I dropped off my computer at Techncially Nerds about a week ago because it was infected with a virus. Apparently this particular virus has been going around lately for the past few years. When I came in, Brian was telling me that he sees this quite a bit and in fact it's more of a scam than anything. He went on to tell me that these "companies" are all over the world and they use these programs to steal credit card information from people. Good thing I took it in, I was about to be swindled. Anywhoo, I asked him how long it would take to get the computer back, and he said that I could have it back either that day, or the next. Depending on how bad it was. Low and behold, I had it back that very next day! Another thing that he told me was that they give all virus removals a 30-day warranty, so if there was another virus that got on the computer (even if it wasnt related) then I could take it back within 30-days and have it fixed for free! This blew my mind and sealed the door for any future business with them. I will always take my computer to Technically Nerds. read more

I called 6 different places in Lubbock to see what they would charge to clean out my lap top and make it run better. They did quote the lowest but that always makes me wonder if they will do the best work. I decided to take a chance. The staff was incredibly helpful when I went in the store and greeted me with a smile. They answered all my questions then and there and told me they would have it ready within 24 hours. Other places said they would have to keep it a week. I had a question about a receiver that we are having problems with as well and they said they would take a look at it, however I did not take it up there. They said they would be happy to come to our house and take a look at it NO CHARGE. So I said great but I dont get off work until 6:30. That wasnt a problem for them either. When I got home they were here to meet me and even delivered my laptop good as new the same day! I have never been more pleased with a company. They definitely go above and beyond. ok, ok, nobody is perfect all the time. it sounds honorable that the owner, brian is wanting to make it right. it's a fairly new company and your input helps them to help everyone. i had them help me.... i was a l w a y s happy with their work and with their personality......very patient and caring. he even came to my home to work on my printer and a computer...... and even helped by reading instructions for an electronic hand held translating machine so i can take it in my foreign travels. i hate all the directions and learn better one on one. that's what they did. a happy camper in lubbock. go there for your service....they are very nice and are very fair with their prices and seem very honest. trust me, i'm a doctor !!! The staff at Technically Nerds was fast and effecient. I brought my computer in thinking there was a problem with the tower when the problem was really with the monitor. They were completely honest with me and advised me to purchase a new one as opposed to getting it repaired by them. Not everyone would have done that! Also they didn't even want me to charge me but I insisted to pay them the diagnostic fee at the very least. Other computer repair stores such as Best Buy charge a base fee of over $100 just to look at your computer. Nerds is great because they charge based on what needs to be done. I thought my computer was not worth salvaging when it started going out on me. I took it to them and they cleaned it up physically and digitally. I asked what it needed for gaming and they said if I replaced the power supply and video card it would work great. They asked what game I was planning to get and they found me an amazing price on both. They found the newest video card that included the game I wanted. They got it all and installed it in less than a week. I easily recommend this business and their staff. read more

Brian and his staff are very helpful. I had my screen on my iPhone 4 replaced. When others issues arose Brian stayed up way past working hours trying to fix it and even delivered it to me where I was. He offered my money back even though the screen was replaced and that wasn't even the issue, and also ordered in parts that I didn't even know were gone to get it back to as good as new. This place is wonderful! Whenever my computer gets a "bug" I always take it to Technically Nerds. Brian and Jared are so friendly and are so quick to help me. When ever I call them they always have an answer, even when it comes to Facebook! There's been a couple of times I've been in there for some advice and they didn't even charge me, even after I asked how much. Went back to Technically Nerds with another question about one of my other computers. I was in thier store for about 30 minutes and they were with me the whole time. They fixed the problem and they didnt even charge me for it. I know they wont always provide free service, but it was nice to see a business that tries to do the right thing ahead of making money. read more

I took my MacBook air to these guys when it wasn't working. I am very pleased with their service. They are friendly and had my Mac working in just a couple of days.
