This place looks like Bennigan's when you first walk in (dark with lots of green paint??), but we went for Brunch and I was pleasantly surprised at both the food and atmosphere. We sat in the back room, and i would recommend that if you're not loving the bar & grill atmosphere (relatively quiet and a lot less dark). I had the Jamaican French Toast with mango, pineapple and strawberries. Fantastic. Not too sweet, not too soggy, just exactly the right balance of toasty coconut with that little bonus crunch, and the fruit added just enough tang.The serving size was perfect, too - so many places give too little (Egg) or too much (almost anywhere else). The service was prompt with everything, but especially coffee refills, always a plus in my book. read more

The environment is laid-back, friendly and relaxing...good spot for meeting friends, gathering with family, or coming alone and sitting at the bar. If you're a fan of sidewalk dining you can people watch here during New York City's warmer months. The menu consists of salads, burgers, and fried foods. The food is OK, but nothing to die for...mixed drinks during dinner hour in the dining section could be stronger for a place with "Bar" in the name. This Bar & Grill is the oldest continually operating bar in Brooklyn. It is located in Williamsburg. It is a trendy area in NYC. I have visited there with my friend I met at a hostel where we stayed. I found the grill when i was watching "The Intern", a movie launched in 2015. We ordered two tequila and some bottle of beers. We enjoyed chatting with locals while in there. if you are a traveler, you should stop by in this bar once at least. read more

I had a decent experience here. I came with three other people and we sat outside. The ambience was good and the block that Teddy's is on is quiet, so it's a great place to sit in the evening and chat. We came during happy hour too, which has $4 draft beers, which is nice. I had a veggie burger, curly fries and a ceasar salad. The veggie burger was good as were the fries - skip the salad. It was watered down and tasteless. My sister had the house salad and it wasn't great either. She loved the sweet potato fries though. My dad got the salmon filet, which was definitely NOT worth the $20 that they charge. The service wasn't great. It took a long time for our food to arrive (the restaurant was pretty busy though) and when it did arrive, our waitress realized that she didn't put in the order for my dad's salmon, so we had to wait an extra fifteen minutes for that. She also didn't really check on us, which would have helped. Despite some cons, I'll probably be back. This place is on the pricier side (at least for me: $20 entrees, $10 - $15 appetizers) so it's good for a special occasion. Just don't get the salads. read more

I frequent this establishment every Sunday after work for the past month and sometimes random days throughout the week. Last night around 9pm myself and two friends decided to grab a quick bite. And out of all the the times I have ever visited this location. Last night was the absolute worst! And enough for me to never come back. Our server whose name was never told to us when he came to serve our table. Decided that it was a great idea to follow us outside and ask us why he felt that we didn't tip him enough. He was Very defensive and disrespectful. By telling us that what we tipped although he " understood " that it was up to our discretion of what we chose did not sit well with him. After spending over 200 dollars inside that establishment last night And nearly the same every time I frequent there. It was unacceptable. He spend more time talking to another waitress that was also working that shift then tending to my table, he spent more time taking shots with another guest and two other servers than he did tending to our table. He brought two drinks to the table without straws. Our wings were soggy which isn't normally the case because that's what we're always there for. But he wouldn't have known that because he DIDNT ASK. We had to place two other orders for drinks with another waitress as well as a gentleman that brought out our food. Who then also rudely corrected us by telling us that he was not our server and that we had to place our orders with him. I never leave reviews because I don't believe in messing with someone's job or hurting an establishment. But this, this was not ok and I will make sure to address it not only here but to the management because this place gets a lot of my business as well as my recommendations to my coworkers in the dept. who have now also started going there. Which quite frankly may not be anymore all because of one server and his lack of professionalism and poor TACT. He should feel embarrassed at how he carried himself and how he chose to try to handle that situation. And this establishment should feel the same. There is absolutely no way to justify his ignorant behavior. It was pure tasteless and tacky. It was your actions sir and lack of professional service that got you that tip last night. And next time put the shot glasses down because I watched you take 3 shots and interact with your tables more. Not just specific ones. As well making sure that when you try to trash talk a table to your coworkers that the people at the table can't hear nor see you. Smh read more

It is smaller than the main room, more intimate, and has a table right by an opening outside, yet it is slightly hidden by trees so you don't have to worry that people are staring at you while you eat. Well....,the Bartender Lady was terrible. Me and a collage friend came here on a Friday night! LOUD BABY crying at a table..,while trying to watch the WORLD SERIES! Never once did the Bartender woman return to re-check on me and my friend while we had Beer..,and Shot's of Vodka. We had to flag her down repeatedly to get service. She did nothing out of the ordinary other than a typical bartender woman service. FOOD = 5 We ordered the Nacho's, with Pulled-Pork, and Black Been..,with Cheddar cheese...,however they were NOT crispy nacho's. Absolutely nothing we ate had even a touch of seasoning on it. My biggest fear to going and spending money on new restaurants because I'm used to what I know. Well, the Yelp app as my bible, I blindly acquiesce and tap my happy feet towards Teddy's when it appeared as the #1 result for Buffalo Wings near the Bedford stop. I'm a bit co-dependent like that... In the process of getting my wing fix, I learned a couple of things about Teddy's: the staff is incredibly friendly, the wings aren't half bad (Sriracha sauce on anything will always make me happy), and they have a hidden fireplace (that burns real wood!) that'll tickle your insides during the biting cold of winter. The little nook isn't all that easy to find, so be sure to ask your server if you'd like to imbibe fireside. A quality find that I'll likely stumble upon again soon! read more

when valissa W moved from new jersey to ohio this past august, i was bummed. when i learned that she had plans to move to australia in december, i was happy for her, sure, but super sad at the prospect of not seeing my girl for a year's time. so when V told me she was gonna be in nyc for thanksgiving, i couldn't get on a train fast enough! after a joyful reunion at union square, we rode the L train out to williamsburg where we met up with her boy nate. we were cold & hungry...looking for somewhere solid, diverse and not too hipstery. enter: teddy's. it has the ambiance of an irish pub, with offerings beyond your basic meat & potatoes, tho i barely glanced at the regular menu as the massive list of seasonal specialties had my full attention. but first up - drinks! while i went with a standard pinot noir (at $10/glass) and valissa a strongbow cider (for $6/can), nate's jalapeno margarita, of which he was so kind to share a sip, was well worth whatever they charged for it. back to food.... the mushroom bruschetta app came with 3 pieces, perfect for our lil trio. i found the bread to be a bit too thick and over-toasted, but tasty nonetheless. friday nites are known for their all-you-can-eat fish fry. apparently all nate can eat is 2 plates full of fish & [steak] fries. ok, ok, i kinda sorta helped with the fries.... i'm hard pressed to see a beet & goat cheese salad on a menu and not order it, so that decision was essentially made for me. i wasn't sure it was gonna be filling enough with all the drinking we had in store, so i was grateful for the opportunity to go halvsies with V on the salad and a portabello cubano sandwich (served with curly fries). both were excellent choices and reasonably priced. if i find myself back in brooklyn, i'd go back here for sure, tho with so many other places to try, it's admittedly doubtful. read more

You know I walk by this place all the time. For years and years actually. I think it's been here since the nineties. Imagine that. So I guess it was time I give it a try. Walking by we saw the best table on the corner was open. So the first thing we asked upon walking in was, can we sit over there in the corner, by the windows. Response was something along the lines of "Oh, I don't think so... that's the owners special seat." But it's empty I insist, we'd love that table. "Ok, I'll go check, she says". Few minutes pass and she returns, "Ok, I guess we can *let* you have that table...". Umm, really? I'm silent and just smile. If only she knew I was a yelper. haha. So we walk over to the table. It's 11pm at night mind you. As she places the menus I say, "Oh we're just going to have drinks, if that's ok". Then she looks really irritated, like she had already given us this wonderful gift. Shakes her head and says "fine I don't care". Wow, this gets better by the minute. Shortly thereafter a more friendly waitress comes by and takes our drink order. Didn't seem to bother her that we were just ordering drinks, like half of the other tables in the place! I was worried at first that only the bar section would be open as it was 10pm. We walked in and there was a live band playing in front, then the bar, but the waitress took us down a small hall, past a line of people that looked at us like, "hey, who are they? and where are they going?" to a room in the back with tables where three other couples/groups were dining. I enjoyed the decor in the dim light, and could see they open this place up in the daytime, and there is a small patio right outside as well. Anyway, to the food! Mi favorita ordered the Punjab Spinach Dip, which was interestingly good. I had the Cubano, which had mi favorita asking for another bite, and another bite, and another... I can't blame her though, it was so good Fidel Castro would have been asking me for a bite. I probably wouldn't share with him though. Unless maybe he gave me one of his t-shirts or something. Anyway, that sandwich was bangin'. I'm wishing I had one right now actually... I also had the spicy spiral fries on the side. They're not really spicy, but good. And what's a meal without dessert? Unfathomable is what it is. We shared the hot fudge covered brownie and asked if ice cream could be added, to which the waitress obliged.
