My AC unit went out two weeks…read moreago, so I reached out to my home insurance provider, who assigned Robertson Mechanical for the repair. The technician came to my house on Wednesday and diagnosed the issue. He was supposed to send a report to the insurance company to initiate the repair, but he never did. For four days straight, my insurance company tried calling Robertson Mechanical without any response; their calls went to voicemail every time. Due to this lack of communication and follow-through, my insurance provider had to assign a new technician to get the job done.

We bought our home in February of 2020. Our AC unit went out in July of 2022, 29 months later…read more Miller Cooling and Heating came out and recommended a full condenser unit replacement. The price was a little above market average, but they were willing to workout an in house financing option for us, so we were pleased.... at first. In August 2023, the same brand new unit lost a compressor only 13 months after a complete installation and replacement. The reason it went out was due to a leak in freon inside the walls right next to the condenser unit. They honored our warranty and only charged us for a service call and gave prompt and timely service... but then charged me over $2000 to replace the copper piping they say wasn't their fault... they claim it was "vibration" that damaged the pipe and they weren't responsible for the small crack in the pipe in the crease of the bend.... However, 29 months that same pipe held up just fine in my old AC unit. Once they replaced the condenser and attached to it, it barely lasted a year. The Crack is very very small... It seems logical to me that it would take 13 months to lose between 12-15 pounds of freon from that small of a crack, which indicates to me that Miller Cooling and Heating cracked that pipe while replacing the condenser and didn't want to pay for it. Shaun was very rude on the phone and refused to work with me at all, most of the charge coming from labor.... I have spoken with several AC specialists since then, offering up my paperwork stating charges and services and they all believe that Miller Cooling and Heating is to blame. I am an avid supporter of small business, but i have yet to pay the 2000 they want to charge me. If Shaun were willing to work with me I wouldn't be on here right now... but I can assure you that if you are seeking an honest company, this isn't the one you are seeking. Go somewhere else and save yourself potential money... because if they make a mistake, they certainly won't own up for it. In fact, they will find a way for you to pay for the service to save themselves money. Avoid at all cost.

Even though they said they would send me a refund. Context: I had a new HVAC build plus ductwork on a 1,000 sq ft home. For the most part the equipment works fine with the exception that it seems undersized when we have extreme climates in San Antonio (i.e below 30 degrees or in the upper 90s) as it struggles to maintain desired temperature in those situations. For the heater, my desired temp is ~66 degrees in the winter and for the AC, the desired temp is about 75 degrees in summer. I change out my filters twice a month since I have dogs and I run all my fans and have good overall insulation in my house. Regardless, I never really complained about these issues since I paid about half of what I would have paid for an HVAC system from a larger company. You get what you pay for. My issue with Miller Cooling and Heating company is their customer service. The one time I did call them regarding an issue the tone in voice I got from Shawn over the phone was very defensive and I was not even coming in strong to deserve that but quite frankly, I've felt this way every time I talked to him. When they came onsite to address my issue I was sold an "annual priority membership service" for $165 and they were supposed to come out twice a year to maintain the system health but they never came. Every time I would try to call them about it I would get ghosted and or get the runaround. At this point, I've talked to a Molly, a "Larry" which might've been a chat bot I don't know and I've tried talking with Shawn directly. Nonetheless this phone tag game spanned over the course of a year and when I finally got tired of it I asked for a refund which they said they would honor half but that was about a month ago in early April 2025 and still have not received anything. At this point I'm tired of dealing with this, it's not the customers job to keep track of their schedule. It's very unprofessional of them to put it on the customer to be on top of their bi annual service schedule. How am I supposed to know when you guys do your rounds? I'll be filing a complaint and taking my business elsewhere. It's a shame because I even referred them to a relative and gave them business but still got treated poorly. I never was malicious and I was SUPER patient with them but that only seemed to make matters worse.

We're very excited for Hachi Air to return and make their repairs/replacements to help our system function better and improve our air quality. Billy (the manager) was very helpful and ensured we understood all repairs and even offered to add a Water Treatment system for a discounted expense. (INSTALL UPDATE): Edwin arrived on time and completed all contracted work in a reasonable timeframe. He was extremely professional, and after hearing about health issues made additional "air cleaning" recommendations. Had Billy (mentioned above) call us THAT NIGHT and explained everything including pricing. We're grateful we were able to give our unit a hand up to keep it running, AND give ourselves cleaner air for hopefully less doctor visits in the coming year. Update: 7/9/26 Edwin came out today to help us replace our SOLARIAS UV SANITIZING BULB, they completed the assessment, got the appropriate bulb, replaced, and closed up my attic in less than an hour. Classic bait and switch. Over promise, over charge but under delivered. Don't let the sales person…read morefool you with "transparency and integrity" talk. Double check your work contract - and ask plenty of questions. This company relies on the fact that you don't know how ac systems work or what the current code is. First issue - item purchased was premium package that was supposed to come with life time warranty - The catch, only the outside unit is covered - not the air handler/inside unit. Second issue - my custom air duct work was suppose to industry standard to increase performance, efficiency, and optimized air flow -The catch, no air flow test was ran, had to point out that install team brough 6 dampers out but only installed two - have photos and proof - two weeks later - they came to install two more dampers. Third Issue - during sales prep - onsite team member said that attic space insulation was undersized - and said that it would be best to have insulation brought up to code (current code is R38) -The catch, insulation team only brought 4 bags of Pink insulation and missed front half of the attic - they later came back to install more, only after asking about the initial work completed - before work, insulation was at 3 1/2 inches - after work it was at 8 - to get to R38 insulation height should be 13 1/2 inches - to be fair on this one - contract just said top up of 4 inches (goes to double check the contract work statement) Fourth issue - post install inspection for both AC and duct work - per work contract "Test, calibrate, and ensure proper operation of the entire system upon completion." The work was done, and absolutely no test, calibration was performed. The team member that performed the final visit, didn't even check the outside unit nor open the inside unit closet door - he asked if anything was wrong and I provided the three issues I had. He left stating that he has to speak to owner. Fifth issue - install team will pressure you into signing the work complete form (my boss says we can't go home until you sign this - word for from the tech), if you financed the project - don't do this, until all the items on the project are done, like final inspection and any tuning or adjustments. You don't have to sign until everything is actually done. Ultimately, how a business is ran is on the owner - and he choose to not do the right thing, and fight me on the corrections needed. He's a great salesman but poor at customer service. I'll filed a formal complaint against this company to the Texas AG and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. At this stage it's not about how much I got robbed of, it's about public awareness of this company's business practices. Late night message from personal phone from their dispatcher on 26 June - regarding my request for flow testing for the air vents. I got a text from their dispatcher that my request for flow testing was denied from the recommendation of the technician that "checked" our system. Funny part, when he came, he was the one that recommended the flow hood testing to ensure that we get an accurate measurement. So how can the person that recommends the testing, also be the same person that denied it? I have screen shots saved from the text messaging to confirm this. The company quickly switched gears when I told them that it was unfortunate to hear the news - and that I would be submitting a complaint to the Texas AG and to the TDLR (I recommend anyone that had issues with this company to do the same) - then almost non stop texts back and forth only after stating that a formal complaint will be filed, when all they had to do was come fix what was started. I find it sad that it took doing that for them to "want" to make things right. During the follow up visit to resolve the insulation concern to our agreement - the technician used a hand held anemometer as a courtesy and showed that only two output registers actually blew air that could be measured...all other vents was not flowing measurable air, and the tech said, "yeah we need the flow hood to do this, let me get with Mike to see when he can get it out of storage". During the same visit, I was shown the duct work that was designed and the technician admitted that it was not what was installed (breach of contract) - another item to list on the complaint. Don't trust this company - I'm a hard working disabled Air Force Vet and they took advantage of my situation. Good thing I kept screen shots of all the texts.

HONOR AIR came out on the very next day, which was Saturday of Labor Day weekend and vowed not to leave until the A/C was working and blowing cold air! Mike actually left us without verifying the system was cooling and was okay with leaving our family of 5 and 2 pets another 5 days until his Labor Day vacation was over to come back! From the looks of the other reviews this seems par for the course for Mike and his company!

In the corner was a pile of insulation on the window sill which I thought was blowing from the ceiling vents. The worker inspected the vents which were clean then he took my blinds off the window carefully and discovered an insect made hole that was were the insulation was being pushed out of the the worker told me he had had a similar problem and gave me instructions and showed me which product to buy from Home Depot. Avoid this company at all costs. I am now evaluating whether to escalate this matter to consumer protection agencies to prevent others from being treated the same way. It's sad to see a business I've supported for years fail to provide simple explanations and treat loyal customers this poorly. All trust has been lost. For three months, I asked for clarification on why I was billed twice for the same unresolved problem, a matter your own dispatcher acknowledged was the same service being revisited, not a new one. That's why I reached out for clarification, as anyone would after receiving a second bill by surprise that was said to be for the same work. The repair was only completed successfully on the second visit, which is when payment should reasonably apply. The problem has since been resolved with no further issues, confirming that the first visit was not a completed job, something also acknowledged by the dispatcher. Despite repeated outreach, no one ever explained this or provided details of what was done on that second visit; I only received another invoice. After being ignored for months, I ultimately paid the second bill under threat of collections, not because the situation was ever clarified. The owner's follow-up came only after I posted this review, and even then, my questions about billing and communication were not addressed. I've been a customer for over five years and have always paid promptly once a repair was completed. My only request was transparency. It's disappointing that instead of acknowledging that, the company continues to deflect responsibility rather than address the lack of communication and customer care that led to this situation. I'm not looking to escalate this any further; I simply wanted the company to understand how this came across from a long-time customer's perspective. They've saved me a small FORTUNE multiple times…read more Today my aircon drain plugged upstairs. AT 4:30 pm o;n a Fridday I needed help. They sent out someone for an emergency call. They fixed it fast and charged me UNDER $270!! On a Friday evvening at 7 pm. when tech arrived. That's amazing. He also figured out how to unclog the downstairs sink which drained slow. No one else could figure it out cause it's copper pipes that are an odd configuration. Another time he sold me an air conditioner for about $9,000 less than others would have charged. He said it was an older model he had. It works fantastic as the house is older. Perfect match. I'm not saying they're perfect. But I've dealt with other plumbing companies who tried to charge me $10,000 for a problem they fixed for $300. HONEST is freaking hard to find.

Robert figured our hot water intake was mostly completed turned off and that there was a block in the hose at the connection. He turned up the water intake and removed the blockage. And stayed to make sure it was working. We do not know anything about plumbing. He could have told us that we needed a new water heater.
