We had a generally good experience storing our two boats at MasterCraft Lake Powell... until, right…read moreat the start of the busy season when it's impossible to find indoor storage anywhere, we called for an unrelated reason and were told "oh, by the way, we've decided to only provide storage for wake boarding boats from now on, so we need you to move out immediately." We were pretty shocked, considering that we always paid on time and had never heard so much of a peep from them about our fishing boat and vintage wooden boat potentially being a problem. Why would they let us move in in the first place? And, why would we hear about this for the first time when WE called THEM? To make things worse, we live an 8+ hour drive away and are extremely busy, making their pressure to come remove the boats immediately extra awful. Due to the beginning of the busy season we had to call all over town to find a new space. Every boat storage facility we spoke with was shocked to hear about our experience with MasterCraft. Luckily Lake Powell Boat & RV Storage was able to help us out and they've been awesome so far! We totally get why they would want to focus on wake boarding boats since that is, of course, what MasterCraft is all about. But we still wanted to share our experience so that other potential renters know that if you don't have the right kind of boat, MasterCraft Lake Powell is more than happy to kick out renters who pay on time and are good tenants.

If you have vehicle that can tow a boat, I would definitely recommend Buzz Off Power Sports because it is much more reasonably priced than the other companies on the water. When we got to the location, Buzz and Leslie gave us a map and highlighted areas where low water levels were low, which we found extremely helpful and made sure to stay clear of. They also showed us the locations of where we can get fuel and ice. Also very helpful! Those beers can't stay cold on their own! ;) We reserved the Montery 214 powerboat and it couldn't have been more perfect! The boat was in excellent condition, easy to drive, and had a great wave. We went wake-boarding quite a bit that weekend and had to refuel the boat. There's a gas station at Buzz Off, so we didn't have to go through the hassle finding one. Convenience! I will definitely rent from this location again!

If you want to rent watercraft or other water toys for Lake Powell, check around and you will see…read morethat this place offers the best pricing. After you rent from them you will also know that they are great, honest people who treat you right. The husband and wife team of Buzz and Leslie make you feel like family. They are patient when going over the equipment, explaining everything about how to operate them, and they are happy to answer any questions about the lake or the area. We rented two Honda FX-12's for one week in July 2011. They were in great condition, ran strong, and were a blast. The Honda's were on a nice double trailer, and they even offered extra gas cans and anchor bags at no charge. My hitch was a little "tall" for the setup so they provided a lower hitch which worked great. Next time we come back I won't bother looking around for a place to rent my toys, I will just call Leslie and set it up. They are located about 15 minutes from the Wawheap Marina, and 20 from Page. Looking forward to seeing them again soon!!

We had an excursion to Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend and wanted a relaxing place to recharge after all the miles. Great thought...okay place. It was a nice sized room. Too much noise from upper room and hallway. The front desk folks need some hospitality training. I'm sorry you're busy but give each customer a bit of hospitality and common courtesy. I'm sure if this was our only destination and we took advantage of some of the on site offerings, it might have been different. As it was, we were just there to sleep and would have been better off at a chain hotel.

The main thing this place has going for it is the location and the view of Lake Powell. The scenery…read moreis beautiful and the staff we interacted with were genuinely friendly. Check-in felt a bit like standing in a slow car rental line. We waited about 15 minutes while a line formed behind us, and there was a form with disclaimers to sign before getting the room key. Our room was in Building 7. The rooms feel dated, and housekeeping seemed inconsistent. We had 2 bath towels, 2 makeup towels, and 1 hand towel, but no washcloths and no pool towels. The front desk said pool towels should be in the room, but there are none available at the pool itself. Our bathtub drain was clogged, so water pooled during showers, and one of the bed frames had something unpleasant on the fabric that clearly should have been cleaned. Amenities were also disappointing for a property charging a nightly resort fee. The hot tub jets were broken, the water wasn't warm, and it looked pretty dirty. The pools are not heated, so they were ice cold in April. Ironically, the hot tub appeared to finally start working the morning we checked out. Food options on site include the Driftwood Lounge, a breakfast deli, and the Rainbow Room for buffet and dinner (reservations required for dinner). The buffet was just okay -- next time I'd skip it and order an entrée instead. The hot & spicy wings at the lounge were decent. Overall, I gave it 3 stars because the staff were very kind and the views are fantastic. If we stayed again, we'd come with the expectation of enjoying the scenery rather than the amenities.

I called Tyler late at night a reserved the 28' Chaparral boat, and this thing did not let us down! Amazing boat in great condition, has the power and size to take on Lake Powell. You will save a little money and get a nice runabout with an inboard/outboard rather than the cheap outboard rentals at the marina. After chatting with Robert for a few minutes about my years of experience boating, he went over a few things, hooked up the trailer and sent me on my way. To my surprise, he mentioned that he wouldn't be around when I returned the boat and trusted me to drop off. It had been a few years since I dropped a boat in the water and to be honest, it was one of my favorite parts of the day. It truly is like "riding a bike" and I impressed my wife with my boat ramp skills haha. The boat ran strong all day and buzzed the dam, made our way to Face Canyon and then cruised back to Wahweap. Perfect day on beautiful Lake Powell. The only drawback from the rental was the boat was missing a dock line (didnt really care because I just stopped to grab a few things at the store). Also, there was no stereo but like most boat rental spots, they don't rent stereos, they rent boats. I brought a bluetooth speaker and it worked out just fine. I will 100% be renting from them again and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone with boating experience looking to rent a nice runabout and save a few bucks.
