I was having headaches, and my doctor recommended I visit an optometrist to get my eyes checked out. Desperate for a quick solution, I called Temecula Creek Optometry to see if they would be able to get me in the same day as an emergency. They were able to find a slot for me later that day to see Dr. Venittelli. Upon arrival I was promptly greeted, and seated in the waiting area, which I did not have to wait long before being seen. I was given the customary examinations - puff test, peripheral vision check, etc. and then the doctor examined my eyes. Everything came back fine, clean bill of health, so that was not the cause of my headaches, but it was reassuring to know everything was fine with my eyes. I was so impressed, I ended up switching from my regular eye doctor in Hillcrest (San Diego), since I moved to Temecula and it would be more convenient. A few weeks later, I went back for my regular eye exam, and got my prescription updated and fitted with some new disposable contacts. The Dr. was very honest with me, he told me my previous eye doctor prescribed contacts for astigmatism in my left eye, but that the astigmatism was so mild that it was not really necessary, and I would have more choices (and less cost) for contacts without it. So, I gave him the green light, and he let me try some contacts out without the correction, and my vision is as clear as could be! I appreciated the honesty, as it gave me more options for contacts and at less cost to me, so that was great! I also purchased a pair of Carerra sunglasses (non prescription) and they had a great selection of men's sunglasses to choose from, at pretty reasonable prices (plus a discount with my VSP). In addition, I had my ic Berlin glasses updated with my most current setup. They had my glasses ready in a week, which was very nice! Overall, I am very impressed with the doctor and the staff here, and the prices are reasonable, especially with VSP insurance. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the Temecula area looking for a good eye doctor. read more

I suffered with extremely, painful dry eye until I found a special lens called the Boston Scleral Lens which I had to go to Houston Tx. to be fitted for in 2009. Imagine how thriled I was to find Dr. Diana Irehata, right here in Temecula, when I needed a new lens. The only other Dr. was in Los Angeles!! I was so nervous converting over from glasses to contacts but Dr. Wilson was so thorough in her examination and communication. When it came time to put them in and take them out before I left the office Megan was assisting me upfront and she was so sweet and understanding not to mention very very patient with me! Although I've never had a bad experience at an optometrist appointment, I have to say that hands down: this was my very best experience to date. I am so glad I found them (thanks to Google) and will continue to use them for as long as I live in Temecula. Starting with my phone call, the staff was very kind and personable. I got an appointment immediately: which may have been luck's chance, but either way it definitely made me happy. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a genuinely kind staff: all of which (at least for that day) were lovely, passionate ladies. My glasses/contacts exam was quick and easy, yet very thorough. Any concerns I had were addressed and everything was explained perfectly well in the case that I may be one of the "typical" patients who really has no idea about optometry lingo. I have a very petite frame and face. For this reason, I actually had not purchased new glasses since 2007. I could never find any that I liked, and therefore figured "why waste the money when I usually wear my contacts anyways?" However, one of the staff members assisted me with finding glasses: beyond any normal expectations. We probably tried on almost every single pair of designer frames. She gave honest opinions, we made piles of ones we liked, narrowed them down, etc. It was the finest of customer service: not only because the time she gave me, but also because she genuinely cared... not because it was her job, but because it was her passion. When we were finished, not only did I find a pair of glasses that I love... but I was happy they even had a pair I liked! Which, on that note, there ended up being a handful of pairs I loved that made it very difficult for me to narrow down. I never expected, by any means, to find myself in that situation. Really love the staff and treatment I get here. Two years ago had a great experience with Dr. Venittelli who did a great job explaining everything going on with my eyes and my choices for eye-wear. I felt very comfortable and in control of selecting what made sense for me. This last visit was with his wonderful daughter Dr. Dugan. Dr Dugan was very nice and explained everything very well. I wanted contacts and glasses which I've had before but didn't have a great experience with. I saw Dr. Katy Dugan in the Fall of 2014 and my experience was very pleasant. I had not met Dr. Dugan prior, but had heard great things. I was told the "B" word (bifocals)! I went from no need for eye glasses to needing both near and far corrective lenses. I swear it was my darn iPhone! I was starting to squint, but now I see great. Great experience with Dr. Dugan and her staff. I haven't had my eyes checked in 20 years and decided to try this Yelp highly rated business. They not only did the standard eye test and the glaucoma test, but took images of the inside of my eyes. I left feeling better about my eye condition and I did not feel any selling pressure to buy their products, which is what I feared would happen. Dr. Dugan is really pleasant and professional and she took the time to explain what the tests and pictures indicated. The whole process was less than 45 minutes for a very fair price. I know my eyes do not sit level but after a few go-a-rounds, they really pulled through. The team really went above and beyond to put me in the right progressive lenses for my needs. I never thought progressives could be this good. We moved from IL so we are slowly finding our providers. I highly recommend them and glad to say my family found a new family eye doctor.
