Really !! Good !! For the Fried Cat fish and fries Tasted fresh and delish . They were loaded with fries and I couldn't stop eating . Mine didn't come with any sauces or lemon so we had to ask but other than that it was very tasty and I'd def recommend .

This is the best food I've had in a long time. I was a little nervous because I wasn't sure how the honey on the chicken would pair with the macaroni but it was delicious. The service was fast and the food was super fresh. I can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu.

Been a fan of Tease since they were in Oakland. When I heard they moved to Public Market I had to try it out on a good Sunday. People were around placing orders, that makes me excited that people still supporting. Ordered on a kiosk which I liked because I know I have full control of my order. The person was there to answer any questions. Ordered the brussels sprouts which were a bit heavy on the vinegar. Then I had the honey fried chicken and garlic noodles. The chicken was dry not juicy or very flavorful. Now those noodles!!!! I will be back ASAP for those. The garlic was perfect and I think it had cheese on them, 20/10!! Wings were crispy and flavorful however the fries tasted like paper. Ended my meal with a cherry lime frozen lemonade which was tasty. Overall my meal was 8/10 would recommend

The food from this restaurant is so good. I loved the garlic noodles and the shrimp the most. I got two different kinds of shrimp. One of my orders came with sautéed shrimp and the other came with breaded fried shrimp. I have to say the sautéed shrimp were amazing. They were so big and full of meat. The fish was basa and it was just okay to me. It wasn't horrible, but it definitely didn't steal the show like the shrimp and garlic noodles did. Their fries were okay as well. They were very skinny, but seasoned well. The customer service was awesome. The employee was patient and answered all of my questions which I greatly appreciated. Also, the ambience of where the food was served, which was for the culture on a taco. Tuesday was amazing. I have to say the music made the food taste even better. I would definitely recommend some of the food items to others and will surely be returning myself.

The Lemon Pepper Wings were seasoned to perfection! I love how easily the meat pulled away from the bone with just the right amount of crispness. I also tried their Caesar Salad. The portion was quite hardy and paired well with the Lemon Pepper Wings.

First time at this location but overall good experience. Customer service was great, ordering process was quick and easy, and the food was good. The Cajun fish and fries and the wings and fries were both flavorful and filling. It wasn't too busy when we first arrived but by the time our food was ready, the line started to form.

Within the 1st bite I said wow. This was delicious and filling. Customer service was awesome as well. Can't wait to try more on the menu

The Emeryville Public Market has lots of options but if you're craving Creole/Cajun goodness, look no further. While you self-order, staff was friendly and asked if there were questions. The wait will be worth it once you dig into your meal which was a very large portion I didn't expect. The Crispy Cajun fish did not disappoint from the crispy breading to the succulent fish. The garlic noodles were rich. This is part of a busy food court so seating will be at a premium. My daughter saved our seats while I queued up.

The food at Tease Southern Kitchen is remarkable!! I had the garlic noodles and garlic crab! Fresh, tasty, and an explosion of flavor that I was not ready for!! Generous portions and excellent service!! This is not a place to skip over! The menu is extensive and does not disappoint!

I stopped by Emeryville Marketplace to get something to eat. This place looked like the best choice, and I was right. I had one of the chicken sandwiches, it was really good and a nice size not small at all . I could barely finish it because I got full,l because of the fries added. It came with Cajun fries, and the portion nice! I don't eat fried food that often, but this was a good exception. worth it. I also got one of those iced drinks and let one of the workers pick the flavor for me. It was hella good too. For the price, this was better than the other places I've tried here, and it tasted good too. I recommend . Tnx Tease!

Got their Mac and cheese and goodness was it salty. We took one bite and couldn't take another. It was pre made so unfortunately couldn't be fixed. Had to dump it. What a waste of $15

The wait staff was excellent, keeping our glasses filled and entertaining our baby as he was trying to make everyone smile. The charred eggplant gumbo was delicious, adding the rice directly into the pot for maximum flavor while keeping the rice moist. The grits were the star of the show in my opinion, with smooth texture and flavor that popped and made me want to take anther bite. The greens tasted like my mom's when she would go pick them in the summer of my childhood. The chicken was prepared two ways, the fried, was crispy and juicy, with a hint of that hot grease. The roasted chicken was moist and the drippings added another layer of flavor that made it feel homemade. We definitely wish we had room for dessert and we want to come back for a brunch service.

Then grandma ("server") brings the food, she's got a bit of a less than pleasant attitude though the service is overall fine. Nothing tastes like you'd expect it to, and that's where things get interesting. For some, this will be a highlight. The flavors are bold and elevated. For the hoppin John and fried green tomatoes and okra this was applause worthy. For the cornbread, the jidori chicken, the greens, and the chicken and waffle the flavor intensity was overwhelming in an unpleasant way (for me). The BBQ shrimp, sadly, albeit for a redemption worthy sauce, was overcooked. That being said, my husband was cleaning plate after plate, so I have to say there are palates that Burdell is sure to please. Where they left both of us hanging though is the birthday "celebration". Their approach is what happens when grandma decides "you're getting kind of big, hunny" and puts you on a diet. A plate, a candle, and a notecard to accompany a $200+ check, I had to dock a star. Everything about the place screams special occasion, and birthdays deserve some love. That being said, after recovering from my shock, I did drown my sorrows in the peach cobbler and almost had to forgive them. It was just like grandma would have made it. In sum, I wouldn't make Burdell my special occasion location of choice, but if you'd like fine dining with some surprises (some good, some not so good) and are looking for a feast full of flavor, it might be worth a try.

Of course me and the bestie had to grab brunch before we headed home. Was a bit thrown off when booking via OpenTable as it comes up as Haus of Chefs, but when I got the concept of hosting local chefs and rotating menus all was smooth. We got a few shareables and entrees and everything was so good. S/o to tik tok for putting us on to some amazing food. We ordered the boudin balls, crab stuffed shrimp, peach cobbler waffle, and catfish/ grits. For drinks, we had the brown sugar mint julep and madame butterfly. My fav items had to be the boudin balls, catfish / grits, and brown sugar mint julep. Presentation was so cute. Add a flower or herb to my drink or plate and I'm yours. Everything was so flavorful, paired nicely together , and wasn't too much. Portion sizes were on point and no need for condiments because sis seasoned the hell out that food! The ambiance is definitely brunch vibes. You can tell it's a local favorite as people were so chill about coming in and just enjoying their meal. Seating includes table and bar seating but no matter your area the service was on point almost little to no waiting and everything was freshly served ! Did I mention they had the jams in rotation. Again, who was on the aux because I need the playlist?! Prices for menu items were reasonable and worth it. I had a little moment when I realized the chef herself served us our plates and checked into see how everything was going. Like come on how cool was that! Overall, great experience and yes I'll be back for a dozen boudin balls. Big S/o to our servers/ bartenders Ashlee and Kia for the hospitality and customer service. Keep up the good work! If you in the Oakland neighborhood stop by and try!

I'm not going to lie, I been checking the site waiting for them to bring it back lol. Soon as I saw it, I had to order through DoorDash, and it did NOT disappoint. The fish was crispy and seasoned right, not greasy at all. The wings were juicy and full of flavor, and them pork chops? Tender, seasoned all the way through, and cooked just right. Now the sides? Just as fire. The green beans had flavor, not bland like some places be doing, and that mac & cheese was creamy, cheesy, and hitting for real. You can tell they put love into this food. Portions is solid too. They not being stingy at all. Definitely worth the money. I'm glad they brought this back because yeah... I'm running this order back again real soon.

The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because I can't bring myself to agree with the price of their breakfast sides compared to what you get. & it may have been some months but they used to fill both sides with grits. Seems like portions are getting cut for Togo orders maybe but prices are staying the same. For 3 slices of thin xtra crispy pieces of bacon (actually two slices and burnt pieces) it's $8.25+ I remember thinking it was insane so I never added any extra meat and after going recently I was reminded why, my order came out to $27, when I opened the side of bacon I was disappointed. I believe the quality and quantity should better match the price. Otherwise I'll gladly go buy a full pack of thick cut Oscar Meyer bacon for less than what they're charging for 3 slices and just add it at home lol. it's tough for business owners and consumers out here so while I understand price increase, it should still make sense for the consumer. Still love this place down. Just won't be paying for a side again.

Mom was just going to eat it, insisting it was fine, but then our server came over and took one look and said "yeah that's definitely rare". At our server's insistence, it was sent back and it was more medium, but it was tough. Not much flavor either. - Fish and chips: Also overcooked and tough. - Shrimp: Same, overcooked and tough and the pesto pasta also lacked flavor. - Ribs and tagliatelle were "ok". The only passable entrees, but far from being spectacular. You may ask why we didn't complain to our server. Well, first, we never send entrees back. Second, how do you even send five out of eight entrees back?! After my mom's steak returned medium and it still wasn't good, why bother? Our starters: buffalo wings, fried calamari and truffle fries were decent enough, but after that it was all downhill. We all passed on dessert. I don't think we've ever had a family dinner where we all complained so much. Looking at the most recent reviews, it looks like our experience is not an isolated one. The prices are not justified for what it was. $51 for a steak, $42 for a pork chop. $15 for a mocktail is steep even for a fancy restaurant, which Townhouse is not. I am not opposed to forking over money for food and drink, if it's good. Almost $500 including tax and tip down the drain. The service was fine.
