We had an absolutely incredible time at Tel Aviv Waterfront! The vibe here is unmatched--you get beautiful waterfront views paired with a fantastic upscale lounge atmosphere. My friends and I saw this place had hookahs, so we decided to check it out. We just moved here and are in the market for a good hookah place. Drinks were mid, and the food was cold -- would've been better if it was served hot. The hookah was also mid. They had speakers and kept turning the volume up. Nowhere does it mention a mandatory 20% tip. I wouldn't mind it if it was stated beforehand. Overall, the place was filled with older men. We were the youngest people there. Cigar bars are few and far between in the area, so Tel Aviv has become the go-to spot for me and my good friend who enjoys an occasional cigar. The venue is reasonably large, the seats are comfortable, the service has been very good (and it was excellent today), and they have a large humidor for anyone arriving empty-handed. I've worked through a handful of menu items and found the lamb lollipops are particularly good (order them medium). That said, this isn't a place I'd choose strictly for dinner unless the ambiance of lingering cigar smoke is part of the draw (pun intended). In warmer months, the large outdoor deck along the water is a really nice spot. So if you're into cigars or hookah and live in the area, this might be your place too. Given how rare cigar-friendly venues have become, I'm bumping this up to a five-star rating. Tip: Beware of the sidewalks on this street. My drink was pretty watered down and the apps weren't very good. The calamari was chewy and oddly cold. We asked for it to be sent back. The tacos weren't great either. The best thing was definitely the grape leaves. The main takeaway was the service, It wasn't great at all. We got our food quickly but after we complained about the calamari we were after thoughts. Bartenders were like non existent and flirting with patrons to make bigger tips while my bf and I and another couple sitting near us were waiting for a super long time for more drinks. We all decided we didn't want anymore by time a different bartender came by so we all got our bills and left. We got another cheese and meat board only this time it was not as full as the first and missing stuff that was on it previously. There's something so perfect about it's perfectly situated slot right in the heart of East Providence that makes this place even more special. As soon as we walked in, the service was impeccable. Browsing the humidor, we selected some noticeably reliable cigars and proceeded to our comfy leather couches to just soak in the night. I love the relaxed environment as well as the spaciousness of its indoor seating area. The owner passed by and chatted with us for a bit. Everyone was so nice, I can't wait to come back. Once our appetizers arrived, it was immediately consumed. I've always been a fan of lamb and these little medallions were just the Mediterranean touch I was yearning for. Of course, I added grape leaves to my order because I'm a big fan of these zesty and potently flavorful logs showcasing all aspects of Mediterranean cuisine worthy of praise. The dress code isn't strict but I'd suggest to leave the shorts at home and bring out the finer threads for this destination. We had just gotten to town. Neither my husband nor I had ever been to Providence before. We saw this restaurant and decided to stop in for a look at the menu. At first, I didn't think we would stay. There was a man smoking a cigar on the back deck. I despise the smell! We decided to at least order an appetizer. We got the calamari. I have never had it served this way. Wow I was pleasantly surprised by this place. We went on a recommendation from a friend as a place for good Mediterranean food and they did not disappoint! We ordered the Mediterranean platter as an app and OMG the GRAPE LEAVES!! I'm not a grape leaves fan but these blew me away. The hummus and babaganoush was also perfect and not too salty. I ordered the calamari as my main and it was also so flavorful. The balsamic drizzle was a bit sweet for me but still tasty. The weather was gorgeous the day we went, so sitting outside on the patio overlooking the water was the PERFECT end to a long day of work. The wait staff was also excellent and extremely attentive. I was really impressed by how quickly our food and drinks were prepared. My one complaint is that there was a bit of a smoky smell, but it is also a cigar bar so that's understandable. The breakfast potatoes were made in old oil and they smelled funny. My girlfriend got food poisoning and hadn't eaten anything else the entire day. We sat down in the outdoor area of this restaurant which is reminiscent of the pool area of a motel 6 and ordered 2 waters, Lamb lollipops, and a hookah. I didn't know you could mess up water but our came out pink so it remained untouched and gave us an idea of the lack of attention that the staff gives to the food served which we would have further confirmed when we witnessed how they left food sitting on the counter outside for 20 minutes before a waiter actually brought it to its table. For obvious reason we were afraid to eat the lamb and sauce it came with because we were afraid of getting food poisoning, but we did eat the lamb and it was TERRIBLE. The worst lamb I have ever had. My boyfriend and I are from out of state and went in on a Friday night. The only thing the place had going for them was their drinks... We ordered a salad and hummus plate to start and was charged for 3 appetizers instead of the two. I had the shrimp fra diblao and it was inedible (their spice was just drowning the dish in pepper flakes). It took over 20 minutes to receive a small dish of Parmesan and by the time it arrived we were ready to leave. The waitress tried to make amends by offering us free shots for all the trouble and by the time we got the bill we were charged for the "on the house drinks". This was a poor experience and would never recommend or advise anyone to go here for any food. Only go for the drinks (those were good). read more

Tried to give them the benefit of doubt. But after several attempts, and I cannot recommend this place. I am a 35-year-old successful professional, and an avid cigar smoker. But on multiple occasions, I've been treated like Im some 18 year old punk when attempting to enter. And I've witnessed others not go through the same hassle. My wife and I ordered drinks with a server. After 25 minutes, the server did not return. My wife had to approach someone who then sent over a second server. The bartender overheard and stated those drinks had been made for 20 minutes and they were sitting at the service bar. Those were the drinks that were delivered to us. Watered down by melted ice. There are some staff who are are courteous and professional however the overall experience is not what I would recommend. read more

They have a great Cigar selection and Humidor as well as a Healthy, wide-ranging Mediterranean menu. Service is on top of things which appears to be led by great management. Last night 2/17/24 my husband and I came in just for their delicious lollipop lamb chops and drinks. We were approached by some man who said he really was the manager but really wasn't telling my husband he needed to take his hat off. His approach was really unprofessional and that was that! The next thing was some super drunk pushed up on my husband trying to kiss him and then me. I told her to back off. The manager was in the presence did nothing! I am a black male from Connecticut and I give this place 0 stars. I finally got in after the second time (bouncer was on break or something). I wanted to check out the blatant racism going on in this place and found something even more completely stupid. A staff that was not competent or aware that they serve the customers period. I laughed at the way they acted. All we're looking unhappy, even though it was a sunny day and they are a couple of feet from the water. The bartender was not aware of anything on the menu. First they told my wife that they can't substitute quinoa for rice. But I ordered steak and potatoes to go. I happen to look at my meal, which was weirdly wrapped in a grocery store bag and found out they substituted my potatoes for rice without my knowledge. The bartender said the fryer was off so they just substituted it. I asked to speak to the manager and she came back out and told me he doesn't want to talk to me. She gave me an option to refund my order. They took the food that I was eating and picking through back to the kitchen after I opted for a refund. Hope they did not serve it to anyone else lol. So, finally the manager comes out to process the refund. Then proceeds to get mad because I said "I know it's about the money, but you could give the customer a heads up about a order substitution." He begins to yell at us, telling us that it's not their fault lol. So I guess it was our fault. This was the most funniest situation I ever had at a restaurant in my life. I should of recorded it. This place is definitely weird and has bad energy with aurora of racism. But not a simple American racism. This is definitely racism rooted from Israel with a splash of classism. But they act very ghetto and broke. I'm confused which way they are going. Hopefully they can get their racism together and do it the old fashion American way. But I will not be back.
