The headlights on my Grand Prix were pretty cloudy when I bought it (Feb-2013). I called many auto body shops in the local area. Estimates for headlight restoration were between 150-180 for both. I paid 69.95 at dent works. They didn't come out totally restored, but for 69.95 I was happy with the turnout. I recommend these guys for anyone with light cloudiness on their headlights, anything more/worse, pay the actual body shop their rate or replace the headlights. read more

Today I called Ted to fix a couple of door dents on my '09 BMW 335i. One of the dents was about 1 1/2 inches in length the other was a smaller one on the same door. Ted arrived and I had told him that I did want any holes drilled and he assured me he doesn't drill any holes. Ted took a look at the dents and went to work on them. Within a short time (I know others complained he was too fast, but I don' t care as long as it is done well) he had both dents completely gone. It was done perfectly. I then had Ted take a look at the rest the car and he found 2 more dents that he also took out (for a cost) and again they were quickly gone. Since he did such a great job on the first car, I had him fix a smaller dent on my Boxster rear fender. Again gone. I had Dent Pro come out last year to fix my son's Honda civic, and there is no comparison. They did a dent repair 80% fixed, and Ted did dent removal 100% solution. read more

My car suffered damage to the right-rear bumper while parked. California Dent Works repaired it in less than a day and a half and I can't even tell now where the bumper was pushed in or the side panel buckled! Had two dents fixed on my cars (Honda & 911). The Honda had a large crease in the front fender and the 911 had about 6 little dents on the rear deck. 90 minutes later both dents were magically gone. Not sure how Ted does it, but he does great work. Good prices too read more

When a mysterious dent appeared on the front passenger panel of my car, I called my dealership to get a repair quote and they referred me to California Dent Works- so glad they did! After speaking with their great office staff on the phone, they told me Ted could do "house calls"!! He came to my office parking lot, pulled up next to my car, and went to work (while I went back inside and did the same- no time off needed for the repair, which was so refreshing). I am not an easy guy to please and I am often very critical of work preformed by others. I am amazed at the dents these guys are able to pull out. I had some huge dents/ding all the way up and down the front quarter panel of my SUV from a human being running into it. Never accept anything less than Ted. He and his guys repaired my Audi Q5 that had crumpling of the lower drivers side door. I told myself that there was no way he gets it out. Was very responsive which I appreciate. But these guys are not cheap. Not cheap at all. Check that, they are UBER expensive. Ended up not doing the work with them because they quoted almost 3 times what 4 other companies quoted for the same work detail. I cannot comment on their workmanship but I'm sure it's great quality. I looked up dent removal shops in the bay area and liked all of the reviews this place got. I took my Beetle in to have an annoying door ding removed. I am finicky about my car (ask anyone who knows me) and I was astonished when I saw my car had no trace of that ugly ding once they fixed it. It took about an hr. at the cost of a c-note plus 25. I thought the price was high for ding removal but they took good care of me and my Bug. They even kicked me down a Starbuck's giftcard because I had complained about one of their mobile techs prior to coming to the shop in person. My car looks brand new again and that's what counts. Some damned fool carelessly put a crease near the wheel well of my new Bimmer, and didn't leave a note (wow, big shocker!). Yes, it's just a car, but I paid good money for it. Ted Martelle, the owner, is extremely talented, and after roughly a half-hour's work it was flawless. You couldn't tell it had been damaged. I've used other 'paintless dent removal' services in the past, and, though good, there were still slight imperfections when viewed at a certain light and angle. Brought my car here about a month ago. Had gotten about 5 different estimates and their estimate was the lowest, and they also offered the best customer service of any car repair shop I have ever dealt with. They weren't able to start work right away due to cooks collision in San Ramon screwing me... But that's another story. Only advice I can give is never go to cooks collision if you can avoid them. As soon as they got the go ahead to start, they finished the car very quickly. Faster than any other shop I have dealt with. They stayed in contact with me through the whole process and kept me updated on the progress. The work they did on my car was phenomenal. You would never be able to tell there was any damage to the car. Hands down the best experience I have ever had getting a car fixed! Ted should be called "The Eraser". Five stars does not adaquately describe the job he did on my 6 month old Cadillac XT5. The car had received a dent in the A pillar just behind the top of the windshield from a fallen tree limb. This is structural in the car and the metal is heavy in this area. I told Ted I would be happy if he just made it better. Ted's reply was "I only do perfect". Well it was perfect when he finished. The dent was completely removed and the paint and chrome was buffed to show no residual scuffs. It looks exactly like it did the day I drive it off the showroom. I could not be happier. My car "had" few dents that bothered me for a long time. I once drove my car to top-rated body shop on yelp and they told me that they will have to charge me over $1000 for the repair plus they will repaint the body. Since the paint was undamaged, I decided to go for paintless dent removal and it was much cheaper than what the body shop was going to charge me. I was worried because I have heard that some dent removal companies drill holes to gain easy access to dents but California Dents Works assured me they would never drill any holes. Within few hours, the dents were gone. Seriously, it was amazing. You can never tell if there was any dents. I don't know how he did it, but you have to see it to belive it. Amazing. read more

A Cypress branch fell on the hood and fender of my 2001 gold/clear coat Ford Sport Track during the big storm 12/29/2010. The Hotel in Half Moon Bay settled the claim and paid for a full Cook's Auto Body repair, but the guy at Cooks recommended CDW (Ted). I called once I got the check from the insurance company and Ted repaired one major fender dent $450 and one minor hood dent $150 at my house. The truck, paint, finish looks brand new. I took out my car from the garage the other day and discovered a big dent on the hood of my Pontiac G8GT. I don't know if it happened in the garage or if it happened before I garaged the car 2 weeks ago. I am a fanatic about my cars and extremely particular. I took it to a Cook's autobody shop and the cost was going to be near or over $1,000. I was concerned about color matching, not necessarily the price. A few weeks ago, my husband got into a tangle with a building that did not move out of the way when he was backing out of parking area. When my husband bought home our 2003 Toyota Camry, he could tell I was not a "happy camper" because I am the car washer/waxer of cars. I put a deep gouge in my bumper and a couple of nicks in the trunk of a new BMW, with a driveway gate. Ted inspected a COMPLICATED dent on my car and said without hesitation that he can do it..... Before I go on, I have to say that other so called PDR Experts were nowhere near the confidence that Ted demonstrated in being able to deliver.... Again, since Ted was highly recommeded by Matt (from Rocky Mountain Window Tint), the decision was easy.... Left the car at Ted's shop, yes, he has a nice shop (not just mobile) and everyone there is very friendly..... When I came back to pick up the car I was amazed because the result was beyond my expectation.....
