I will not be returning to tek nails. I'm a cosmetologist and i went into tek nails after coloring someone's hair. I asked the nail tech to clean the dye under my nails before starting and she refused. she also left tons of space between my nail bed and the actual acrylic on almost all of my fingers. Even after asking multiple times to fix it the job still looked undone and like I needed a fill. It hasn't been 24 hours and 2 nails came off, hair is getting stuck underneath the acrylic, and there's still appearance of dye which makes them look unclean. I was so displeased with the service i just asked for a clear coat so i could leave. Upon check out i was charged $70 for a regular pedicure and a short full set which shows that they added several fees to what was supposed to be a $60 transaction. You're better off going to a nail salon that actually cares about the quality of their work, which isn't tek nails. read more

They are BETTER than several other local places, such as: The mall place directly across from food court (upper level). Place next to Thai Bowl (watertown). Place down the street, across from Cumberland gas station. Sorry their names weren't worth remembering obviously. Honestly I went in there with high hopes because I love supporting other businesses.. first off there was no welcoming service.. second they left a lot of their pedicure clients sitting waiting for half an hour... when I got attended I asked for a specific design and a square shape I showed her the picture the design wasn't nothing out of this world just a French tip .. she continues to do my nails and I realize she didn't clean up her spot or wipe it down from the girl before me which to me is unhygienic... she starts doing my nails and puts the tips on and starts shaping them.. she shapes them coffin so when I realized I asked her why is it coffin when I asked for square .. she said rudely she will fix it when done.. I felt very upset.. she finished and my nails came out really bad.. that's only my perspective on how they worked.. two of my friends also got their nails done and apparently got told they were not allowed NO DESIGN.. which is outrageous.. they left our nails looking a little off.. especially mine.. I wish I had pictures of my friends nails but I'll show mine.. honestly I DO NOT recommend coming here.. OH and I forgot to mention I asked the lady probably the "boss" if I can get a discount and she asked why and I explained.. she said no that they look perfect so I let us slide payed $70 .. plus tax $75 .. definitely a waste of time, money and energy .. have a good day!! read more

I have been coming here for a year now and unfortunately in the last few months they have been doing a crappy job every time. They say retouch should be in 3 weeks, but in just few days nails break and color peals. Not without saying that they are doing an horrible job filing and smoothing the nail. They get mad and give you attitude if you tell them to fix something or to do it how you want it. They start taking their language, but you can tell they are talking about you when they keep repeating the same word over and over. Never again, the pedicure was decent. However, I got a shellac manicure, with French design. The very next day the shellac started to "lift" off in one piece without any effort. I was switched up from one lady (non-English speaking) that did my pedicure then she started to do my manicure and when the man took over he started to apply top coat and my nails hadn't even been filed (shaped) or buffed yet..... I believe he may have used the wrong base coat too! When your customers are paying $30 for a manicure and you cannot even rub lotion on their hands when completed, and the manicure doesn't last a day something is wrong here! read more

beautiful nails in the pictures but I went in for a manicure and pedicure and the service was ok, the nail polish applied was no good and the application and shape is horrible. 10 out of 10 horrible. the tech suggested gel polish , I made the right decision by saying no. I want to say , I got what a paid for because it was $40.00 for both but its really bad, nail polish bubbled, clear coat not covering the nail and polish not lined up or carried to the edge . First of all, this place is very dirty and all the instruments they used were not sanitized, i came to get a gel manicure and after a week, it already came off, and my nails are in very bad shape because they filed my natural nails too much, the nail polish they used was so old, it barely had coverage and was a slimy consistency instead of liquid, and it took them way too long, almost 2 hours only for a gel manicure. Wasn't too impressed with the way the lady started doing my gel manicure, but I love the way it looks. She made me soak my fingers in acetone which is dif from other salons where they actually wrap your nails so your skin won't dry out. I opted for a Classic French gel and I'm totally in love. The atmosphere of the place is a total zoo, maybe because I chose to go mid day on a Friday? I will be trying this place again on a weekday and hopefully it's a little less chaotic. read more

If you're looking for a mid - high grade nail salon, this isn't it. You will not be offered wine, juice or water with a cucumber slice or lemon. The place was fairly clean but I would venture to say a cleanliness score would be a 5 out of 10 (their hand towels smelled mildewy and not like the lavender oil my salon uses. First things first, she tried to pull/cut my powder off my nails, after I refused SEVERAL times, they made me soak off my polish in a bowl, a small bowl at that (can they not afford some foil or those cute finger things they have in my salon? Then she tried to scratch the remaining dip off with her finger, needless to say it was all over me and her. She was horrible and I mean horrible at cuticle care, it was sort of like watching a kindergartener use scissors for the first time. I mean come on!!!! Now the real issue is that they do not know how to do dip powder. They have limited colors and claim that they don't use it a lot due to their clientele (rude basically saying that poor people only ask for acrylic or gel). It literally took her like an hour just to do the dip and she brushed most of it off, whatever topcoat she used was NOT shiny and the glitter gel she used she didn't even put a topcoat on so now I'm walking around with 2 sandpaper nails. Now I won't just bash them, I will say that their customers seems to be happy and they had several regulars that came in. One lady even confessed that she had to pay on Tuesday and was still allowed service. Listen if you are in a pinch and need basic nail service like gel I'd say go at your own risk but if you're used to an upscale establishment, skip this place, its not worth your time or money. read more

Terrible. I wasn't having a great day to start with and figured a visit to the nail salon would do wonders for my mood. The last thing I was able to do was relax. My technician hounded me the entire time (45 mins + for a simple mani) for add-ons, and other colors. I brought my own colors with me and simply wanted to clean up my cuticles- nothing special. It shouldn't have taken soo long, it's as if she prolonged my time with her so that she could sell me more than what I wanted. She kept bringing up gel. Asked if I wanted rhinestones, and designs. All things I refused from the moment I sat down. She kept insisting. I kept refusing. I was fed up and even more annoyed by the time I left. In short, my manicure didn't last beyond a day. My friend got her nails done here yesterday and said they are way overpriced, the workers can't understand what you're saying, and they gave her the wrong color and did a sloppy job painting them. Plus left them unstraight. Now she has to go someplace else to get them redone, and spend more money. This place is to be avoided like the plague. Horrible!!! read more
