Came here after attempting and failing to secure a table or lane at The Gutter (Saturday night, we should have known!) and it turned into the perfect night. About 6 of us arrived with our party reach 9 folks by the end of the night. Our server was incredible and attentive, grabbing a chair for a friend that walked in before I could even turn around to ask. For their cocktails I had the This Is Not An Espresso Martini and First Come First Serve, both great. Also ordered the loaded nachos (doubled toppings for +$5) for the table, and those were an absolute crowd pleaser. Enough so that I also ended up ordering 6 honey-sriracha chicken wings that also were impressively good. I feel ripped off. My friend and I had corn chowder last night. Corn chowder is supposed to be thick, creamy, and packed with potatoes, corn, etc. Teddy's was thin, watered down, had VERY little corn/potatoes etc., and was sweet to an icky degree. It tasted like someone poured the liquid contents of a can of industrial corn into a pot and added a few kernels of corn and pieces of potato. For $13, it's an insult. read more

I stepped in here a few weeks ago to kill time before a dinner reservation with a friend. Also, it was raining outside and cheap beer seemed ideal. But boy was I surprised at both the fine selection and the deals. Everything is half-priced from 4-8pm Mon-Fri. Which makes each drink like $3-4. But that includes everything on tap, bloody mary's, well drinks, wine, half-priced disco tots, and $1 oysters. Their beer selection was surprisingly impressive and they had animal trophies on their walls. It made me feel like I was almost home with both prices and the snarling bear mounted on a plaque. It's nothing incredibly special but I feel like this is a great neighborhood bar for an older crowd in Williamsburg for prices of when we were kids. They also have other cool specials. Mondays - Mystery Beer day; Tuesdays - Two for One on Burgers; Wine Wednesdays; Tex Mex Thursdays; Fish Fry Fridays; Sunday - Half Priced Apps. Industry Mondays from 8-closing, Comedy nights, Trivia on Thursdays, Dj nights on Fridays, and Jazz on Sundays. That's a lot to take in but a nice variety of entertainments. We came here for breakfast Sunday morning (6/12). There is plenty of outdoor seating! What to get: the FRENCH TOAST. Amazing. Comes with caramelized bananas and nutella. So freaking good. It was dessert for breakfast. My friend and I shared this in addition to our own breakfast orders. What we ate after the french toast was underwhelming. I had the biscuits and saw mill gravy. A little too heavy on the salt and the poached eggs were way overcooked. The gravy overpowered the rest of the flavors. The bacon was good though! But overall, the biscuits and gravy breakfast from Allswell (also in Williamsburg) is much, MUCH better. My friend ordered the breakfast plate. She always gets eggs over medium but these were overcooked (seems to be a reoccurring theme here). Also, she said her eggs were greasy. Ughhhhhhh. Thank god we had some french toast beforehand. Our server was so so great. She was attentive and friendly and personable. Loved her. They offer the usual alcoholic brunch beverages as well but we stuck to water and coffee which was good. Overall, not a terrible choice for the neighborhood especially because there was no wait to be seated. Stay away from the eggs though. read more

Nice bc you can bring you dog here, they've got little booths outside and there's heat lamps above. Wait can be pretty long but they'll text you when your table is ready. Staff were great! Got the guacamole & chips and rosemary biscuits to start. Then the hangover burger. The starters were fantastic however the burger had too much going on, sauces inside weren't great and things would fall out while taking a bite. My cousin and I stumbled across this place while in Williamsburg. The ambience was super chill. Our waitress was polite and very attentive. They said it would be a little wait to be seated, but we were seated within five minutes. The lobster Mac and cheese was very creamy and tasty with a enough lobster meat. Went there last night and had a few drinks and some food. The place is really cute, authentic and a good atmosphere overall. Only giving it two stars because the wait staff was totally unengaged and kind of rude. They treated us like we were doing them a favor visiting their establishment and then the lowest tip percentage was 20% when their attitude didn't even merit 15%. Teddy's is a consistently great neighborhood spot. The service and staff is always a pleasure to see. We are regulars and have tried almost everything on the menu. I'm drooling now thinking about it. My favorite dishes are the eggs benedict, breakfast platter, the crispy chicken sandwich (on pretzel bread), and the buffalo chicken wings. They raised the price of their lunch special to $11, but it's still a great deal for the area (sandwich, fries + beer). I wish the food was cheaper since it's simple bar food but it is always delicious and the place is beautiful. They did a great job with outdoor seating. And the staff is always friendly and nice to my dog :) Especially loved coming here on St. Patty's for a corned beef sandwich and a Guinness. Stumbled upon this gem on our way to the 29Rooms pop up! So glad that we did. It's a nice, charming location on the corner of a quaint block. The townhomes are all warm brown colors that matches the brick exterior of the restaurant and the fall-colored trees. We had to get a window seat & take it the natural beauty! The place was being ran by someone who seem to have wok there half of his life. He's a charmer with a great personality & acted as the Bartender, Server & Host simultaneously with ease! A bit overpriced but it was good. My husband had the Teddy's beef burger and he said it was ok. My daughter and I (she's 1) shared the pulled pork sandwich and even though it was a bit spicy she seemed to enjoy it. My 5 Star rating is for Susan and Sandra. The best and most attentive hostess who did everything she could to accommodate us and our waitress who was super nice. The bun was above average. 2. The beef inside was pretty good (As waitress asked: I got mine medium rare and it was that) 3. Topping: Egg + Tomatoes + Lettuce + Sliced Pickles on side. But Awesomeness is is the Pulled Pork topping. It was delicious...perfectly sweet and soft and flavorful. Those mini side potatoes were soft and flavorful. I came here with a coworker and their child and I was so happy to see they are very child friendly by the coloring book and crayons given to her at the table and the sipping cup her juice came in. Very adorable. The happy hour was great but the menu lacked creativity. They had burgers but they charged separately for the fries. The kid menu was more inviting with the tater tots than the adult menu. A steak sandwich was $16 Without fries. The steak sandwich was way too sweat and was stuffed with sweet onions which made it not enjoyable. The wings were mediocre. The fries were nice. I've been going to Teddy's for many years and have been here SO many times I lost count. Was afraid at first of the new ownership at first but I've actually enjoyed the new menu many times. The nachos now are incredible actually and I LOVE the Bloody Maria. Food is still good but the last two times within the last month, the service SUCKED. They can't keep up with even a hint of a crowd and one night I was greeted by a "host" that took "casual" to a whole new level. What a slob and not friendly at all. Wow such high reviews? I'm shocked! I walked in and asked for a table of 2, the maitre'd gave me a dirty look, rolled her eyes back slightly and took us to a table in the back. The waitress took forever to come get our order (about 15 min, yes I timed it). I didn't get cutlery until after all my food arrived and needed to ask another waiter for it. I ordered a salad and a burger medium rare but the burger arrived well done. (I was pressed for time so I did not return it.) Another waitress sat down to eat at the table next to us which I don't mind, but she brought over the restaurants cordless phone and was yapping away like a teenager next to us. I couldn't find the waitress when I needed the check. I waited for 10 min no sign of her and walked to the front of the room to retrieve it. Bad food, bad service. read more
