Prosser Piano wouldn't sell more a floor model digital piano or the last digital piano of a certain style since they "can't order more". Super weird for a piano store. Went to Ted Brown and 2 gentleman sold me this great digital piano that was a FLOOR MODEL. They even took it apart for me to fit in my car Thankful

I must say Gary was exceptional at helping me feel like I was getting the exact guitar for my tastes.

The others made it sound like this was some huge repair job. JP got it done and the bill was amazingly low. Highly recommend this guitar guru, he's my go to guy now for projects like this, check out his web page, he's been at this awhile and has done some amazing work on guitars. Thanks Jack!

I have done guitar setups and basic repair for 20+ years and a good setup did not alleviate the buzz. Jack gave an estimate turnaround of one week. 10 days later I inquired about the status. Nothing has been done yet. 2 hours later I was called to come pick up the guitar. The guitar had been setup, but has not been leveled or crowned, because Jack forgot to do it. Another week goes by and I'm called to pick it up again. Jack's apprentice told me that he, not Jack, did the fret level, which surprised me, but I assumed he was capable. I did expect Jack to do the repair, however, because that's what I was paying for. $180 out the door. The action had been set high, but I figured "Maybe Jack like it that way", so I took it home and set it up. 1.5mm on the high E, 2.0mm on the low E, slight neck relief. The same frets buzzed, in the same way as before. I am confident that no fretwork was done. I called Jack and told him the problem was still there and that I had expected him to do the job, not his apprentice. Jack said that he did the level, so did his apprentice lie? Did Jack? Jack told me that my action (1.5-2.0mm) was too low, then demanded that I bring another guitar to him to prove that the problem was the guitar, not me. I did not get a refund. I later took the guitar to another repair shop where I was told that a competent fretjob would have alleviated the buzz where it was occurring. Look, I've seen Jack's guitars in his shop and they're beautiful. I have no doubt that they also play beautifully. But, as far as my guitar was concerned, something didn't happen right. Either Jack's apprentice did the job (which I didn't pay him to do), or Jack did the job poorly (which I payed him to do well), or it didn't get done at all (which is theft). Not saying he isn't a good luthier, I just did not have a good experience whatsoever.

After trying several used pianos, none of which had the sound I wanted, I played 3 different Kawai models--used and new--to compare how they sounded and their key action. I don't know how anyone can buy a piano without playing it or being able to compare it with others. I told Rick what I was looking for and he showed me the used pianos and the brands I was interested in, mainly Kawai and Yamaha. He was encouraging and helpful. I didn't feel pressured for time or to buy. Ultimately I chose a new Kawai 200. Rick and I agreed on a price and my piano was delivered within a week by the piano movers that Prosser uses. Fortunately Rick had prepared me that the piano would get increasingly out of tune until it was ready to be tuned 6 weeks after acclimating to my home. After it was tuned, I don't think I could have loved its sound more! Any of you with an instrument you have loved can understand how hard it is to finally give it up. I tried pianos at Tacoma's and Seattle's Prosser's but put the decision off for about 2 years because I was afraid I'd regret my purchase, that I wouldn't love its sound at least as much as the piano I'd played for 40 years. It's been a year and I couldn't be happier with my new Kawai 200! I made the perfect choice at Prossers and suggest the store's wide selection of new and used pianos where so many choices are at your fingertips literally. Celia

I brought the full amount and everything. Well the old man on the floor told me everything that is on the floor is not for sale. Which was weird but it's very showroom-esque in there so I went with it. Well I saw a boxed up Kawai C49 which wasn't sold. So I told the guy, I'll take that one. He then tells me that he can't sell that one because it's the last one in the store. Now I'm officially confused & felt a little weird. I've never heard of this and he said "the last one always gets used as a floor model, I can't sell you this" and then tries to sell me a Roland. I went to Ted Brown music across the street. Found a really nice Yamaha digital piano for $1800 with stand and bench & it was the floor model. Ted Brown Music even took it apart for me to make sure it fit in my car. I'm a pretty popular musician in the Pacific Northwest & am officially telling everyone to run from Prosser Piano in Tacoma.
