Cry tiger salad and the goyza app

Really enjoyed our away from home Birthday meal for my hubby. He got the Cry Tigar salad and I got the Drunken noodles. The entrees are the winners. Appetizers were not very impressive. The local beer selection was awesome. Really likes the Banana Hefeweizen. Next door is a wine shop. Picked out a 6 pack of beer and ciders to go. Tip top day! Thank you!!

Tee Rak Thai is the story you love to see. Starting at the farmers market and growing into a storefront. The drunken noodles with shrimp are a must. So much flavor and comforting. Somehow, it's impossible to stop eating even when you're already full. It still has that small business charm. Great outdoor and indoor seating!

Wow, TeeRak Thai Restaurant is the real deal. I just tried this restaurant yesterday and already anticipating going back. The food was packed with bold, vibrant flavors. I ordered the khao soi and it was phenomenal. I loved the combination of soft noodles in the soup, crunchy noodles on top, tangy acidity in the broth, perfectly balanced spice level, and the crunchy pickled mustard greens. I only wish they put this dish in a bigger bowl because I felt like I had to be extremely careful digging into it; otherwise I might spill or drop something. My friend got the Massaman curry and a cup of tom kha, and both were just as rich, comforting, and delicious. We also each got a Thai tea, and it was the perfect amount of sweetness without being overly sugary. I think this might be my new favorite Thai restaurant in St. Louis. I highly recommend if you're craving authentic Thai food. I will surely be back to try more items on the menu!

The hostess and server were very kind and helpful when we arrived, and we loved the vibrant decor inside. The umbrellas were a nice touch! We both got noodle dishes: the drunken noodles and the pad see ew. The drunken noodles had a good amount of garlic and flavor. The spice level two wasn't too much for us and added a nice balance with the sweet and garlicky sauce. I usually order the pad see ew whenever I get Thai so I was surprised that there wasn't that much broccoli in the dish. I think more would've helped break up the texture and diversify bites. We'll definitely be back!

Fried rice with shrimp, spring rolls, and the drink- farang

This was on my list of places to try for a while and since the other restaurant I was originally going to wasn't open, I figured why not? I was greeted warmly upon entering and while I was initially sat close to the door, they let me switch tables so I wouldn't feel the draft of each person coming in. The place was decorated beautifully with murals of all things Stl covering the walls. I was promptly given water and asked if I was ready to order. After a few mins, I went with the spring roll for an appetizer and the fried rice with shrimp. Drink wise, I went with the farang. While it wasn't packed per se, there were more people than I was expecting to see. Nevertheless, that didn't deter from providing excellent service. While I was hoping to have my spring rolls out before my entree, everything was brought out at once. I couldn't wait to dig into the spring rolls but after the first bite, I noticed they were extremely hot. Will def let them cool down first for next time. The fried rice was excellent. I ended up adding a little bit of soy sauce but that was all it needed. Although the shrimp was bigger than expected, I wish I could have gotten more than 5 pieces. The drink was pretty good but I couldn't quite put my finger on what I was actually tasting. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. Moving forward, I guess I need to specify that I want the appetizer before the entree, but I would assume that'd be common knowledge. Additionally, I didn't realize that adding a protein to the rice is an additional charge, as most places include a protein with it.

A must-visit for the service alone! Atmosphere: Quaint, visually stimulating, and very clean. The decor and music create a peaceful, trendy vibe. Parking: Plenty of free street parking, but limited accessibility/handicap options. Service: 10/10. The staff turns tables fast but never makes you feel rushed. My waitress was phenomenal, she took the time to explain the menu and went above and beyond when my dish was a bit too spicy for me. The Food: My curry arrived quickly! It was a bit spicier than I usually prefer, but the server brought me an orange drink (Thai tea) to help cool it down without me even asking.

Spicy thai!!!! A long time favorite finally has a store front and they absolutely nailed it. Perfect location with vibrant, whimsical vibe that is just as flavorful as the dishes they serve. A long time gripe I have had with thai food is even the spiciest level is not spicy enough, tee rak brings some serious spice! I got the pad kra pow(i think) which was ground chicken in a savory sauce and rice to pair. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and amazing thai spice. The thai basil shines through offering an herbal complexity thag cuts through the savory garlic. I ordered take out so I only had some brief interactions with workers, but they were all super nice. Bright smiles, infectious energy, great attitude! A short drive from me this is going to be a serious contender for my de facto take out spot all of 2026

Tasteful cornerlit ambiance. Rain light flutters in the navy blue night. We run in hands held, shudders. Couples share a night of spice, of broth, of tea. The menu speaks softly. Pastel colors pool off the page and remind us of a simpler time, a countryside.

Loved the food at Tee Rak! We had dinner there tonight where we tried the Mazaman Curry, Yellow Curry, Pad Thai and Tom Kha. Everything was delicious. Probably the best Pad Thai I have ever had. I love what they have done with the place. Lots of color and some beautiful murals. Our server was very attentive. Get there early as a line had developed by the time we left.

So glad we were finally able to stop in!! I live right around the corner and am so glad we have another great local restaurant to support. I also work remotely some days & was very excited to hear they are open for lunch hours now! Now for the review -- We arrived at 5pm on a very busy Friday night and luckily snagged one of the last tables available-- FYI, make a reservation ahead of time to guarantee you get a seat! We started with the vegetable potstickers which were crunchy, flavorful, and the chili dipping sauce was OUTSTANDING. Not sure how I'll ever be able to try another appetizer knowing how much I loved this one. For mains, I opted for Pad See Ew with tofu as my protein. Pad See Ew is my thai go-to, and this is by far the best I've had in St. Louis. The portion size was so generous I even had leftovers to take home & they heated up very well for lunch the next day! My partner went for Khao Soi curry which came with a chicken leg quarter, noodles, pickled cabbage, red onion, chili oil, and crunchy fried noodles on top. This was outside his comfort zone but he is so glad he tried it! He cleaned his whole plate and could not stop raving about all the different texture & flavor combinations he could make with the toppings in the bowl. The staff was very polite, gave us recommendations since it was our first time in, and made the experience very enjoyable. Cannot recommend Tee Rak enough if you can get a reservation! We will definitely be back to continue trying more dishes on the menu that caught our attention.

Tee Rak Thai just opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant in the Shaw Neighborhood! Crowds of hungry shoppers have lined up on busy Tuesday evenings & Saturday mornings at Tower Grove Farmers Market and Sunday mornings at the Boulevard Farmers Market. Finally! we can find Tee Rak Thai at their new space in the former home of Sweet Art. The opening was Monday and we arrived at 4pm as the doors were opening. It was the perfect time to arrive - there was plenty of street parking in front, we had our choice of seats, and we got to see all the dogs getting walked before dinner. THE FOOD: Find signature market favorites & more! * Noodles: Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Drunken Noodles, Tom Yum Noodle * Entress: Crying Tiger Beef, Pad Kra Pow, Thai Fried Rice * Curries: Khao Soi, Yellow Curry, Green Curry, Massaman * Soups: Tom Kha (my favorite), Tom Yum Talay, Tom Yum Goong * Salads: Som Tum (papaya salad), Glass Noodle Salad * Appetizers: Sai Oua (sausage), Potstickers, Tee Rak Wings Find them on Instagram @teerakstl Current hours: Wednesday-Monday 4pm-10pm (closed Tuesday)

I get that this is a Thai restaurant, not Chinese (though it's more Chinese than I am), but Meyou might consider such a policy. I would have benefited from it yesterday. I visited on a Wednesday evening with members of a running group. There were umpteen of us. If we'd been given a single egg roll appetizer, we would have been forced to cut it in tiny pieces and share. I would have been willing to do that, because I'm a confirmed, avowed savage. My reputation precedes me. Arguably, they should give you one free appetizer for every six members of your party. But I digress. Now, where was I? Ah yes, Meyou. I'd describe this place as a somewhat Americanized version of Thai food, based on what little I know from having recently visited Bangkok and eaten in roughly 40 or 50 restaurants, food stalls and what have you over the course of a few days, i.e. not a whole lot. You can get pad thai and various other soups, noodles and curries, along with fried rice, egg rolls, crab rangoon and chicken wings. It's got a little something for everyone. Do they charge you $0.25 for extra soy sauce? Can you call up and try to harangue them into giving you a free order of crab rangoon by claiming that they shorted you the last time you were there, knowing good and well they can count better than you? I'm not sure. I might try that on my next visit and report back. This time, I went with something called Pad See Ew, which wasn't nearly as gross as its name suggests. In fact, it was good. Its description on the menu, with broccoli, eggs and soy sauce, called to mind various things I might order from a Chinese takeout--which is what I tend to look for in a menu item. As a noodle dish, I figured the overall flavor profile might not be different from a lo mein lunch special I used to get decades ago, that I still fondly reminisce about on a weekly basis. I wasn't that far off from the mark. They let you choose the spice level, ranging from mild to hot. I usually get hot in most places, but I'm hesitant to do that at Asian restaurants, because they might have access to peppers that are technically considered research chemicals, like Temu Ozempic, and therefore not subject to FDA approval. There were a few girls there, and I didn't want to run the risk of my throat starting to close up. I'd have to find a new run group. Medium turned out to be just right for me, but maybe too spicy if you're expecting something along the lines of a buffalo wing. Even the mild, apparently, has a bit of a kick to it. The noodles were nice and slippery and cooked a touch beyond al dente, right in that Goldilocks zone between undercooked and mush. The heat, and the complexity provided by whatever they use to season this, helped offset the underlying sweetness. You get your choice of meat. No Diddy. I went with pork, natch, with apologies to the Honorable Minister. The amount they give you is surprisingly generous, except that this dish will run you. I'm talking modern-day Chipotle prices. Maybe a dollar or two more. Yikes! But I'd argue that the quality justifies it. If I lived nearby, and I had the means, I'd stop by on occasion.

I've tried their fried rice and it was nothing special, actually it was not good at all, gummy, tasted more like white rice with soy sauce and limited msg amongst things. The sesame chicken is literally just ok. Also tried one of their the pad lunch specials, added egg, again just OK. Love the fake food display in the window.

While not the worst pad Thai I've had, it was one of the more expensive. My noodles were dry and clumpy. It was hard to eat and required water. There was an unremarkable amount of chicken for the price. The flavor was also quite underwhelming. The quantity was also questionable. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back here. In a menu of stand out dishes, I think the sashimi is at the very top. The service was wonderful- friendly, knowledgeable, attentive but not too attentive.
