I was craving Taro Milk Tea, so I decided to come to the Waipahu Location. First Impression; I liked the atmosphere and the modern decor of the place. First Impression of Service: Not so great. It was busy but it should not take a ridiculous amount of time to make 1 drink. I waited 10 minutes for someone to take my order and another 15 for my order to be finished. The other Teapresso Bar's I've been to around the island we're busy but at least we're efficient and got out drinks really quickly. When I ordered my drink, I asked for 50% sweetness. Because they took so long, I had right away. I finally had a first sip of my drink and it tasted so powdery and potent. YUCK! Plus it tastes like it was 100% sweet than 50%. This is the first time I've been let down by a Teapresso Bar. I usually love this Teapresso location but this would be the first time I've experienced bad customer service. My boyfriend walked in and no one greeted him. As he ordered and was ready to pay, he asked if there was applePay. The worker had no facial expressions whatsoever and just said "no," that gave off a rude vibe. As he got the drinks, I looked at one of them and realized it was not filled as much as a regular drink should be??? I mean it's fine if the drink isnt filled all the way to the top but it was really terrible. First time here & my drink was SO delicious, I'm already planning to get another tmr morning staff was really friendly greeted us right when we walked in & they all thanked us on our way out - I hardly ever experience that much appreciation from any business. I came here during their soft opening and everything was perfect, not to mention the owners are the sweetest and most considerate people ever! Their drinks were always consistent during the soft opening and grand opening. But after they received new hires, the quality of both, service, drink quality and boba quality has dropped significantly. One time, a few weeks after their grand opening, I ordered a 75% Jasmine Milk Tea with boba and light ice. When I received my drink, it was bitter. So I asked the baristas if they could kindly fix it, but every time I drank the sample they'd reach out to me, it would taste the same! The girl who was making my drink wasn't mixing the classic syrup when she kept adding into the drink! There was 150% sweetness and I noticed the sugar was just hovering on the bottom of the mixing cup, because she wasn't mixing it! So I had to get the only drink they knew how to do. A Teapresso Milk Tea.. I was so disappointed. Through the times that I did try to give them another chance, it would always be the same issue with sweetness. But the issue that bothers me the most is the quality of the boba. When they opened initially, their boba was PERFECTION. It was springy, but soft, not mushy and good bite of subtle sweetness. As this location continued to grow, the boba got more and more mushy. It almost reminds me of the boba quality you'd get at a Jollibee with their Pearl Coolers. It's not pleasant. A side note, I love grass jelly. But their grass jelly isn't made properly, it's supposed to have a soft jiggle, even softer than the custard topping. But theirs is hard, no softness whatsoever. Grass jelly and custard are popular boba toppings, especially in Japanese and Chinese style boba shops. Really disappointed, especially when the baristas call you "weird" when I ask for both toppings in my drink. They're weird for not knowing it's a thing. Whatever is happening during training, I think needs to adjusted. I hope they fix these issues soon. We need more good boba places on the island. read more

Four solid stars for Teapresso Waipahu! My go to has been Rainbow tea house but I've found a new favorite! So convenient to be in Waipahu because it's very near to me! The Teapresso milk tea here had to be some of the best milk tea I've tasted. Every order is freshly brewed and made to your liking! They have lots of varieties of tea to try. Organic blends, coffee and different jellies and toppings. Teapresso milk tea being number one i have it a shot and I'm hooked. This place is in a pretty busy parking lot but there's a lot of parking so that's a huge plus! The staff here are very friendly and are willing to remake a drink if you're not satisfied. Of course being you pick the sweetness and toppings it should be A ok when you get it. Samples are always available and can be made if you want to try something but are not sure. I asked about the viatnamese iced coffee and they made a Sample for me to try. It's very bitter and strong if you're looking for that extra boost! Stop by Teapresso if you haven't. Love love love! The owners are so sweet. The hokkaido milk tea with sea salt foam and the owners keep me coming back. I am so happy Kapolei has a legit boba place that serves boba with milk tea, not the usually honeydew powder stuff. My brother is also a regular and comes almost every week. They have a self serve popcorn machine and fun games and free WiFi. It's a trendy environment that is welcoming. 10/10 recommend! read more

Young staff that looked like they hated their jobs. They weren't knowledgeable of their menu when I asked for suggestions. Their menu is a bit confusing. Their brown sugar, milk drink is posted under the tea section as if it's the "Brown Sugar Milk Tea" but it's not. My milk tea was just a $5 cup of milk and no tea which they got my order wrong. Mentioned that this is not what it was supposed to taste like and was told that tea is NOT added in the drink. UGH! I paid ANOTHER $5 to get it correct and she forgot to put the Boba. read more

The 3 stars is relating to the delivery of the drinks. I did it via grubhub. Placing an order was easy. It stated it would be delivered from 2:45-3:09. Got a notice that it was running late. Driver had a hard time locating my address but didn't bother calling for directions. If it wasnt for the Live app we wouldn't have known that he drove pass. Ended up walking to his vehicle. It's my first time coming to this place and first impression is okay it's a bit noisy but it's tolerable. I ordered and gotten my drink and decided to stay. Since I'm waiting for my laundry to dry from the laundromat. Within 10 mins of sitting inside the noise escalated from the costumers on the other end they were yelling and laughing at the top of their lungs. I do understand that it's a place to hangout or to chill but damn! make sure other people are comfortable too to stay. Regarding the drink, I order and KitKat Frappe and it's okay and gave me the shi*s. Lol I don't think I would come back and chill at this place or order the same thing but they have lots of drinks to choose from the menu. I am sorry to say that my experience here today was probably the worst experience I've had at a food establishment in a very long time. For anyone who knows me well, I am not the type of person to get upset easily over food and drinks. On the menu, under the "Signature Milk Tea" section, it listed Seafoam Green. So that's what I ordered, I could have said "Seafoam Green MILK TEA" but I just assumed that it would come out as a milk tea because it was under the signature milk tea section. So, admittedly, that was a mistake on my part. So, when I received my drink, I noticed it was just plain green tea with Seafoam on top. So I look at the girl a little confused and question it. Then, I followed up with "I thought that this was supposed to be a milk tea?" She said, "No, you ordered it with plain green tea." So then I say "I ordered it as a Seafoam Green, which is how it is listed on the menu." And all I get in response is a blatant "I'm sorry". Meanwhile, my straw breaks while I attempt to poke through the cover, and she just says "You want a new straw?" At this point I'm irritated and I'm not the type of person to ask for any type of handout or any kind of free thing. So as she continues to explain, I just wanted to get out of there and just said "It's fine..." and left. I have been in similar jobs (I used to be a barista) so I understand. However, it should be a general understanding that if a customer seems unsatisfied with what they received, it should be a priority to do something to make the situation right, instead of just "I'm sorry". Also to top it all off, there were a ton of kids inside the shop, many of whom didn't have any drinks in hand. A lot of them looked like they were just there to abuse the free WiFi. So if you're trying to enjoy a nice time with a friend to catch up, this is not the place, especially around 2/3pm. They do however make great drinks, so I do suggest going to any of their other locations. I have not had any issues at any of the other locations - all of the staff are nice. So, I do encourage you to make a hard pass on this one and go to the next closest Teapresso. read more

9/22/2021 Ordered 2 avocado smoothies with lychee jelly. In the smoothie were granulars of the avocado skin, measuring in size of about 1/64 to 1/16 on an inch, that was visible from outside of cup. This is a very convenient location close to my workplace where I can escape from the madness so that I can get some refreshing milk tea or fruity flavored iced teas. Parking is pretty limited, but if you arrive before or after the lunch rush you'll find a spot somewhere in the lot. I like that that we can earn points for free drinks by entering our phone number on the FiveStars loyalty program touch screen system. There's lots of tables to sit at. There's a shorter table in the back where it looks more ergonomic for little children to sit at. The drinks are made fresh with real brewed tea. They make their boba balls nice and chewy (that doesn't sound weird at all). They also tend to get busy around when school lets out around 2 PM and the middle school and high school students start filling the place. read more
