I believe this is one of the original trucks. I went with my mother in law who has been coming here for decades. The red sauce is hot! The Birria was delicious, lots of flavor, good portions. Horchata was too sweet / chalky for my taste Recommend the combo plate. Not a huge fan of the location, would definitely go to one of there other locations next time I'm in California

Stand alone food truck w/ seating in a tent area, and I think this is the original truck!

It's ok it was a bit greasy a lot of broth on the torta and needs salt more flavor the salsa on point 10/10. Tacos are not regular nor the tostadas. You want big meal quesadilla and torta I don't know about the burrito but over all I give it a 4. The outside? eh. Do i recommend this? yes! I do.

Maybe next time give me some rice and beans.

What 18$ buys at Teddysredtacos The consomme was still boiling hot when I got at home after thirty minutes. The portion seems a little small for the price I would expect for that price That I would have gotten some beans, Some rice, something. I thought that it came with sides. I thought that the picture on the truck showed that it came with beans and rice. The staff was pleasant. I asked for it to go and they brought it out to me on a plate so I had to ask for it to go again. The wait time was nothing. The food is flavorful and delicious. But by the time I got it home, it had no Crispness to it Whatsoever it was completely limp. I heard they're the best in l.A according to food wars. But I don't know. I feel like for the 20 minute drive I made to find them....It wasn't worth eighteen dollars plus tip (20$) Maybe next time give me some rice and beans.

Glad to finally eat here! Hubby & I came by one night months ago and they were still "getting ready". I don't think they were open yet and we were disappointed. We drove by last night in hopes of grabbing a few Tacos & Consomé. The truck was out and open for business. There was only one couple in front of us. We ordered 3 Tacos and a small Consome with Meat. I think the Consome comes with chips (fried tortillas). It took a little bit to get our order, but it's worth the wait! Even though the area is a little sketchy, it is pretty well lit here and you can go up about 3 steps into a covered patio area to safely enjoy your food. There are a good number of tables. What I really appreciated was the sink with running water & soap! These tacos can be messy with the Consomé, so it's very nice to be able to wash my hands! They offer a Deluxe Plate for $14.55 which comes with a Taco, Mulita, Tostada, Beef Quesadilla, 8oz Broth (Consomé), and Tortilla Chips. It's a great deal!! We have eaten at Teddy's Red Tacos in Venice. They have several other locations. I'm so happy to find their tacos in other places,

So I didn't post my food , says alot I guess lol we stopped by here on the way back from grabbing our tickets for rolling loud and I was skeptical because all the places that sell birria say it's better than everywhere else well let's just say this birria was a 10/10! Service as quick as well my buddy don't like birria so I didn't get to indulge as much as I wanted to but I'll definitely be back to try them out again !

After an afternoon of hunting for rare and dusty whiskies in Gardena, I'm famished and find myself in a neighborhood I'm not familiar with once more. I work off the operative that, if you want to find a good local place to eat? Ask a local where s/he eats. That said, I roll down my car window at a stoplight and ask 2 LA county sheriffs in the vehicle beside me where they like to eat and one asks if I like birria. I say I like tacos, yes... and I have been wanting to try birria-style red ones, yeah. The sheriff says head back towards Independence Blvd and hit Teddy's Red Tacos. I've heard of this small chain and their trucks and think it's a great suggestion. I thank these nice law enforcement officers, flip a U-ey, and head south a half mile to the cool looking Teddy's Red Tacos Restaurant. Inside, I order from a young properly masked lady and the very capable chef "Fortino" sets to making my birria taco and quesadilla dinner. It's quite the elaborate process and, man, I really appreciate Fortino, from his stirring the beef, chopping and cooking the various elements, assembling the ordered foods, plating and serving it all for a fine aesthetic presentation... It takes a hot minute to get my grub but good stuff usually does so I'm encouraged. I carry the food to the outside tables which I appreciate and get down to business with the Nom Nom Nom. Wow, this stuff is good. As in really good. Savory, saucy, stewed beef in a crimson red sauce is used in all their offerings and it comes with a great hot sauce for dipping-- l dig it. I like the fresh lime slices provided for squeezing over the cheese on the open face beef taco. Citrus acidity acts as a counterbalance to spicy and rendered fats in Latin American and Asian dishes. It "cuts the fat," so to speak, and tames spices, and this is no exception here. It's a lovely snack of a meal for a grand total of $8.37, tax and tip included. Next time I'll get the sampler plate where you get one of all five things they offer for $13.99- a quesadilla, a taco, a small mufalata sando, and a couple things I'm forgetting, lol. This stuff is all killer as it's all made of the same core ingredient beef, something Teddy's has labored hard to perfect and make singularly unique. Highly recommend you seek this out at one of the locations springing up around the southland!

When ordering, you'll go up and order your items I always get tacos, but I've heard the other items are delicious as well. You get one free potato per person and I highly recommend grabbing one. Once you grab your potato, you'll head over to the cashier while you'll pay for your items. If you want any drinks, you can order it as well. Once you're finished paying, they have a salsa bar with onions and cilantro and limes. My usual is their Al pastor tacos! It's a tried and true method for me. Note that there isn't any seating, most people stand up and eat or head back to their car and eat on their trunks or inside their car. There's trash cans all around and I believe there are some porta potties. It's a great spot to hit up if you're hungry and need some tacos in your life. Make sure you clean up after yourself. I came here for dinner on a week night and my experience here was pretty good. I had the asada and al pastor tacos with all the toppings and they were both so good and full of meat and heat. The toppings can be spicy for some, so be warned. My favorite of the two was the all pastor which was flavorful and I did like the thinly shaved meat. It was not dry at all and was fresh. I also tried the mulita with al pastor meat and that was also soso good. Cheesy, meaty, and indulgent. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. Unfortunately, they were pretty much out of the roasted pepper and grilled onions at the time I went. To drink, I had the horchata and that was also very delicious. It was huge, sweet, and creamy. I also loved how it was not grainy at all. A good pairing with the rich foods. They also have a good amount of seating at the stand with a long table and multiple chairs. Parking is tricky since its street parking only.
