Terrible. All I asked him to do was to open a Thumb drive and print two pages. I explained I wasn't able to open the document and I needed a hard copy.. Fast, responsive, knowledgable and reasonably priced! The hinge on my wife's laptop screen snapped off (apparently a very common issue with recent Lenovo laptops). I took it in to Tech 2U, the gentleman there knew right away what the issue was and why it occured. He even suggested an alternate fix that would avoid having to order an entire new screen/back panel, and would ensure the hinge doesn't snap off again in the future. We were having fits with our network connectivity after we installed a new sonicwall and network switch. We spent hours trying to figure out the problem to no avail. We called all the support groups (switch, modem and sonicwall) and spent hours with them, but none could solve the problem. So, we called TECH2U as our last resort. Took my pc in for repairs. It was blue screening while gaming. Tech2u charged me $450 to upgrade to windows 10 (which was free to do myself at home). My pc kept blue screening until I had someone else looked at it. We found the gpu cooler was not making proper contact and causing overheating and the blue screening. Simple fix. Told tech2u and they refused to give me any money back or make it right in any way. I've since upgraded my mobo/processor and it now tells me I need a key for windows since the free upgrade they scammed me for didnt come with a key. Thanks a lot tech2u. I have an apple computer and requested a tech to help us with some network issues. They told me their fees and after the initial shock, we opted for an hourly rate since we had a bunch of little issues. The first hour would be $229, and then $80 each additional half-hour. Way more costly than I have paid in the past when I've used iGuys. I normally go to iGuys and Spencer specializes in apple, he really knows Apple computers very well and is very efficient with his time as a result. This time Spencer wasn't available so unfortunately I had to look around for a quick visit elsewhere. So we called another company (Tech 2 U). After the initial shock of their fees, I reasoned it might be stuff they could handle real quick if they specialize in Apple. The tech who came out seems to specialize on pc's not macs, I believe. It took a long time to work on the network, which is in part related to the issues with our network system. We now have other issues that we didn't have before. I feel bad writing this review because the tech was very polite, likable, and helpful in many ways. I just think if Tech 2 U sent us a tech who specializes only in Macs the visit could have been much quicker and more successful. We spent just under $500 for the visit, and are now asking ourselves how we might fix the issues we are having. read more

I can't speak to service, as I have not used them for repairs. I'm reviewing the fact that they don't offer printer repair because "printers are so cheap people just replace them." Well if it takes $50 to fix an $80 printer, and would prevent an otherwise excellent printer from going in a landfill, then why not offer the service and let people decide if they want their printer fixed or not? Maybe I'm missing something. At least they were honest about it. UPDATE: The owner contacted me and explained that hardware repair on printers is outside of their usual focus so that they charge a higher repair rate, and on top of that you have to pay for the actual parts that are malfunctioning. I also learned that e-waste disposal DOES recycle electronics, so it's not quite as wasteful as I thought. I appreciated that the owner took the time to explain this to me and follow up when he had a customer that wasn't pleased - seems like they are truly interested in customer service. I had an amazing experience with Tech2U. This was actually my first time coming in with my gaming computer I've had for 6 years. I wanted to fix my computer but I had no idea how to do it myself. The technician Chad was super friendly and kept in contact with me telling me all the problems my computer was having and how to better improve the quality and experience of it. Chad was very professional in what he was saying, he was honest in what parts I actually needed to buy and replace. They did everything with ordering the parts and replacing it, letting me know how much the price was and if I wanted to go through with it.
