We stumbled onto this place after a killer mid-morning walk by the Bay. We had skipped breakfast, so we were totally starving and needed a quick bite before our next appointment. Luckily for us, while most of the stalls at the Public Market weren't even open yet, Paradita was ready to save the day! We ordered the grilled pork belly on salad, the mushroom empanadas, and a passion fruit drink to wash it all down. Side note: their cocktails sounded incredible, but at 10 AM, we figured it was a tad too early to start day-drinking, lol! The food was absolutely stellar: The Grilled Pork Belly: Incredible. Super tender, not overly fatty, and packed with flavor. It sits on a tasty vinaigrette salad, and the potatoes on the side were executed perfectly--nice and fluffy on the inside with a perfectly roasted skin. The Mushroom Empanadas: These were unique! Instead of the typical heavy, deep-fried style, they use a flaky puff pastry for the shell. The filling was savory and so delicious. Alright, I totally underestimated this Peruvian restaurant. We ordered the Half Chicken for about $19 as of May 2026, and one thing we definitely didn't expect was how massive the portion of fries that came with it was. And these fries were good fries! They were super crunchy on the outside, but soft and moist on the inside. I could honestly eat these fries for days. And the portion size, wow, it was huge. This dish could easily feed more than one person. Yes I get it that at the end of the day it's still just half a rotisserie chicken, and you could probably get something similar at a much cheaper price at places like Costco etc., but honestly, considering the location, this felt like a pretty decent deal. There's several restaurants in the Public Market that sell sweet potato fries, and I decided to try Paradita's. Sadly, I felt they were too soft and soggy and not crispy enough. It might partly have been because the fries had been steaming in the takeout box, but even then, I know it's possible to make them crispier to compensate for it. It came with a spicy sauce, might've been sriracha and mayo. I see they do have veggies saltado and quinoa flan on their menu, though, so I may try those next time. read more

My friend and I stopped in the public market in Emeryville. There were several little booths with different types of foods to choose from. There was quite a variety to choose from. We finally decided upon the Peruvian restaurant. The place like all the others was rather small. There were only about four tables, but it was still comfortable. I tried the pork roast sandwich that also had sweet potato on it. It was absolutely delicious. The combination of the flavors were really good. I definitely will have another. We stopped into this spot at the E'Ville Public Market with big appetites after a nice long walk along the water. The staff and management were incredibly kind and gracious with our special requests. We ordered the Aji de Gallina with yucca fries and a salad that had an amazing passionfruit vinaigrette. I still think about that salad... it was perfectly dressed and I wish I could recreate that vinaigrette at home, or at the very least buy it by the bottle. The marinade on the chicken was mouthwatering and when I had some of the salad it came with in the vinaigrette it felt like a flavor bomb in my mouth. We were very indecisive on what we wanted for lunch so we decided to go to the Emeryville Public Market for a variety of options. Found this Peruvian spot and it did not disappoint! We sat at the bar next to a happy customer which was refreshing. The aroma of spices was making me hungrier as the bar is in view of the kitchen. Wow the Paradita Eatery, located in the Emeryville Public Market, does nothing but impress when you smell the amazing food and taste the delicious eats that take your taste buds straight to the streets of Cusco, Peru. The service is fast and delivered with a smile. We shared a few things on the menu but the Adobo Arequipa stood out with its beautiful colors and diverse, rich flavors. Inside public market is a Peruvian restaurant, while it doesn't sell ceviche it sells lomo saltado, something other Peruvian restaurants in the bay don't have. This place also sells tacos and dog friendly bites, so I would say I qualify as a fusion rather than authentic. I had a traditional lomo saltado, it was delicious. I probably would say If you ordered some of those things in a taco I'd feel like a fajita. Place sells Peruvian beer and other spirits, kind staff and salsa music. You'll get a buzzer to let you know when to pick up your food. Seating at 2-tops and 4-tops or at the bar. Bonus: they offer breakfast on Tuesday - Sunday, 11 AM - 2 PM. Get this, bottomless mimosas are $22 Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They give you 90 minutes to do your damage. I'm curious to try the bowls, skewers and rotisserie chicken sometime. Haven't been here since before COVID and so happy it's still here at the Emeryville Public Market. So many good things here but my most favorite dish I crave is the Arroz Chaufa which is Peruvian fried rice with pork belly. It's slightly different than before and can't figure out what's different. I know they put the sauce on the side now instead of drizzling on top and maybe the rice is not as fluffy and full as before but nonetheless still so delicious. Just be careful parking your car there cuz I've gotten my car broken into and they have many signs warning it's an issue there. Still hasn't prevented me from going there for my Chaufa cuz it's that worth it. I've been to Peru before and honestly I think I enjoy the Peruvian food at Paradita's more. Paradita Eatery is one of the restaurants at Emeryville's Public Market. It sits on the Eastern side of the complex and has direct exterior access. The space is setup partially as a bar and partially as a light casual restaurant. They do a great brunch! We get the breakfast sandwich, which is Applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese and two eggs with rocoto aioli followed by a side of mix greens salad with feta cheese and fruit cup. Brunch also features a bottomless mimosa. But watch your clock! There is a 90 minute limit! Parking is easy. Lots of parking in the parking lot for the Public Market across the street. I grabbed a quick lunch here the other day in the Public Market and I'm so glad I chose Paradita Eatery! First, located in a food hall, it did have it's own dedicated restaurant space and wasn't just a vendor amongst the crowd. I asked for whatever the most popular bowl was and promptly was served the lomito al jugo - and holy heck was it delicious. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, it was perfectly sauced, and was just really delicious! It was served with stir fried beef tenderloin with tomatoes and red onions, on a bed of rice.
