I love the friendly service here over all others & the early bird drop off has helped so much when my work schedule keeps me from a weekend service. They are a very understanding establishment that calls you directly if they become aware of any concerns with your vehicle. The location is between car dealerships on ynez & you could stay in the lobby while you wait on vehicle to be serviced or walk/uber to the mall to wait. They are efficient & quick with services like oil changes/smog checks. I used to purchase tires here, but I am not sure if this is something they still provide since I haven't needed tires recently. Last year, he decided to branch off and focus primarily on mods, custom builds, and speciality work on Subarus whiling changing the name of the business to RFC Industries. In doing this, he sold the service side (oil changes, tire rotations, basic repairs, etc.) of his business to 1st Choice Autoworks. So I've been coming to them for the non-off roading specific stuff that Chris still does for me. Luke and everyone else here is incredibly kind, knowledgable, and professional. This past weekend, I panicked since I'm leaving for an extended work trip (1.5 months) which involves my heavily modded Subaru Forester and I had an axle issue days before I was supposed to leave. I texted Chris over the weekend and he said come to 1st Choice by 8:00am on Monday. I didn't have an appointment, and just showed up. And this isn't my style. I'm usually so highly organized and do my best to be respectful, schedule appointments, and go through the proper channels. But I woke up at 6:00am and was in Murrieta by 8:00am. I explained my situation and they were so accommodating and understanding and kind. It took all day but they helped me out and got my car back in good health and I'm so thankful they were cool with me just showing up. This shop is trustworthy, professional, and now is really familiar with off-roading and modded, lifted Subarus due to SubiWorks' and Chris' involvement. I tried to unpair it but could not re-pair my phone to the car. I even factory reset the car, all the smaller tricks before that. To no avail. I called on Wednesday saying I could really only come in on Friday. They said sure bring it in. Today I did so. Johnny helped and he easily fixed my issue. He probably thought I was another dumb blonde, and no, he didn't make me feel that way. But I sure did when the fix was a simple cable (and believe me, I tried around 6 different cables, which did nothing). He fixed it easily (and explained there is a cable that is a syncing cable, not just a charging cable, which was my issue--apparently I have a bunch of the charging kind) and I was so appreciative. If they couldn't have, I wasn't sure it would be fixable. So glad Johnny took a moment out of his day to easily fix it. He didn't charge me. But I would've paid for it because I was frustrated in not being able to use my navigation. Thank you, Johnny for your patience and expertise! AAA wouldn't come out unless I paid an extra 125 for same-day service. Plus I didn't have my wallet on me! I was fully frustrated and it had already been a really hard day! So I was just about to maybe do the AAA and then have them come the following day or just eat the $125 fee. Then I decided to see if there was any mobile auto repair since I'm pretty sure I need a new battery. I contacted this location and another location. The other location quoted me $175 just to come out! Plus they were going to be closing soon. ASAP called me back just as I got off the phone with the other location. He said is it only a jump? I'll charge you a very small fee and we'll see if you need a battery because he actually had them in the other location did not! So not only was there more of a concern and care about my situation. He was prepared with a battery ready to go and was cheaper/more concerned than the other location. I've been looking for a new mechanic because I usually drive all the way to Tyler mall to Adelino's auto clinic. For the last 20 years and they are fantastic! However when there's something like this and I need something close by I am most definitely going to be recommending ASAP! He was also really nice and super funny! He had me laughingand totally brightened up my day after I was literally just wiped out from everything. This is the kind of business that I love to support! Great job! The kind receptionist at Carmax Service referred me to this shop that is an authorized mechanic who works under Carmax's extended warranty program. Anthony efficiently ran the codes as my dashboard was lit up like a Christmas tree. The lights eventually went way, but after he ran them again, he recommended I get the battery replaced. He found out how much the battery was by calling the dealer, and some after market spots. He recommended that I DIY which I normally do with battery replacements. He even topped off my oil as it was a quart low. After I got the battery replaced at O'Reilly, I came back, Anthony ran the codes, and it was all clear and not indicating anything of concern. I will only go to this shop from now on, as Anthony seemed to really care, and go out of his way to assist me even though his shop got no monetary benefits this time around. But, he treated and handled my siutation in a manner that I was very pleased, so I will definitely go back.
