Clean and very bright/welcoming atmosphere. You can sit on the bar side or the dining room side. Either one will work out great! 10/10 recommend Ted's Old Fashioned to drink. It's so so good. And I am very picky about my old fashioneds. Food wise, the cowboy caviar is the perfect light and flavorful appetizer. I had the shrimp cocktail as my meal, also very good. And split a wedge salad with my mom. Also delicious. Our server, who was the bartender was very sweet and attentive and patient as we were a group that was talking a lot. Overall a poor experience. We entered with a reservation on a Sunday evening. The dining room was sparse when we first began dining, yet service was extremely slow. This continued throughout the evening, and of course as more people began dining. The food was mostly not good. The starter, the nachos, were disappointing, despite the exciting presentation. The chips, which were homemade, were a bit overcooked and not salted. The chicken was dry and unseasoned. The cheese sauce was a bit gritty and thus not creamy (and following the theme, not flavorful). I split the chicken Alfredo and figgy burger with my partner. The chicken Alfredo was very rich and lacking salt. The noodles were cooked well, but, again, the chicken was dry. The figgy burger could have used more Brie and fig jam, and instead was piled with raw spinach, which resulted in an unappealing bite. I would have preferred lightly dressed spring mix or arugula. The burger was excellently cooked, which is why I didn't give 1 star. Unlike everything else, the burger was actually overly seasoned and quite salty. The side of tater tots tasted like they had been fried in old oil and were slightly stale. There was a fruit fly in someone's old fashioned, and overall it was a bit buggy in the restaurant. I could see other patrons having to ask the waitstaff for drinks and when their dishes were coming out. Overall, there was lots of waiting. The restaurant interior is actually quite nice, and they have an interesting outdoor dining area, but until they vastly improve the food and service, I would not return. read more

Upon arrival I was blown away on the ambience of the establishment. Not what I expected to see inside. All the service was great and food was good. My wife continues to rave about the ice tea. We went there for lunch today and ordered the following: Cheese curds with ranch - they give you a decent portion for appetizers and they remind me of the ones I'd get in MN. Bison Jalapeno Burger with tots - the burger was properly done with good flavor, the tots were crispy. Chicken wrap with the side salad with ranch - a good size wrap with a nice balance of ingredients and the side salad was a decent size. The hostess and wait staff were friendly, courteous, and attentive. Overall a good experience and like the improvements the new management made. read more

Our first time here and the service was horrible. As a previous owner of a restaurant you should never let this happen. We saw many parties leave because they waited over 20 minutes and couldn't even get water. Who has the time to spend 3 hours for a lunch . We do love Ted's outdoor seating and we always loved seeing Hannah! The place is very kiddo friendly but not one for your fur babies. They have a lot of ducks and the dogs can disrupt the local wild life. During the summer months you can done on the pond or putter around in a little water craft. The last time we were there the hostess was a bit gruff with a family for asking if they allowed dogs. Again, don't bring your pets! Otherwise pop on in and enjoy a great meal! read more

Stumbled upon this Gem! Ambiance: there are so many seating options. Inside, bar, outdoor seating BUT they also have this dock with with swing chair type table that's beautiful. Surrounded by water, beautiful scenery. I even saw a family eating on a round boat which was really cute. It was a beautiful, sunny, breezy summer day. Service: upon walking in I was greeted with a very nice and friendly smile. Staff was so sweet and knowledgeable. Checked on me a good amount of times even though I was a nice walk away lol. Amazing service! Now let's talk about the food!!! Daily specials on different items through the week. Plenty of options. I went with a "Figgy Burger" and the explosion of flavors!!!!!! I'm writing this from the parking lot because it was THAT awful and I just had to share. We went on a Friday and sat in the bar. Service was slow, but they had a large party coming in that they were prepping for, so I let it slide. The real travesty was the "special". We ordered both the cod and walleye fish and chips. When they brought out our plates I could already tell they were WAY overcooked. They didn't even try to make it look appetizing. My walleye was at least edible, and a few bites were borderline enjoyable, but my husbands cod was, in my opinion, inedible. I do NOT send food back, but after trying a bite of his fish I almost made an exception. How is this a special?! How do you charge almost $25 a plate for charred fish sticks?! Definitely will not be going back, and wish I'd listened to the reviews. Overpriced and the chef does NOT give a sh*t. read more

I hate to say but after giving this place a break for a few months, I was only greeted back with ridiculously slow service on a non busy night. Our waitress was never anywhere to be found and took almost 20 minutes to place our order. We watched an entire table of 8 get up and leave because after waiting 10 minutes, nobody even came by for drinks. It took over an hour and a half from the time we sat till walking out. Boss came a cleared dishes before she took a hint, and she brought me my refill drink with the check.. like girl, we bout to leave. Why bring me this now? Mind you, there were 2 couples TOTAL IN THE RESTAURANT.. why was the service that horrible with no one there, I would not recommend going at any busy time if that is their typical service time. Me and my wife took my parents out to dinner and decided to try Ted's we have driven by but never stopped in. From our initial interaction with the host we got a not so good vibe as if us being Hispanic was an issue. We did have a reservation but that didn't seem to matter. Once we got sat it was as if we were forgotten or no one wanted to take care of us. Once we got dumped on a waitress things got a little better but not much. Staff didn't seem to friendly and drink menu was limited. Food was ok but not worth the constant feeling out of place. We love to explore and support local businesses as we locals born and raised in northern Colorado but we will not be returning and would not recommend this place. Nice place, server was nice but incredibly slow. We were the only table and when we left there were 4. So not busy. My son caught the server writing down our credit card information on a slip of paper. When asked why he was doing that he stated the system was down. WTF?! Ordered the "fish & chips" which was supposed to be walleye - it came out looking like 3 sardines with a bunch of fries. I asked for ranch to go with the fries and never got it. We were never asked how the food was, etc. and the table next to us (who was seated before us) got their appetizer well after we received our dinner order. There was a guy (maybe a manager) who apologized and said they would do better to the table next to us. One beer, one mixed drink (thimble sized = $13) and 2 "fish & chips" = $74 - thanks but no thanks, 2nd time I have had an awful experience here - Long John Silver's would have been better by far. read more

I've never had such a frustrating experience at a restaurant in my life. If you cannot accommodate a large party (14), don't accept the reservation. Requiring us to pre-order our entrees several days in advance would only make sense if that meant our food came out immediately. It took nearly an hour to get our food after our party was sat. Maybe if you hadn't required us to pre-order our food then you would've known who ordered what entree. Taking well over 30 minutes to bring us our checks one person at a time was really the cherry on top. If you're going to take half an hour to bring us the check, at least make sure it's correct and then correct it when we ask you. Instead of refunding the item we didn't even order, thanks for removing the full 6 cents from our bill. I don't understand what and why you chose to run a business this way, but it's not working. read more

Let me start off with that the food is and has always been good! Service and atmosphere needs work. As I said the food really has never disappointed and is great and I highly recommend if you are sitting inside. Here is the down fall. When you have a lake side restaurant with such uniqueness of the water feature and Mountain View's, why would you not put more attention and $$ into keeping this area maintained. Do not sit on the south side unless you want to bake! Literally! There is only one table with an umbrella, the sun shade canopies are broken and hanging off the wall. The table and silverware were so how you would burn your hands touching them! We were finally lucky enough to move to the umbrella table and enjoy our meal but the receptionist closed the door going inside which was broken or locked and neither us or the servers were able to get inside without having to walk around to another door. The kids did enjoy feeding the ducks and enjoyed the tractors around the property! read more

The food was not delivered until about 40 minutes later. I had chicken Alfredo. It was awful. Chicken was cold and the noodles were barely warm. For 22 dollars you expect a good tasting meal. Made a reservation for a boat and 10 minutes before our reservation we received a call that they had to cancel it because the boat was broke down. The grilled chicken Caesar wrap was really good. Very disappointed they don't have French fries. My husband had Four Karat vodka sauce pasta with sausage and it was a little too spicy for us wimpy one-star types. But tasted good. The servers are always friendly and work hard. Big complaint for me this visit though. I looked up toward a table a few yards from us just in time to see a10-ish year old girl leaning over the table top toward her friends. She was wearing a swimming suit with no cover. Her suit was stuck between her ...cheeks. Treating me to a very unappetizing view. I feel bad for whoever sat in that seat after she left.
