    Thai Coffee and Strawberry Lemonade
    Vivian T.

This is an actual hidden gem!! Get the mason jar, it's a great souvenir and they offer discounted refills!! The jar is huge. I got the Thai Coffee with Oat milk and asked for extra bitterness and they delivered. I honestly just love the jar and staff recommendations and kindness. Go to the second floor and you'll find it in the food court.

Affordable for waikiki and 16 oz

Mini monster cafe is located in the Royal Hawaiian food court. I had this place saved for a while and in my quest to find my favorite matcha I wanted to give it a try. I got the 16 oz lavender matcha, it was just the right amount of sweetness for me (a lot of matchas are too bitter for me) and the lavender was subtle and not overpowering. I also thought $6.50 is a very good price for 16 oz in Waikiki. My daughter got the taro milk tea with boba and it was very good, not too milky maybe too sweet for some but exactly the level I like. They weren't busy when I arrived but it did take about 2 minutes for someone to come and take my order, it's because the person making the drinks was also taking orders. Service was straightforward. Ambiance is a food court, I recommend going to get a dessert at kulu kulu to go with your drink. They are famous for their Thai tea and I want to come back to try that.

Located in the mall; The Waikiki Açaí was refreshing, with fresh fruit and honey; pretty presentation!! The Vietnamese coffee was bomb. $25 for both items.

Solid boba spot in a prime location. Just towards the left of the food court after taking the escalators to the second floor. They also have cute glass cups for $6 extra which isn't too bad given the tourist location. Pretty average cost for boba shop bottles. Jasmine Milk Tea w/ Boba - they lessen the sweetness by adding cold brew apparently which is interesting. boba had a decent chew but could use better marination for flavor. Jasmine tea was present through a calm, floral taste.

We came here pretty much the whole time we were here for our Trip. ordered the Thai coffee and the Haupia coffee. Also tried the Mac nut latte as well. The haupia coffee is our favorite. I recommended this one. It's located at the food court. About a ten minute wait for coffee.

This food court gem is great! I got the sunset strawberry lemonade and it was fantastic! I like my teas and lemonades and this place did not disappoint. It wasn't too busy but I can't say much because it's located in Waikiki and in a food court which is just a recipe for craziness! However overall the service was quick and fantastic,. If you're in the food court craving a quick drink you should stop by here!

We ordered the lilikoi tea in a jar and it was delicious, definitely refreshing, staff was friendly and welcoming.

Coconut matcha is one of my favorite drinks. Coconut water with a light matcha foam on top. Mini whips up the foam fresh and I requested no sugar, which they complied. This is absolutely delicious and thirst quenching. Their whole menu looks inventive and I would love to try some other drinks. Great service. It's located in the food court. Casual Please come and create your own experience.

Some Yelpers posted about this cute bear jar and I just had to get one. Mini Monster Cafe is at the food court at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. They have locations in California and Vietnam. They sell coffees, teas, milk teas, fruit drinks and matcha drinks. The hubby and I decided to share a drink because I wanted to get the bear jar and it's huge. We decided on the Sunrise Lilikoi Tea with lychee jelly. It was so good and refreshing. We got it at 100% sweetness and it was perfect for me. It was a little sweet at first, but when the ice melted it got diluted. The cashier asked if we wanted lilikoi seeds in the drink, but we declined. The drink was $5.95 plus $0.85 for the lychee jelly. The bear jar was another $6. The total was $12.80 before tax. You can bring the bear jar back and pay the price of the 24oz. drink. We will be back to try the other drinks. The Thai Tea is next on my list.

Taro smoothie and Mac nut latte

Super sweet hardworking bobarista! Mac nut latte is a lil sweeter. I do like the macadamia cream. The taro smoothie is not too sweet. Light and good! Their pins, charms and stickers are cute!

Located in the food court of the Royal Hawaiian Center. This place quenched my need for a caffeine fix. Service was quick and helpful. Not sure what to get, I ordered the Mac nut latte at their suggestion. It is currently an exclusively unique drink at their Hawaii location. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

    taro slush with boba
    Angela H.

Cute boba shop located in the food court of Royal Hawaiian Center. The food court itself is pretty clean, just usually quite busy given large amounts of tourists, but plenty of seating is available. I got the taro slush with boba at 25% sweetness in the glass jar, and it came out promptly! Service was ok, it was pretty fast! I thought the drink itself was good overall, I liked the taro flavor but it was too sweet for me despite the sugar adjustment. The boba also was a little off for my taste (unsure how to describe it) but overall it was still chewy and sweet. I thought the glass jar was super cute as well. Prices are a bit steep, but that's to be expected since it's in Waikiki. I'd def be interested in coming back to try their matcha drinks and other items on the menu!

I usually go for their classic matcha soft serve without any add-ons and it's so good. On my most recent visit I tried out their guava matcha. I was between the strawberry or guava, and they said that their guava was a top seller. I saw that one of their seasonal drinks had a strawberry cold foam, and asked if I could add that onto my guava matcha but unfortunately they were out of the strawberry cold foam but I feel like that would be such a good combo. The drink came out super quick after ordering and I drank up the matcha almost just as quickly!

I noticed that UberEats type of delivery service were picking up orders consistently throughout our time here. We ordered the Strawberry Panna Cotta, thinking that it was a parfait dessert or served on a plate. Though when the gentleman taking our order asked for the sweetness level, we knew it must've been a drink. And it did not disappoint! I've never had anything like this before. It was the perfect blend of strawberry on top, not too sweet, not too sour and the panna cotta smooths it all out from the bottom up through your straw. The gentleman working there was very friendly, very kind, answered all our questions. One being that they do not serve food/desserts here anymore because of the shelf-life and unpredictability of people ordering these items, I get it. He truly seems to love his job and it shows. Walking each order out to everyone, whether they're waiting inside or outside the shop, he's hustling, not sauntering around. And in between, he's straightening the stuffed animals on the couches, so that they look presentable. It's the little things that count, and I appreciate that. Nevertheless, we will definitely be back to try other flavors!

The mango flavor tasted either artificial or extremely diluted. The color was very pale--I could barely see that signature yellow/orange mango hue--and the mango flavor itself was almost nonexistent. The coconut base and sago pearls were fine and pretty standard, but nothing memorable or exciting enough to make me want to order it again. My husband got the fresh watermelon smoothie. You could tell the watermelon itself was fresh, which we appreciated, but the drink was very watered down due to too much ice. After just one gulp, it felt like it turned into mostly ice with very little juice left. He did like that it came standard with coconut jelly, which added a nice texture and sweetness. Overall, the drinks were okay but lacked strong, fresh fruit flavor, especially for the price and expectations. If they reduced the ice and intensified the fruit base, these drinks could be much better. Probably wouldn't rush back, but could be a quick stop if you're already at Ala Moana and craving something light and cold.

For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a coconut latte and then ordered a blueberry malasada while my father went with a custard-filled one. At Maleko, the malasadas are pre-made but not filled until you order which I think is a smart move. I first tried my blueberry malasada and thought it was good. The dough was light and fluffy and the filling had a great flavor. As for my coffee, I have to agree with other reviews that the syrup made it overly sweet. I still drank it, but I definitely would have preferred something less sweet. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again for the malasadas.
