Teaspoon has been open for about a week now with their grand opening happening just Yesterday. I've stopped by 3 times so far and I'm a bit torn. On all my visits service has been great. Cashier and baristas are super friendly and attentive, but I will say, it gets pretty slow when they are busy. Of course, I fully understand it's "only" been a week and they're still working out the kinks, but as an outsider it seems like they could use an extra one or two sets of hands. Aside from the grand opening day, they had two baristas making drinks and it took 15-20 minutes for my order to be prepared. On my first visit I tried the Ube Coffee something or other, I believe it was a special and not on the regular menu. The drink looks beautiful but once you mix it, the coffee is so strong that it takes away any ube flavor. You're left with just a sweetened coffee with a subtle taste that can't really be distinguished as ube. The coffee itself was still good but wished it had more ube flavor. On grand opening day we tried three drinks - my favorite of all the drinks is the Lychee tea with Lychee jelly. A bit sweet, sort of bitter, it's almost like a Taiwanese style sweet tea and I loved it! The we tried the assam tea which, to explain it plainly, it's essentially a milk tea. Good but nothing crazy. And the last drink was the taro boba with taro chunks. The taro itself was velvety and lightly sweet but the taro chunks were pretty big and somewhat dry even after soaking in the drink. They aren't quite bitter but just bland like pasty potatoes, maybe more for an acquired taste. And the last two drinks I tried are the Thai Tea and Matcha Royale with oat milk. The Thai tea was fantastic and one of the better Thai tea options in the area. The matcha however came out really bad. I'm not sure if the matcha wasn't brewed or mixed well, maybe it was a bad batch, or maybe my choice of oat milk threw it off, but it was overly bitter and "forresty" in flavor. Now, I love a good, strong, bold green tea but this just did not taste right to me. I won't mind trying them again and definitely hopeful for better experiences but at least I've found a few drinks I enjoy so far! read more

Teaspoon was never special to me when I lived in NorCal. It was always okay. However, back in SoCal, I don't know what is different, but I freaking LOVE this location! It's the cutest shop hidden away in a busy plaza. However, there's somehow alway parking available. I have been here so many times now and it never fails. The quality still remains unbeatable in the area! The manager (or owner) is always so nice, and has the best customer service. I can tell she cares a lot about the shop and each drink she makes. My go to is the Jasmine Green Milk Tea with either almond pudding or boba! I tried the High Mountain Oolong Milk Tea today, and it was absolutely heaven. It was the perfect balance of the bitterness that can come with tea, and the sweetness that comes from their sweetener. I feel like you can order any drink here and it will always be good. I tried their macarons before too AND I loved it, especially the chocolate one. Perfect balance of texture and sweet. I highly suggest going here! read more

I was in the shopping plaza and came across this hidden gem called "Teaspoons" they specialize in Boba and Tea drinks. I stop by because of the beautiful sign outside that caught my attention. The sign has pictures showing the seasonal specials so I decided to give them a try. I tried the flamingo which was a combination of watermelon juice and passion fruit juice and it was actually really good. I am not the person to try Boba as I don't like to chew when drinking a beverage. Nevertheless, this particular option was very delicious and refreshing on this hot day. This is definitely something that I will try again, this location has open me up to wanting to try other items on the menu to broaden my horizons. We happen to be in the area and tried Teaspoon. I had the black iced tea, Earl Grey with Boba. The tea is freshly brewed and it was so so so good! We also had taro blended, also most excellent! My favorite boba spot opened up in Santa Clarita! I first tried it back in San Mateo in NorCal and fell in love. Place is standard and clean! Never crowded when I go on weekends. I usually get non milk teas so I got the seasonal ruby fizz. My partner gets the milk teas so he got the new ube coffee latte. Both were very good!! Not disappointed at all! If I could give this place 10 stars I would.. BEST boba in scv hands down!! Tried this place not expecting much & ended up leaving wanting more. This cute boba spot just recently opened up here in scv & I have to say it does not disappoint. I love that this place has sooooo many options to choose from, so many that I couldn't choose just one & ended up ordering multiple drinks lol. I ordered the Classic Thai Tea, Dirty Ube & Matcha Royale with strawberry with honey boba. All drinks were 10/10 for me but if I had to choose just one it would easily be the matcha royale with strawberry. This drink was so satisfying and filled with flavor, don't sleep on this drink. The classic Thai tea came in a close second place it was not too sweet but had just enough flavor to stand out & leave you feeling refreshed. Definitely go with the Thai tea if you're looking for something with a more subtle sweetness taste. The Ube was my husbands personal favorite, he loved that it was mixed with coffee, he felt it gave it the perfect twist. Honey boba also did not disappoint I'll definitely go with this choice every time. Service was friendly & the drinks came out fast. I ordered a Rose petal oolong T-Box to bring to a potluck. Lots of people loved it and commented on how good the tea tasted. It comes with cups, straws, and toppings and is good enough for around seven people. They'll fill half the box with ice to keep the tea cold right before you pick it up. There's only about 0.66 gal of tea and I feared it would run out too fast, but the guests I served it to were mindful of others and used ice, so it lasted long enough for anyone who was curious enough to get it. I knew 85C had a tea box like this but discontinued it because not enough people ordered it. I hope lots of people order the T-Box so they'll keep this around. read more

We tried three drinks, the silky mango, dirty ube, and the black sugar assam milk tea. Based on the name and the picture if the drink, the black sugar assam appeared to be their take on brown sugar boba, but both the boba and the tea in this drink were pretty bland. The silky mango on the other hand was super sweet. Unfortunately these two drinks have set sweetness and can't be adjusted. I would definitely come back for their coffee as it seems to be consistent between other Teaspoon locations. But for $6+ per drink, its hard choosing this place over other SCV shops because of their limited sweetness and customization options. read more

They have oatmilk as a dairy free option and you are able to adjust your sugar and ice level. Unfortunately, they are unable to give no ice, only regular or less. The cup also only comes in one size and they provide bamboo fiber straws. The interior is very bright and clean and their prices range from $5.50 to $7.25. First off I want to say the owner of this place is very sweet! She made sure everything went smoothly during the soft opening. I was able to try different drinks before the soft opening. I absolutely loved the lady bug drink which is a passion fruit/kumquat fruit drink. No artificial flavors/syrups/powders are used in their drinks! They're all natural with their fruits, teas and cane sugar! Their fruit drinks are very refreshing. I am super picky with fruit teas since most boba places uses cheap artificial syrups.
