Located off Anderson Mill in the corner of a strip mall is a bookshelf with a door on the right side. If you cannot figure out the entrance, there is a doorbell to ring as well. I believe it is owned by the same people who own The Mill bar right next door, which makes it feel like a cool bonus space. My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it. We sat on high bar stools and overlooked the celebration directly in front of the Live band stage. We avoided crowd crushing, liquid spills on your clothing and the screaming that was taking place below. The great news was it was 77 Degrees rooftop was completely free. Amazing to hear the music from below in an open air environment In addition, the 77 degrees DJ was spinning pop, hip hop and other dance music. While the area is relatively small, they had roped off VIP sections with bottle service. We did not have any food as at this juncture we were not hungry. Because 77 Degrees has an open air setting, it was pleasant to sit and watch the band.

I'm not sure how quality the shisha was, but the entire time our hookah burned way too hot so it was hard to inhale and I have a feeling the "ice hose" only made matters worse. I have never had such a harsh hookah experience in my life! Both my friend and I were coughing and the guy never came to check on us. I kept trying to move the coals around and even removed all but one, but it continued to be very harsh to inhale, so after about 30mins, my friend and I just gave up and left. For the steep price of $20 (which usually there are special prices for that late at night at other places I have gone) for the awful experience, I will not be back.

Next stop The Rose Room...I have never been to this club because it has unusual hours....Friday & Saturday: 10 PM - 2 AM. This is the TAO (Las Vegas, NV) equivalent for Austin, TX. We began with a dramatic escalator entrance. When you get off the escalator and go left (only possible direction), you see a sea of sardine-packed people dancing like it is there last night of earth. There is a small section of the club with stadium-like seating and a standing area. The music was blasting so loud your body was literally vibrating. A huge LED lit wall showing different designs was the focal point. A DJ was spinning some high energy songs. It was on and popping. We stayed at The Rose Room for a very short while in fear that our ear drums would explode. In my 20s I used go out a lot with friends...surprised I have any hearing today. The key is when music is that loud, you don't linger. This is a drinks only club with a bar inside the club.

It's pretty easy to get to with red garage nearby but if you're coming here, let's be honest, just Uber. The setting is eclectic and fun with lasers, dancers, and people everywhere. We came at what felt like the middle of the peak of the night. It was packed but the energy was amazing. People were dancing and it was crowded but people were being respectful of the space around them. One thing that stood out to us was the music, they played a lot of different genres but it was smooth and everyone had a good time with the vibes being right. As with any nightclub just be safe and smart but have fun too. This place will provide plenty of fun, trust us... and the lasers.
