Not spectacular not terrible but good. I ordered the carnitas quesadilla , Al pastor burrito, and chips and salsa for me and my boyfriend. It was a LOT of food, which I appreciate. Had plans at Pantages. This was a restaurant we found on a Google search of restaurants within walking distance of the theater. They were wonderful enough to take her reservation for 13. We were seated early. Our waitress, Byanka....she was fabulous. She started us with drinks. All of our drinks came quickly. She took all of our orders, and literally, within 10 minutes, the food was rolling out. We were all amazed with how delicious the food was and how reasonable the prices were, considering it's Hollywood. It's cheaper than parking! The steak on the sliders was not only a plentiful but had the best flavor. We all shared the asada fries. Those were also delicious. Was just the right amount of food to not have to take anything home. On top of all that, she gave each one of us our own bill to pay. Gratuity was already on there, which is pretty common for a large group. I would say the only downside is they charge for chips and salsa, which are usually free at most places, but I get it. Taco tUuuuesday... they have a happy hour menu with some drinks and foods. They have tacos on the happy hour menu and they are only $2 bucks. (Min 3). The guac was fresh and tasted great. The chips were cold nothing special but who cares chips should not be eaten anyways (at least not more than a few) The asada tacos were tasty .. I like to put my guac and some lime and sauce before I jump in as you can see. We ordered the happy hour wings. I liked the texture and how well it was cooked but not the lime or lemon flavor of it. I'm not penalizing cause you don't go to Mexican restaurant to get wings. They have Corona light on tap which is a plus, and service is great. This place is the epitome of "just okay". A friend brought us here while we were in town. I like the space, the outdoor area is nice. The wait staff was adequate and did their job well, our waitress was an absolute sweetheart, I wish I could remember her name. I know it's on Hollywood blvd and all but the fact that the only drinks on the menu that are less than $12 are a bottle of domestic beer or soda makes me sad. The margarita I got wasn't anything exciting. I got more joy from the salt on the rim than the drink itself. I ordered wings and I got way more than the menu said which I'm guessing is because they were smaller wings but i thought it was a great portion for the price, but they were just... wings. I haven't tried the food here but I have been coming to this place since I was 21. I am not sure if the businesses are the same as when I was younger but I enjoy coming here. They are not strict on the dress code like the other places in Hollywood. I enjoy the bartenders because they are very nice and don't pressure you into buying expensive liquor. Want to start off by saying that when we walked up the security almost didn't let us in because my gf's sister forgot her ID, but the server let us sit down anyway. Overall really good service. Now lemme get to the flavor of the tacos... They were okay, nothing really special, even with lime and salsa verde. I would've liked some beans, rice, and red salsa with these tacos and even my gf's sister (who ordered a burrito) didn't get any rice or beans with the meal. That being said, what we did receive wasn't bad by any means, but it didn't feel like anything special when it comes to Mexican cuisine. Restaurant is large enough to hold a decent amount of people so I've never had to wait. But happy hour is where it's at so get there early. We started with an order of chips and small sized guac. The guac and salsa are very tasty. We also had the chicken quesadilla; which comes with sour cream on top and side of guac/salsa. Our 3rd item was the 3 tacos; chicken, pork, and steak. Great tasting tacos! It's quite nice to sit outside on a nice day. We were seated outside on one of the high tables. It was a Thursday night, and they were a bit busy. It took some time to get some attention from our server, but a good experience overall. I'm definitely going to make frequent visits. I look forward to checking out other items on their menu. Street parking in the area. Mostly meters around but you can find free parking on the side streets. I should preface this review by stating my BF and I drink (and make at home) margaritas fairly often, so we are tough critics. This wasn't a bad cocktail, but it wasn't as strong or as flavorful as I'd have liked. My bf ordered one of the large sized frozen mango margaritas. It was incredibly sweet and artificial tasting. After I finished my drink, I had to help him try to get his drink down! He regretted ordering this huge drink. I think ordering margaritas on the rocks may be the better option here.
