I was really excited to try mini monster cafe after seeing all the great yelp reviews and their adorable glass bear honolulu souvenir cup. Their acai bowls and drinks sounded delicious and I was looking forward to checking them out. Unfortunately the customer service completely changed my mind. There was only 1 customer ahead of me, yet I waited over 20 minutes without any acknowledgement. No one greeted me. No one said they would be right with me or even made eye contact. To make matters worse another customer and her child walked up and were able to cut in front of me without anyone noticing or correcting. I understand places get busy and I dont mind waiting when acknowledged. There was only 1 worker and she was too busy to notice her surroundings. I decided to leave without ordering. I was really hoping to enjou this place but first impressions matter. Hopefully the customer service improves because the menu looks great. read more

I usually love overly sweet teas but holy cow my 24 oz Thai tea from Mini Monster Cafe was wayyyyyy too sweet even for me. I was surprised they didn't ask me what sweetness level I wanted, but perhaps I got that mixed up with another vendor I was looking at before deciding on Mini Monster Café. Service was straight forward, not overly friendly but not rude just the very matter of fact Gen Z type of vibe. I have to admit overall I just wasn't too impressed. This is an actual hidden gem!! Get the mason jar, it's a great souvenir and they offer discounted refills!! The jar is huge. I got the Thai Coffee with Oat milk and asked for extra bitterness and they delivered. I honestly just love the jar and staff recommendations and kindness. Mini monster cafe is located in the Royal Hawaiian food court. I had this place saved for a while and in my quest to find my favorite matcha I wanted to give it a try. I got the 16 oz lavender matcha, it was just the right amount of sweetness for me (a lot of matchas are too bitter for me) and the lavender was subtle and not overpowering. I also thought $6.50 is a very good price for 16 oz in Waikiki. My daughter got the taro milk tea with boba and it was very good, not too milky maybe too sweet for some but exactly the level I like. They weren't busy when I arrived but it did take about 2 minutes for someone to come and take my order, it's because the person making the drinks was also taking orders. Service was straightforward. Ambiance is a food court, I recommend going to get a dessert at kulu kulu to go with your drink. They are famous for their Thai tea and I want to come back to try that. read more

Some Yelpers posted about this cute bear jar and I just had to get one. Mini Monster Cafe is at the food court at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. They have locations in California and Vietnam. They sell coffees, teas, milk teas, fruit drinks and matcha drinks. The hubby and I decided to share a drink because I wanted to get the bear jar and it's huge. We decided on the Sunrise Lilikoi Tea with lychee jelly. It was so good and refreshing. We got it at 100% sweetness and it was perfect for me. It was a little sweet at first, but when the ice melted it got diluted. The cashier asked if we wanted lilikoi seeds in the drink, but we declined. The drink was $5.95 plus $0.85 for the lychee jelly. The bear jar was another $6. The total was $12.80 before tax. You can bring the bear jar back and pay the price of the 24oz. drink. We will be back to try the other drinks. The Thai Tea is next on my list. read more

Cute boba shop located in the food court of Royal Hawaiian Center. The food court itself is pretty clean, just usually quite busy given large amounts of tourists, but plenty of seating is available. I got the taro slush with boba at 25% sweetness in the glass jar, and it came out promptly! Service was ok, it was pretty fast! I thought the drink itself was good overall, I liked the taro flavor but it was too sweet for me despite the sugar adjustment. The boba also was a little off for my taste (unsure how to describe it) but overall it was still chewy and sweet. I thought the glass jar was super cute as well. Prices are a bit steep, but that's to be expected since it's in Waikiki. I'd def be interested in coming back to try their matcha drinks and other items on the menu! read more

Located in the Food Court of Royal Hawaiian Center, Mini Monster Cafe had a short line, but it moved quickly because Rena is a cheerful, efficient worker! Rena was the only worker! She's amazing because she has to be good with money, make the drinks, and be patient, but quick with the customers! Yikes! I wouldn't be able to do this job! I've been to the Mini Monster in Anaheim, California. Our Hawaii refillable jar is cuter! Haha! I got the Sunset Strawberry Lemonade... it was really good because of the real strawberry fruit at the bottom of the jar! The fruit didn't fit through the straw. I used a tablespoon at home and ate the strawberries! This is a takeout type of business. I carried my jar home in my own insulated bag. I love the trendy coconut water/ matcha foam, but unfortunately the one at mini monster cafe could be improved. First off, the added syrup is unnecessary since the harvest coconut water is sweet already. BUT props for using the best coconut water though! Another thing is there needs to be more coconut water to foam. It should be 80% coconut water and 20% foam instead of 50/50. This place just opened up in the food court area in Royal Hawaiian Center and I was so excited! They have a variety of options of drinks and honestly, they all tasted amazing! I'm not a huge fan of the boba balls, but they have amazing bobas! I tried out their Thai Tea and it was just the right amount of sweetness. Sneaky Mini Monster... Come here for the cuteness...return because it's yummy! Yes I couldn't resist finding out this adorable new biz located in the Pā'ina Lanai Food Court located on the second floor in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center which does make it convenient as Mini Monster Cafe does validate parking (1st hour free) with purchase. I was expecting the usual milk tea with boba and probably some pineapple and/or lilikoi sips for the visitors and they're in the midst of Waikiki but was very surprised to see like pour over style, or Coffee Coconut Cloud which is coconut water with whipped coffee or how about Matcha Coconut Cloud which is the Matcha version of that...or what I almost got Strawberry Matcha. The selections are fun and unique though I was getting one to surprise a friend as well so I kept it simple with Sunrise Lilikoi Tea which is cold brew tea with passion fruit...not sure what kind of tea but it was a surprisingly light and refreshing sip. No topping but they did ask if I wanted seeds...lilikoi seeds lol and I opted to not have them which did making it an easier to sip and yes I had to get the cutest jar which is a massive 32oz not your typical mason but mayonnaise-ish sized jar which is an additional $6 but does come with a straw set (regular and boba straw with brush cleaner)...what a wonderful deal! They didn't have cup holders though especially that massive size to be prepared and bring a lunch cooler tote as the struggle was real walking back to the car lol! Whoo hoo! Snow monsters oc is finally open! I've been peeking at their Instagram often since they announced they were opening sometime this week. They sneakily put up a post with white letterings that they had a low key opening today and soft opening from tomorrow. Lucky for me I work nearby and they opened shortly before I finished my shift so I walked over to the royal Hawaiian shopping center food court to take a look. There was no line so I was able to walk right up and order. I chose the sunset strawberry lemonade in a glass jar for ($12) let's be honest tho. I didn't need the jar, but I got it for the gram. Lol. It was also too cute to pass up. I got my drink pretty quick. Just be patient with them as they're still learning. You can always park at the shopping center and get it validated as long as you spend $10 or more for kamaaina (3 hours parking) their garage is kinda tight tho so it's perfect if you have a compact car. read more

Came by and wanted to try ad i was told its a pop up of a popular Cali cafe..: I wish I could tell how it was but was completely ignore by the worker today who was texting the whole time so I moved on. Since this is located in the royal Hawaiian good court I was able to get a drink elsewhere and watch her constantly ignore customers and watch as everyone leaves and the huge loss of business. I took some videos as this was amazing how she acted to busy to communicate or acknowledge any customers. read more
