We tried the tacos and nachos and shared everything, and it was all amazing. That was also when I discovered the cabeza, which I absolutely loved. The asada tasted the best, I would only get asada next time. Their sauces are on a separate counter, and there's plenty of options. I just hate how the plastic containers are by the register, and they're super tiny. Super inconvenient. No indoor seatings, outside is limited.

Teddy's Cocina (or as we lovingly call it, "Teddy's Tacos") is hands down one of the best taco spots in Pasadena! We stumbled upon this hidden gem about six months ago, right across from Pasadena City College on Colorado, and it's been a favorite ever since. On our first visit, we were greeted by a friendly man behind the register, who turned out to be Teddy himself. He was incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home. The spacious restaurant, decorated with fun Mexican-themed lucha libre characters, set the scene for what would become a memorable dining experience. The menu at Teddy's is packed with authentic street tacos, each served with onions and cilantro, and a variety of meats to choose from--chicken al pastor, carne asada, barbacoa, you name it! The flavors are incredible; we were instantly impressed. Teddy even brought us complimentary chips and guacamole since it was our first visit, which was such a kind gesture. Since then, we find ourselves coming back regularly, especially for Taco Tuesdays. My fiancée can't get enough of the jamaica, and I have to say, the churros are dangerously delicious--try them at your own risk because they're highly addictive! The service is consistently great, and the place is clean with plenty of seating. It can get busy, particularly at lunchtime, which speaks to how fantastic the food is. I've tried most of the taco joints in town, and I can confidently say Teddy's Cocina is the best. If you're craving amazing tacos in Pasadena, give Teddy's a try. You won't be disappointed. Finally real TACOS great food. Been waiting over a year for this place to open, honestly thought it may never. But straight to the point the food is delicious, and the drinks are refreshing. Plenty of Taco options for every type of palate while still being authentic. They also have plenty of special through the week to keep you coming back. Really wish covid was not around because the way this place was designed screams come and relax and enjoy your meal. This place was meant for dine in and to come by and watch baseball, basketball etc. Everything inside including the staff just says welcome. Plenty of beer options and fresh dink options. My wife and I tried the watermelon juice which was perfect and refreshing not to sweet and filled with sugar. This place is an absolute gem! Every time I come to this taco spot in Pasadena, I am blown away. The food is incredible, and the owner is truly the highlight of the experience. He's so charismatic and welcoming, always making you feel like part of the family. You can tell he's passionate about what he does, and it shows in every single dish. The food is consistently out of this world. They really outdo themselves every time I visit, and it just keeps getting better. The mahi taco? Oh my god, it's hands down the best creation of all time. Perfectly seasoned, fresh, and just pure taco magic. Let me start off with the ambiance. Calm and clean. This is truly family owned with the family working their own recipes giving me a flavor bomb in my mouth. The food is packed with deliciousness that you can tell was slow cooked to perfection. All the meats were Michelin star notes. The one thing that absolutely made my taste buds go wild was their rice. This is something I've seen by most Mexican restaurants make as an afterthought. But here, they put the same care as they would marinating their meats. Absolutely the best Mexican rice I've ever had anywhere and as a chef, I honestly couldn't match up to it's perfection. I was overjoyed with the trio of potato tacos, guacamole and chips, refreshing agua fresca, and a pair of sugary churros. After a long day at the Huntington Library, this meal was the perfect pick-me-up. The friendly service and delicious food made for a wonderful dining experience. The staff, ambiance, and (most importantly) food are all top notch. I ordered their jalapeño taco and three street tacos -- carne asada, chicken, and al pastor. All of their tacos were delicious, but their asada was especially great. They have a unique mango salsa that goes well with the tacos (if you like spicy). I grew up in the neighborhood and saw so many concepts come and go at that location, never lasting very long at all (1, maybe 2 years. Yet Rosarito survived there for well over a decade, before they moved to their current location. Over the last 33 years I have tried pretty much everything on the menu, and every single dish is fantastic. On this trip I went for Al Pastor Tacos.
