , placed my straw into the drink and .... The drink was extremely sweet, I had ordered 2 drinks , a Hong Kong milk tea (less ice, and less sweetness) , a raspberry lemon tea (no sweetness , and less ice) mind that , I was drinking full on sugar water, I returned with my friend to explain to her , we wanted no sugar on one drink and less sugar on one drink, she replied to us "it is all natural" , I worked at a Asian cafe before, and I know how to make these type of drinks, these are not natural sweetness, she adds sweetener to her drinks. She then dug out the previous order receipt and showed us , she followed the exact order it came from Uber eats, on the receipt you can clearly see "sugar" on both drinks. They really need to update her pos system, or else it will screw up everyone's order. She had a attitude problem too, yelling at my friend and I when we came back to tell her the order was not Right. Dude idek wtf was happening but we waited over half an hour for three drinks and there were maybe four other customers in the store. They told us 30 minutes in that the blender was broken and that's why it was taking so long but none of our drinks required a blender. Once we finally did get our drinks, they were super watery, like I got a water with boba. I don't know. Normally my teapresso experience is pretty nice, but I do not think I will be going back again. read more
