The decor is very cute and cozy and the quality of the drinks are wonderful. The shakes (especially the Orange creamsicle), smoothies and lattes are rich in flavor and won't disappoint. Unfortunately, the service we received today wasn't as pleasant as the last time we visited. We visit this town (& coffee shop) every few months. When we arrived this time, we inquired on the "new" Yelp check in-offer for the free cookie with drink purchase that was currently being offered on Yelp. Although she had to call the owner about it, her attitude was definitely not welcoming and was filled with doubt, as if I had anything to do with the offer. She was told by the owner it was a very old offer and that they couldn't honor it. Terrible customer service. How hard would it have been for them to honor the offer, for my very excited children, and take the loss of one small baked item, while they contact Yelp and ask for the offer to be removed. In a small town, customer service should always be top priority. Do you want returning happy customers that can rely on consistent service or risk a bad reputation and being taken as a business with false advertising.

The place is adorable from the outside, looks like a regular house. They have some seating outside on the porch as well with a heat lamp. Inside there is minimal seating downstairs, but it looks like there is more upstairs. We took our drinks to go so we didn't take a look up there, but would have as it was filled up downstairs. Service was a little weird, three or four people working back there, and yet after standing there for a minute or two (after watching someone in front of us pay and go sit) one of them yells towards us from like four feet away that she'll be right with us. The person who took our order just kept going "ok and what else" but it sounded rude or like she was annoyed which was off putting. The wait for our drinks was minimal, nothing unusual. It was normal tasting coffee, nothing special. I did get a Honey Lavender Latte, my friends got a Cardamom latte and Salted Caramel Latte. They all tasted weirdly similar. And it was 16 dollars for three drinks and you don't get to pick the size. Everything is expensive anymore even when it's not special.

Enjoying a late breakfast/early lunch after a visit to the nearby clinic. Friendly, efficient service, and the food came out hot, hearty, and delicious! Telvet Burrito has four kinds of cheese, several meats, and a host of vegetables. Breakfast Bagel is normally egg and cheese (with lots of possibilities for add-ons); they kindly let me substitute bacon for the cheese. Yum!

Swung by this place to pick up a quick breakfast and it did not disappoint. Their efficiency does not compromise the quality of their food and drinks! I had the spiced chai latte and their meat burrito, which were perfect starts to my day. My partner got their iced oat milk lavender honey latte, which I can confirm as a must-get! The cafe itself is small and cozy, which would've been a great vibe for today's rainy weather if I hadn't been in a rush! The baristas are quick and on top of it, even despite being busy. Definitely an underrated spot that deserves more recognition and patronage!

The coffee game is strong here and the breakfast treats and foods are top notch. Only reason I am giving them four stars is they tend to be a little slow so go when you are not in a hurry. Honestly though a great place. read more

Came here after recommendations for their breakfast burrito. It was easy to park and find. The location was visually pleasing and was nice and clean inside. The burrito was terrible though. Around 11ish bucks without tip (but I tipped). The most uncooked potatoes on a burrito I have ever had in my entire life. I almost referred to as a burrito I would make at home but it worse and was terribly underseasoned, undercooked and overpriced. I will not be ordering this item again. I may try the place again for the coffee. read more

Best place in town to grab drinks and a snack. The drinks are great, and the bubble tea is on point... very rare in portland. They have plenty of rooms to hang out and study. If you need something quiet you can use the room upstairs as well. read more

Great customer service and the coffee is so smooth- just perfect. I tend to be a bit picky about coffee since I just take it black but theirs is the beat I've had in a long time. Right off the bat, it was obvious to tell this was a popular coffee joint. There was always a lot of people in line, seats full, and workers working. That doesn't mean it's hard to find a seat, however. There are plenty of outdoor, indoor, and upstairs seats to use. This is a beautifully renovated home, that makes me feel cozy and comfortable. There are tables for two, bar seats, and circular tables outdoors. The cookies were pretty good (the one I got for checking in), and it went well with my coffee (I ordered a caramel latte with soy milk). Unfortunately, this coffee joint falls flat when we tasted the coffee. It was very average. My caramel latte was nothing special, and my friend's coffee was just BITTER. Nothing was too expensive, price wise. There are plenty of milk alternatives that you can add to your coffee for an additional 50¢. Our order, total, which consisted of two coffees and an outmeal, came out $13. Plus my free cookie. This is a good place to study, but you need to learn what you like, as all coffee places go. First of all, I am so happy with the customer service, especially considering I had my hands full and the employee working at the time opened the door for me. It's little things like that that really make a place special. Secondly, the coffee and the food are delicious. I had the sea cream Vietnamese coffee and loved it. (Being from Houston Texas, I really missed my Vietnamese favorites and this had a little twist) I also had a breakfast burrito and that thing was HUGE but hearty and flavorful. My second trip had a basic latte and a muffin and the poppyseed muffin was moist and substantial. The latte itself was not as bitter as I expected which really made me happy. All in all a wonderful place. read more

Consistently good coffee, great variety of milk alternatives, vegan bakery items from Tipping the Scales and a super cute ambiance with plenty of seating - What more do you need in a coffee shop? I don't need anything else but they also have amazing seasonal specials that you have to try. I love all of the lavender variations and Fall flavors. read more

This is one my favorite places to grab a morning bite and coffee. The breakfast burritos are really good and they also make a good chai. It's probably a pretty frequented place by the local college, but the atmosphere is very chill and the house it's located in is really charming. The sea cream viet coffee? Absolutely delicious, get it every time, cannot recommend enough! The food however is a different story sadly. I just got the Cali burrito and was looking forward to digging in but as soon as I saw the Tostitos/pace jarred salsa in the side cup and herdez green sauce "guacamole" in the other, I had a feeling I was in for a ride of some kind. So I tried the salsa on the burrito cause why not but to my surprise it was like biting into a lake, there was so much water in the burrito for some reason. I think this is due to lack of understanding of handling and compilation of the ingredients before presentation, but I could be wrong. Since the burrito was so watery it was quite bland. The sour cream was the best topping for it cause it allowed some of the other flavors to stand out of the watery egg mixture. If the entree has to stay the same for some reason, please at least chop some tomatoes, onion and cilantro in the morning instead of serving jarred salsa read more

What a quaint little shop! I was pleased with the quality and quick service. Wish there was a little more bang for you buck but for a new place I loved it. Couldn't have asked for anything more. They should look into more lounge seating for the future. But definitely a cute place. 9.5/10 read more

It feels rare to come across a gem like Telvet way out in Forest Grove, so when I stumbled upon this vintage house turned coffee shop, I knew I had to put it in the regular rotation of coffee houses to visit. I love that there is plentiful seating indoors (upstairs and on the main floor) and outdoors in the rare event that the weather is pleasant. Their drink specials are inventive and tasty - the Vietnamese sea cream is a MUST, although give it a pass if you don't have a sweet tooth. Right now you can get a free cookie if you check in, which is a sweet bonus! The wifi is fast and reliable (at least from the several hours I worked there). Bring headphones because some of the other patrons may not be as studious as you! read more

Perfect place for study or just work on your laptop. Workers are really nice and all the drinks are so good. Their snacks and salad are perfect size for small snacks or lunch while you are studying. They do get busy and sometimes people are so loud so if you are going there for study, I would recommend to bring headphones for sure read more

I hate this place, every person there from the brothers on down are as nice as can be, and have great senses of humor. The drinks and desserts are always interesting at the very least, and at best, are waay beyond what you come upon from any generic coffee shop. Their passion for what they do is evident in the people, decor, the drinks, the deserts, so: WHY won't they move next door to our house, and bring us coffee before breakfast, completely unfair. read more

I had the Vietnamese coffee here today. It was sweet but tasty! Staff was also super friendly. If you are looking to study though, I wouldn't recommend it. Tried to study here today but place was very loud. I could hear conversations that people had on the 1st floor as I was on the 2nd floor studying. read more

Extremely cute coffee shop in small town OR. Passes the esthetics test. Had a tasty breakfast of eggs, bacon and potatoes that was the right amount of food at a fair price (even given the rising prices at ALL restaurants). Great cafe with wide variety of coffee drinks. Ordered a bagel sandwich. The wait for the coffee drinks and for the food was unexpectedly long, staff was apologetic about it. Nice quiet outdoor spots on the porch. Absolute perfection with the ambiance and the friendly people you encounter. I have to say that Telvet Coffee is a beautiful fit for this community. If you love to indulge in a spectacular dessert , snack and top it off with some of the best coffee and blends and let's not forget the bubble tea amazing! Michelle Foucher Coon one of the baristas in the establishment is so friendly and offering up her suggestions when you go in and are unsure, she'll give you some of the best to choose from but says everything is good here, you know what she is correct. There are two kiosks for easy ordering. We walked in just a couple of minutes after they opened on a Monday and were the first customers inside. House Blend Pearl Milk Tea, 10% Sweet, 30% Ice w/ Boba ($6.25) - I'll start by saying that 10% is not nearly enough for this drink, totally unlike the Lynnwood location where anything over 10% sweet is cloyingly sweet for me. I ended up asking for a small cup of syrup on the side and titrated the drink until I thought it was sweet enough. My guess is that it took until around 50% sweet. With that out of the way, the flavor is identical to what I've had before. Rich malty taste with plenty of body. It's a very solid milk tea. This hechalou only has sugar syrup soaked boba, not a choice of honey or brown sugar boba as in Lynnwood. My guess is this is one of the reasons why the sweetness level is so different. Probably honey and/or brown sugar soak adds more sweetness to the drink than whatever soak they use here. The boba is a little firmer than Lynnwood and isn't as flavorful. Still miles ahead of most boba shops in the US though. Milk Tea Rating: 4.5/5 Boba Rating: 4.5/5 Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea, 10% Sweet, 30% Ice w/ Boba ($7.05) - Again, this one isn't sweet enough and I had to add more sugar. The drink itself is strongly flowery, again very consistent with the other location. It's a very solid drink. Milk Tea Rating: 4.5/5 This location of Hechalou still serves some top tier drinks. We like to go here for breakfast from time to time. Flavorful options. The coffee is always good, and the service is quick and attentive. We also love the feel of the building, as an older converted home, it has a great atmosphere.. there are even rooms upstairs where you can have small meetings. As well as the buildings warm and homey atmosphere which is great if you want to study or just relax and have a refreshing drink along with a good pasture.
