Real people, real food.... Kajsa, Breana and Marcus, wow. You guys really took care of us actually I have to give a big shout out to everybody that was working on 7-15-2025 was amazing.. i'm allergic to seed oil so they were very accommodating and didn't put any oils on what I ordered, I had a half pound of shrimp, boiled corn, boiled potato and crab legs. Everything was perfect, even their banana pudding with vanilla wafers. I feel that this company, is fair, honest, hiring great employees and I love all the signs and the pictures that are throughout the establishment. This is a great place to take friends and families..love the music and the ambiance. I WOULD RECOMMEND

First time here for lunch and let me tell you something. The food here was perfect and they give you a nice portion. Wait staff is very friendly and helpful especially if it is your first time and you have questions about the menu. This restaurant has a very upbeat Cajun vibe that fits in with every bite of your meal.

Slap Daddy special that was supposed to be all peeled.

More bad then good, but I would go back. First off the peeled shrimp and corn was great. Second, the boudin balls were good, but didn't taste like boudin to me. The location is clean and service is friendly. I ordered the peeled slap daddy special, but the crab wasn't peeled as pictured. When I asked about the problem I was told only the blue crab comes peeled? Then what is up with the posted picture of the peeled slap daddy, which I am pretty sure shows peeled snow crab, even though the meat is huge, in the picture? Very disappointing, I would not have ordered that being on special or not...hate cracking snow crab. The potato was good, but a little undercooked. My friend got the gumbo and what started out looking great, quickly changed. Almost no soup whatsoever in this gumbo and the taste is off. He even complained of it making his stomach feel off, but I ate some and no issue except for it not being a gumbo and tasting weird. If I am ever back in town I will try them again, but overall my opinion is that it is not Cajun enough. And just to remind you, the peeled shrimp were great! Next time I would probably try the Atchafalya. (almost forgot, no cajun seasoning on the table, but I didn't ask or look around for it)

The food here in my opinion is mediocre. I got the crab bucket and the crab was very hard to get out and stuck to the shell and they want to use a plastic fork to get it out. It was not easy at all and it didn't taste that great after all that work. The service was almost nonexistent really. Just a person that takes your order at the register and then you do all the rest of the work yourself. It's pretty expensive for doing all the work yourself in my opinion. The saving grace of this place is that the back patio scenery although a bit dirty is really beautiful with fountains and turtles and ducks and just very pretty to sit back here. I gave it two Stars because the back patio is beautiful but I probably won't come back here. I forgot to add that when you open up the Styrofoam that they give you the food in there is about 1/2"inch thick of butter poured over everything.

I eat a lot of crawfish and this is hands down at the VERY TOP of my list of places that actually do crawfish right! I got 3 lbs of crawfish for $7.99/lb!! You can't beat that. My bf got the chicken, fries and boudain balls. The only item that was flavorless were the boudain balls. We came twice within 48hrs and I will say that the 1st time the crawfish didnt have seasoning on the outside and the 2nd time it did so that was inconsistent. I actually preferred it with no outside seasoning. They definitely know what they're doing and I wish they would come closer to Dallas!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I have been twice it is very good. They have a main room where you order and the fountain drinks are. You order there and have a buzzer to notify when your food is ready. I enjoyed the red beans and ice and a Cajun fish dish w sausage and shrimp on my first visit. I had a shrimp and snow crab plate my second visit. We went to a second room that had a view of the deck and pond area. There is another room when busy. They have a lot next door in case it is busy for more parking. There is seating out on the deck. The fried mushrooms and fried gator were yummy! It is a casual and peaceful feel to the restaurant. They also do NOT accept tips at all. Will be returning soon.

Very good seafood. The variety of options on the menu is impressive. Many boiled, grilled and fried options to satisfy your cravings. I had the large fried combo. Breading was light and crisp and seasoned well. Inside of the fish was flaky and cooked perfectly. The tartar sauce is on the sweeter side and not to my taste but that's just a matter of preference. Cocktail sauce was good. Service was fast and friendly. The place is quite spacious.

Thursday Special- Peeled Shrimp Bucket! Great Value for the money!!!

We've been waiting to try this place since my Mom and Stepdad have been raving about it. I live in Houston so I wasn't expecting to like it! Well I was pleasantly surprised by the taste, quality and the service at this restaurant. The Bayou City has plenty of seafood restaurants that feature boiled Cajun seafood. Again, I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant in Robinson, Texas. Come see for yourself!

I took out from this place a good while ago, but someone that I was with suggested it for dinner. So, we actually ate at the restaurant. Really large place with seating in multiple locations, including an enclosed patio on the night we went there. Line was only about six or so people in front of us but it did not move quickly. Turns out the person at the register was new. Everybody has to learn at sometime, and I'm just passing that on for explanation, not criticism. The menu is extensive and they have different specials on different days. We were a party of three and ordered a 2 pound snow crab bucket, an order of grilled shrimp, an order of alligator tails, an order of crawfish tails, and a lobster tail, along with some beignets for dessert. Normally I would be more descriptive, but suffice it to say that everything was delicious, and I would order all of these things again. I thought it was good value for the price, quantity, and taste of the food I know it might sound odd to go to a fish place and say this, but the potatoes were fantastic! Also liked the fried alligator, as it's usually served in small cubes and this was more like chicken fingers. The sauce that went with the alligator was also very tasty. The grilled shrimp were very good also and worth a special mention. The beignets were served hot and were soft and perfect! I like this place, think it has very good food for the price, and a great menu.

Well this review is for my Mom she and her husband have been coming here ever sense they opened they LOVE THE FOOD & the SERVICE !! But!!!! Today they went and the people working where Not Friendly nor where they happy ! Seemed like they didn't want to be at work at all...my Moms food was old and greasy her fish & hush puppies where so oily and dense not edible ...her fries where hard she could not even pick them up with her fork she tried to but it just wouldn't happen they where to hard ... it was horrible she didn't even eat ... and can you believe not one person thought that they should get her a fresh plateshe said they all acted like they where mad.. she was afraid to ask so she left starving and threw away her food . She said she's not going back it's to expensive to have that happen. Maybe so idk what happened but I will say this WHEN THE OWNRRS AWAY THE EMPLOYEES WILL PLAY.. Employees Don't Care About Your Business they just care about Their check so my advise to the owner get cameras for your staff they works wonders and you can hire a person to baby sit them b4 you loose your awesome reputation as a great restaurant with wonderful food .. it Cheaper to pay the babysitter than to loose everything you worked so hard for. We have been wanting some good seafood, especially crab legs. This was just want we wanted. The food was amazing. The prices, I think are well worth it. The staff is very friendly, and we sat outside so our kids could feed the catfish and watch them and the turtles. If you want some really good seafood this is the place to go. Well, l finally found the best fried catfish in Waco. The fish & hush puppies were outstanding. My 1st time there. I will be a regular from here on out. Loved the decor & atmosphere. When we lived in the area this was my favorite seafood place to go to on the weekends. We were in the area last weekend on 3/19 and we chose to stop in before heading home.. We were very disappointed. Spent $100 for 2 meals. When my husband asked about the military discount , the cashier told him yes, we offer it but I already ran you up and cashed out. So, we left it at that. We received our meals the crawfish, crab legs and the shrimp were over cooked and very soggy , the seafood had lost all of its texture and came mildly warm. We ended up throwing away 1/2 lb each of the crab legs, crawfish and shrimp. Felt like it was a waste of our time and money. Will not be returning. Very frustrated and disappointed! read more

I am a fan of Tejun. The corn, potato, and sausage were phenomenal. The shrimp was very plain tasting and could use some seasoning. I felt like the meal could use extra spice due to the restaurant advertising as cajun. The drive thru service was fast and efficient, and the overall vibe of Tejun is a plus due to the tank and outside area. read more

We have lived in Waco for years and finally tried Te'jun Cajun. We were not disappointed! Huge restaurant, very clean, and not busy when we went. We sat outside and enjoyed the view. We had the Slap Daddy combo shared between 2 people, and added sausage and an extra corn. Much less expensive than I thought it would be. They also have a drive thru! Food was very good!! Lots of delicious plates to choose from and for dessert there are beignets! Which they offered up front to wait to make them till you're done eating! Also a great outdoor environment with a pond that has large fish and turtles! Pro tip, save your shrimp tails for the fish! There is also fish food for a quarter. Te'Jun is a Texas-based, Cajun-inspired seafood company. Te'Jun specializes in seafood done right. Quality, freshness, boiled, and fried. We have several dining locations and options. Our Robinson Restaurant has options for dine-in as well as drive-thru window pick-up. It has a main dining room, back porch dining with TVs, and outdoor covered pavilions over water. Open Monday-Saturday. You can also order live and in-bulk from this location.

History

Established in 1997.

Te'Jun was started in 1997 as a mobile seafood restaurant serving boiled crawfish to the South-Central Texas area. Te'Jun is Christ-centered and family-owned by Joe and Tammy Reid. Joe built the first Te'Jun trailer in 1996, and Te'Jun had its first crawfish season in the spring of 1997. Te'Jun initially exclusively sold crawfish along with corn and potatoes and shortly afterwards added boiled shrimp. The season ran only weekends from March until July 4th weekend. It was solely run by Joe, Tammy and their two daughters for many years in the beginning. In 2009, they purchased an enclosed, custom-built trailer. In 2011, a fall schedule was added, which ultimately transitioned and expanded Te'Jun into being a year-round operation. In 2017, Robinson was completed as the first Te'Jun restaurant. In 2020, Te'Jun's background operations were moved into a renovated office and warehouse in Fairfield. Most recently, Te'Jun has added a new restaurant in Red Oak, TX.

An immediate friendly greeting was offered at the door and I was surprised by the quaint setting. There were only a few tables near the bar, but there was a covered patio attached and even more seating outside. The menu offered most of the traditional Cajun dishes at a modest price, but I already knew what I wanted. I ordered the Atchafalaya Catfish, a catfish filet over a bed of rice smothered in crawfish Étouffée. It was amazing. The Étouffée was rich and hearty, with the perfect spice level, maybe the best I have had west of Baton Rouge. The catfish was crisp and golden, giving a great balance to the creamy Étouffée. If you are ever in the Waco area and have a craving for some authentic Cajun cuisine, you must give Cajun Crafts a visit.

Got to admit it, they got this factory processed food down to a science in a community that that doesn't care about taste or their waistline. Then you have the rows of creepy, mounted deer on the wall as they look down on you. What's a Cajun type restaurant without alligator? The only gator you'll see is a stuffed one by the door. Does not get much better than this! I know its a seafood restaurant but surprisingly enough I loved the chicken platter! I tried almost all of their options and the fried shrimp is for sure my favorite and possibly the best I have ever had. They were out of crab cakes but the chef created "Tejun Cakes" which are basically crab cakes made with shrimp instead of the crab and to be honest they were better than any crab cake I have ever had! This place is awesome! The food, service, location and set up is perfect for families or if you want to have dinner with friends. Seafood is not cheap, no matter where you go!
